^ Well, that was cute hehe.
I think it was bad enough for it...
"Why do you like her?"
Meru heard the voice and slammed her fist into the wall as the three others glanced up to her.
"I do! It isn't a problem, is it?" Meru snarled as the three went back to their discussion.
She didn't have a reason. Meru had liked her from afar. The long, black hair with the bright eyes. Her heart fluttered away before she realized she was heading into the library in the flowing white dress. Meru stood back as she ran over to the steps before turning back.
Her heart dropped into her stomach as she couldn’t walk in with her heavy black jacket. Meru returned to the ridicule of the others when she placed the jacket down. She avoided the voices and heard the question.
Her reply, brief, was what she had felt before leaving the group. Meru walked back to the library and stood at the bottom of the stairs. She glanced at her phone and let out a sigh as she glanced up to see her walking down.
“Hey…” Meru spoke softly with her hand up as she glanced toward her.
“Hey! I’ve seen you around town with others.” She greeted with a giggle. “You look rather cool with them behind you.”
“Thanks… I want to know… your name.” Meru grinned as she swung her head around as her scent caught the girl’s attention.
“It’s Chihiro. You must have a cute name too.” Chihiro answered as Meru felt the lump in her throat.
“It’s Meru. Can I call you Chichan?” Meru spoke quickly when she saw a group lurking over. “Sorry I’ll take you home.”
Meru hooked her arm and took her to the nearest lit place before they ran pass them. Her eyes glared at Meru as the exposed lettering on her arm had exposed the truth. Meru covered it before she moved it away.
“Yankee? How amazing!” She squealed. “It doesn’t look right but… thanks for saving me.”
Meru took a deep breath as her warm lips pressed up to her cheek. She had accomplished it before seeing a man extend his hand out for her. Meru closed her eyes and walked out as the empty streets had made the wind harsher, returning back to the hide out. Her hand felt the embrace upon her cheek, giving off a smile to conceal the pain that she had hid from her heart being broken.
