Queen Bee is the coupling track, right? People can calm down then

Even if it's the A side, i can't complain because it could actually broaden their audience, they could always comeback to their 'usual' sound in the next singles anyway

I'm a k-pop hater, but I'm not hearing the k-pop in Queen Bee. It kind of seems like ever since that fad started a few months ago any j-pop song that has a beat or doesn't sound like a cliche anime song is all of a sudden "k-pop". As long as they continue their streak of selling a little more with each single, I don't care if they bust out a ska/gangsta rap/euro beat/new age/new wave/spoken word/gospel/straightedge hardcore/glam rock/ tribal music song.

As always I'm ordering from CDJ just for the poster.

The more I find out about this single the more conflicted I feel, but I shall reserve my final thoughts until I hear them all.

So far, I really don't know what to say...I don't even know if what I feel is good or bad haha.

Love it. Upbeat tune, catchy chorus and great lyrics too. Sounds a bit like an anime song

Best single since Mujouken Koufuku in my opinion. Now to wait for the PV which shouldn't be too long.

The style of music I like, but it just sounds so generic...too plain...yes it does sound like thousand other anime songs that I've heard before. I wasn't too thrilled with Eve but as a whole single I would say Eve is better than this. I have yet to hear Asahi & Kaoru duo's song but even if it was a great song, overall this single is a bit underwhelming.

Good anime song is never bad in my book. It is definitely a lot catchier than the last 3-4 singles. I just hope they come up with a killer PV for it which will make it so that much better.

Some peoples said it sounds like AKB48.
Definitely need a punching PV.

I would say poolside is better for upbeat single. Still eve is the best for the last 4 single.

LOLOL it does sounds like AKB's mainstream songs especially iiwake maybe, ponytail to shushu, and chance no junban

And yeah, i think that's not a wise decision..i mean, meniwaaoba, poolside, eve, and all singles after 2009 have that distinct Idoling sound. Why ruin it? that kinda bugs me.

It seems like the producer of Idoling wants to steer the group towards becoming AKB-lookalikes rather than being themselves. One of the things that I liked about Idoling is their distinct, high quality songs and if that is ruined for the sake of popularity it'll be a very sad moment. I don't think Japan is big enough to support two top female idol groups side by side anyhow, as long as AKB is at the top, all Idoling really can do is be themselves. Getting caught up in the AKB-hype is the last thing they should pursue. OMG I'm going to shoot myself if there comes a time where Idoling sings super-corny songs like AKB's Heavy Rotation.

From the first listen, I immediately thought AKB as well due to five things:
1) Constant thumping bass on the quarters, common in pop music, I guess.
2) Tempo
3) Overprocessed "wall-of-voices" mix, absence of solos
4) Bittersweet chorus progressions*** (probably the most important point for me)
5) Instrumentation, sparkley, synth string overkill!

The coupling track (粉雪が舞う街並みで) sounds like Rick Astley; somehow getting Rick-Rolled by Idoling!!! feels okay.

I'm hoping the 4th album has some sick original tracks.

Yarakai Heart is Little Big Planet 2 CM song

Two tie-up in one CD. this will be strong, but looks like everyone disappointed with Queen Bee.

I can't even tell who is singing what in Yarakai Heart, I think that is the biggest letdown, and not necessarily anything to do with the song itself. I guess that's how AKB vocals sounds like, I think Idoling should emphasize their vocal strength in their songs like they have been doing, otherwise they would be losing one of their identities.

Putting in Korean lyrics into Queen Bee seems like a bad move, I can't really see the fans in Japan liking that. It's just a B-side song though so shouldn't be too much of an issue.

The other B-side executes a little better in terms of solo vocals, but it does sound generic as well, as soon as I heard it the first time it reminded me of a Zard song.

Overall, this single is a very weak effort, there's usually at least one song in a single I tend to like, but this time, there's none. I think Idoling is seriously having an identity crisis, and steering off course by mimicking AKB too much.
