Quote
Louis Koo's new film "Poker King" (撲克王) uses the popular poker game Texas Hold'em as the theme and will soon premiere on the big screen by the end of this month. The film has gain support from many of the Macau's major casinos, where the film was shot in 3 real casino locations. From the casino floor to the gambling area, it has gain great momentum and excellent cinematography.

The was one scene that was shot in a real casino location, which talked about Louis Koo and his lucky girl Stephy Tang gambling together. Their opponents were Lavina and her group of sexy models, they tried everything to get Louis's attention, killing him by surprise. Fortunately lucky girl Stephy was by his side advising him, Louis then responded to the models by mocking them making 'breasts' with his hands and pretended to be them. In the end, he successfully won big money.

Louis Koo gets leg surgery will take a break for a year

Earlier Louis Koo injured his leg at work, which led to a ligament fracture and meniscus tear. His condition is rather serious, the day before he attended a luxury car anniversary celebration in Beijing with his injury. Later, he left a message on his website that he is injured and expressed that when he gets back to Hong Kong, he will have to undergo surgery. Then he'll be resting for 9-12 months.

Actually Louis started shooting many movies, but after surgery he will have to rest for a period of time. It was understood that many film production companies are still insisting to use Louis. Seems like Louis is a deeply favoured by the film production companies. After his surgery, he will not be able to make big movements, Louis laughed: "For this time period, I have to end my movie fate with Johnnie To. His movies are always so jumpy!"

Louis Koo and Sandra Ng does a 'wedding' in Shanghai

Sandra Ng, Louis Koo, Producer Peter Chan and Director Vincent Kuk attended the film's Mr. and Mrs. Incredible press conference in Shanghai yesterday. In the film, Louis and Sandra play a married couple, so at the event they held a 'wedding' live on the spot, exchanging wine glasses. Vincent joked and said he hopes the next time they can hold a first-month baby shower. Peter generously expressed there are freedoms of work, love and marriage.

During the event, there were clips of Louis and Sandra's love scenes, Louis said: "In my heart, my parents are the loving Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. Although they argue everyday, to them it is a form of leisure and balance. I bought the feeling I have for them into the film, the quarrel scenes that Sandra and I have, it's like I'm playing my father."

NEW MOVIE!

Louis Koo, Sean Lau, Daniel Wu, Betty Wong and Michelle Ye attended the press conference for new film Overheard II in the film, Louis appears with grey hair and grows a beard, looking 'old'. The director and screenwriter Felix Chong joked that to fight against 3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy, he added a bed scene for Sean and Betty. Sean said: "Not to worry, the director won't do excessive bed scenes, but will still be a very good watch." This time, Sean plays a stock speculator rich businessman. Daniel plays a retired soldier.

Although Louis is troubled by his foot injury, he still going to shoot the film. He said: "Because I can't run, I won't be able to shoot pursuit scenes, but I still insist on not using a substitute." He expresses that earlier when he was shooting a car scene, he carelessly crashed the car. "At the time I was turning and crashed, fortunately nothing happened to me or the car. Later I have a bomb explosion scene on the busy streets with Daniel. But if my condition isn't well, I will take a break for physical therapy." After completing Overheard II, Louis will immediately head to Shangri-la to shoot another film High Altitude Romance II with Sammi Cheng at the end of the month."

Michelle Ye and Louis play a married couple, but she gets betrayed by her husband Louis and goes to jail. Asked if in reality she had been betrayed by a boyfriend before? Michelle said: "I have been betrayed by my ex-boyfriend before, but many times because of work I was unsure, perhaps it was faithful to the relationship, but was betrayed in terms of work. So this script was written very well." Michelle smiled and said that in reality she will have to see how much she loves the person before she decides if she should return to him (reconcile with ex-boyfriend). She also expressed that earlier she was rehearsing with Louis, but because she got too much into it she couldn't stop crying.

Louis Koo has no high altitude reaction

Currently working on HIGH ALTITUDE ROMANCE 2 (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II) in Shangri-La, Yunnan, Louis Koo Tin Lok took time to return to Hong Kong and attended a headphone event with Stephanie Cheng Yung and Taiwan model Maggie Wu (Ng Ah Hing). The event presented him with a tailored headphone to him. Goo Jai said that while working at 380 meters above sea level, the high air pressure would leave him deaf. The headphone would certain help and thus the gift would be very useful.

Goo Jai revealed that HIGH will wrap in a month and a half, luckily he and co-star Sammi Cheng Sau Man did not have any high altitude reaction. He said, "High altitude reaction would be like being drunk and tired like lack of sleep, luckily I haven't had any reaction. Maybe due to my long term sleep deprivation, aside from running nose from allergy I haven't had anything else. I even feel my health seems to be better." Goo Jai also said that now he would listen to different music for each character because he worried that lyrics would misguide his performance.

tons of new movies with the hottest pop stars!

Sammi Cheng runs to save Louis Koo

Sammi Cheng Sau Man and Louis Koo Tin Lok's most memorable scene in ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II) took place in 6 degrees below zero Celsius. One ran while the other one drowned. In the scene Sammi saw Koo Tin Lok from afar and thought her long lost husband returned home. Seeing Goo Jai soaking in the spring, she immediately ran over, pulled him up and saved his life.

When they shot the scene in Shangri-La, the temperature was only six below zero. For such an icy and snowy feel, director Johnnie To Kei Fung deliberately chose the coldest time to shoot in. Sammi earlier in the shoot has already entered her character. In this scene her emotions completely flooded out. Sammi said, "Actually my first take already had a lot of explosiveness. After that I already felt like I was going to collapse." Finally the director still wanted Sammi to make ten more takes. Poor Sammi had to run, cry, yell and pull Goo Jai from the hot spring.

Goo Jai did not have an easy time either because he had to wear layer after layer of clothing and soaked his entire body into the spring water. Although that was a hot spring, with all the wet clothing Goo Jai was still fine in the hot spring. As soon as he left it the feeling was unusually hard to take as it was frighteningly cold. Actually he did not soak in the spring for long, instead Sammi took more time to drag him out of the spring. He felt very chilly. Goo Jai said, "Actually I really just let Sammi pull me, I had to play like I was completely unconscious. I was heavy so Sammi had a very tough time. With the hot spring I really didn't want her to drag me out. However because I had to be face down in the water, if she didn't drag me up I couldn't breath. I had mixed emotions throughout the scene!" After the scene, the team wrapped them both up tight, brought them into the house and used all the heat pads and heaters for them to get warm.
