Not to be a party-pooper, but
looking uninterested means nothing. I can be fascinated by something and picking my nails at the same time, because I'm the type that has to be doing something with my hands at all times. The conductor of my orchestra thought I was bored out of my mind during my solo, when I was actually focussing on him in order to keep time, since the tempo was changing in that section. And more than a few people have thought I was angry or annoyed, when that's just my neutral face.
But yeah, I do get a little defensive when people say Jessica's always spacing out or ignoring things and what not.
We don't know that, and it's annoying when people dismiss you because it just
looked like you weren't paying attention.
Sorry about the rant, it just hit a little too close to home for me.
Besides, I thought the whole incident really showed more about the guy than Jessica. It's pretty nice to see that even celebrities can still have idol crushes, and to see how their celebrity status changes things. If any of us had given the girls lipgloss, it would have been just another fan gift. And in a way, it kind of was.
'Taste' quips aside, that she put on the lip gloss right there just shows that she's not the type to throw away gifts. It's always really cool to browse the section of SSF where they track when the girls use their gifts, because in comparison at Nihongogo they sent a GIGANTIC gift package to AKB48, and the confirmations of reception were sketchy at best. Whereas there is definitely that picture of Yuri in the "I<3SOY" shirt, lol.
