[CHI] Aaron Kwok
« on: August 04, 2009, 12:05:00 AM »
Aaron Kwok Fu-Shing 郭富城

One of Hong Kong's hunks! He likes to show off his six pack abs. He is part of (along with Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Leon Lai)  the Cantopop Cantopop Four Heavenly Kings (四大天王). He is known more for his dance moves and cites Michael Jackson as an influence. OF COURSE he is an actor too. Started with TVB to big time blockbusters with Coolio and Norika Fujiwara in "China Strike Force" and he showed off his acting chops in "The Detective" cuz he shaved his head! He played Tam and it was filmed in Thailand.

Butt seriously. "After This Our Exile" 父子 FINALLY gave him the acting credit he deserves, as he won Best Actor at the 43rd Golden Horse Awards. Really touching story, check out this scene:

Watch in 2009, for the follow up to "The Storm Riders" as he reprises his 1998 role as Striding Cloud in "The Storm Warriors" ALL based on the Chinese comic book Fung Wan 風雲 See Asian Movies & TV for more details!

The fiction thriller "City Under Siege," directed by Benny Chan and featuring Aaron Kwok and Fanny Shu, released thrilling stills on Sunday, Sina.com reports.

Kwok plays a circus crown who accidentally inhales a chemical gas while treasure hunting on a mountain. The gas left by the Japanese army in World War II turns him into a giant, mutated Orc-like creature from the movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Chan, who is well-known for his action movies such as "Who Am I?," appears in the film which attempts to turn a traditional Chinese kung fu movie into a Hollywood-style fiction and action film.

"City Under Siege" opens on August 8.

Here's the making:

directed by Thai guy Oxide Pang.

In the new film, Aaron Kwok continues his role as the highly myopic detective, Tam, who tracks down mysterious murderers.
