Ill be honest, I have no real interest to play this game. That being said, knowing what is actually happening is nice.

Edit: They do spoil a thing or two about the story so watch out for that. But I assume if you have been following this game since its release in Japan you might already know some of the beats.

I'm still fighting with myself over buying the "love is over" edition when it comes out in the US or not.
Even if I can't play the game in the end but at least I'd have the goodies.

The demo is out today!

I just got done playing it and now I really want it! The tower portion is fun, but I think I read somewhere about people saying it can be really difficult. I struggled a bit with the controls. Sometimes I would grab the wrong block or move it in the wrong direction. I mostly got around that, but I kept having trouble getting on the wrong side of a block followed by more trouble trying to get back to the side I needed to get to.

The game got a good review on Eurogamer (9/10 if you're into scores) but a bit of a beatdown by Giant Bomb. Sounds like it'll be pretty divisive, but then it always was going to be the case right? I'll still buy my copy thank you very much :D It's only a case of when.

So there's something about it I totally forgot. It has multiplayer? Is it online? If so, I'm thinking I'll have to play with the hipsters here and show who's the better block pusher/tower climber (assuming you get the 360 version)

I'm going to have to get the 360 version as well when it's released. Although I do prefer the ps3 cover work  :inlove:

Terrible idea to play this after about an hour and a half of Mass Effect with 2 finals tomorow morning. I couldn't resist though. When I played the demo, I kind of thought I didn't like having the cel-shaded scenes and the anime scenes, but I'm okay with it for now. I haven't played the game since the demo first came out, but I didn't feel like I was fighting with the controls too much. I only made one mistake due to having trouble with the controls.

It's good to hear that Catherine sold 200,000 copies in it's first week. It's nice to see after the retail flops in Child of Eden and Shadows of the Damned, that Japanese craziness can still sell. Especially if there's a thing called marketing behind it.

^lol At the woman inside the shop at the end.

This game got difficult really fast. I was struggling on the most recent level, but now I'm getting the hang of the techniques. It feels more like I'm setting things up to move rather than just just pushing blocks around until I see a way up.
