Basically there's an idol event called Ｐush★1 next year (01/31) and Idoling!!! and AKB48 are both schedules to appear. Fun thing is, though, Akimoto (the producer for AKB) mentions a new unit cleverly named AKB-Idoling!!!. A single is scheduled in late February.
I'm at loss for words at the moment. Although I'm all for Idoling!!!, I do like AKB as well, but mixing them together is just stupid.

I'm all for AKB48, but never got into idoling. I don't see the point in mixing them up either, because they can vary enough within their own groups. Besides, I don't want to learn a bunch of new names :P

man.... please just keep AKB on its own.
Hopefully this "cross-over" is only a one time thing, they release a single, and then disband.

Golly, I think it could be kinda fun!
When they were both on 3hey (wasn't it?) there was a bit of fun interaction. I like both groups and have no problem with some cross insemination.
It can be good when idol groups don't get trapped in their own worlds and mix it up a bit. Just as long as they have something good to do and a good setting for doing it together. It doesn't have to be regrettable.

The only reason they even came up with this is to promote each other on their respective channels. Idoling!!! showing up on AKBINGO and vice versa. They don't even realize they might experience hell at events.

haha, oh wow.
i like AKB's music but dont actually know a damn thing about them, or even know any names (maybe one or two). I saw Idolling on some stuff and wish more of there stuff would get subbed so i could get into them. theyre hilarious and have great personalities.

Here's a first glimpse of a double appearance from Idoling!!!'s 1h SP yesterday. They went to Nihon TV to appear in AKBingo, and also got permission to do their own "Iisou shiritori" segment.

Anyway, I watched it and it wasn't as entertaining as I hoped for, let's hope the AKBingo part will be better! :cow:
I think it was quite funny... but too bad AKB48 members are too shy on making crazy faces on the leaf blower since they want to keep their cute idol image on TV.

I liked them on AKBingo. That show has gotten downright boring, it's so repetitive. At least there's some new faces in it now. I knew they would do good. Idoling has lots of personality diversity in contrast to AKB's... heh, as much as I like them, they are a little... generic. :D
Sayaka-Meetan interaction was especially great. :heart:

Btw, does anybody have an idea of how this collaboration benefited Idoling? A lot of 'the haters' were against this unit because "it would only benefit idoling" as they are the lesser known group. Have Idoling sales gone up since this single at all?
