Goal Line Blitz is a web-based American Football MMORPG. We've written a custom football simulation engine to provide you with the ultimate football experience on the web.

Simply you have to create your players during the offseason or the season in play, which means they cannot have XP when I sign them

no you don't have to you just have to retire your player and make a new one, in your player menu there is a retirement options tab so you can retire him there before next season

well don't worry i have been playing this game since season 2 and i am going to look into how well our team will look like with some preseason games

EDIT: Our team is set, starters will be determined by skill set and hopefully we can get something good started

yeah it was and also a good thing for us having them again as our first opponent regular season wise

all my gameplan is in for the next one, we might be getting spied for the next game for other opponents out there so we are going to very open to what we can do for now

I'll be straight forward, I know I love all you guys (no homo), but the thing is that I have been around the block for these special types of teams and winning by a lot is fine but getting blown out is not fun, I know all you guys have to understand that.  However, I want to make sure if we get beat, I just hope I just don't blow it tactically, so I am being positive through this saying, keep updating your players, and we will get there to the promise land. :thumbup

I would usually put up a very crappy post for my goals but this time I will need to write this here.  For #3500, here I go, I have been a fan of this game since the summer of 2008 when a co-worker asked if I would be interested in this game and I had no formal training in football knowledge so I just created a TE and go with the flow.  Eventually, I got past the lower league to get into a team on the next level but it was a pain being the #3 TE on the team and by the end of that season I got onto the best team I had ever seen and they gave me a chance at #2, which gave me an opportunity to play more and I stayed with them for 6 seasons before I decided to retire my player.  It gave me a chance to do some ownership and I took two teams into the playoffs before but with this third team, I never had seen a much driven team, and we could overpower people like we did this season.  I'll admit that I never thought the QB was going to run for over 4,000 yards and we would only get a 1,000-yard rusher this season.  But, we did that and got a #2 seed in the tournament.  Now in conclusion, I think we have much more to prove out in this tournament and it took the people 14 fuckin weeks to get our name out there and don't ya feel pissed off now  :lol:

the characters now will have to move onto to different leagues because of the level but the problem has been you manage yourself to get to the next level or it was just meant for the pee wee alone so its your choice if you want to move on with your character but my advice is to always make new ones because it isn't worth a shot up in the higher leagues to gain if it was used in pee wee leagues

As officially our season shall be done in couple of hours, I am going to reflect on the season, as how I looked at it, I made quite a few mistakes.  Shall I point them out? No, because they were mainly in the beginning by not looking at who my threats were and I felt sorry to not look at that earlier.  I felt we could just make the playoffs but as soon as the season rolled along I found something that surprised me, a team that had a lot of potential to actually go all the way, and the more we got to the tougher tests we could stop them too.  But, someone had to win and someone had to lose, which it lead to our demise but potential was never wavering and another epic run came which we took advantage of every opportunity.  Again, we fell short but we did what we were suppose to do and that is all I could say we could have done.

Now, next season as seen above is a build chart, where I would recommend you guys to build upon, you don't have to follow it personally.  The second part is we are going to a higher division next season, which will involve a lot of elite teams from other leagues.  I personally don't know where we are going but I have a question out there, would you guys want a trophy?

If yes, we shall put everything into our efforts to build a nasty ass team to rip the opponents apart

If no, I shall keep it competitive but I am not going to expect anything else unless we have those seasons again where we start rolling over people.

I shall leave out for my agents and their players out there to do so, either tuesday/wednesday the players shall be released and we can start building for the next league, so if you want to answer to everyone out there that the Rika Lovers are no pansies I need your answers!

Tomorrow is basically the day where we have to start building players, all players are going to be released from the team, but I cannot sign players, so here's the deal:

Whatever type of player you are interested in, please tell me beforehand, and link your made player into this thread.  Then, I will give some strict training plans to each of them and follow them wisely.  It may sound rough and strict by me but I think I can develop a plan for the offense

This means, we will build our offense until we run out of spots, and I can recruit on the defense

Do what you can, before you post the link go to your player's page and in the bottom right there is a drop down menu for shared attributes and set it to "everyone can see"

Yeah good game. Although we shoulda won with alot more. Plenty of turnovers on downs inside kicking range. But atleast it made it exciting till the very end. Freckin amp deflecting that lass pass into the end zone. DAAANG BOI!

Sev, you brought up a good point unfortunately this is a trend i have seen for a while and many can't kick it straight or long enough past 35 yards, so I would like to give it a try to make it longer but i know past 40 forget it. :nervous but anyways thank you for the suggestion!

We controlled the ball, had more yards passing and rushing, so what went wrong?

Just looking at the box score, one thing that stands out to me are their numbers for their offensive line.  They got more pancakes and we allowed 3 more sacks and 5 more hurried passes.

But what I think made a big difference this time is the difference in our punting numbers.
Us: 1 punt for 18 yards.
Them: 10 punts for 246 yards.

Maybe our tendency to go for it on 4th down backfired a bit?

could be the issue on punting, but I think I should try it again but I feel better going for it on 4th down though, sometimes, it goes down to the big plays and we gave up the big one so maybe we should restructure the plan and I will look over everything before making that decision

Haven't gone play by play through it yet, but from the box score, it looks like we were holding up pretty well except for our passing attack.

I saw before the game that the matchup info had their pass D as pretty high.  I guess they are who I thought they were.

Well it seems we are going to have that playoff season again but it was rocky and its just a lot with adjusting and other stuff, now we are going to start looking into position playing again but now with a little help next season

ok to answer your guys questions, well for it to work you first need to wait until they get released from the team before you can retire them. 

@Sev your player will be at that level when the season ends, but for the team right now you need to retire your players then build them on Day 41, which is Saturday for all of us (Deft sed he will take the season off for school so saturday would be suffice) 

@Shura well i think for now, what type of work you want to do? you want to pass, run, catch, tackle, punt, or block?

Here's my own opinionated view of Easy to hard

Easy: OG, OT, C, P, K
Medium: DE, DT, LB, CB, FS, SS, FB, TE?
Hard: WR, HB, QB, TE?

Now, I have built all different types of players and to be honest many are headaches and from others I will tell you from a honest perspective, many take on specialties so this is the approach I am going to take to next season, I will explain more in the IRC to this approach, if you guys see me in there, join #GLB room

I checked out the Depth Chart after our loss. We're not starting our best players on many positions. Not according to the indicator things at least. Maybe we need to update the depth chart so our best players start? There's no reason not to right, coz we want to win, don't we?

We played in a more difficult league this year than last season right? I mean, I thought our team was good, but we goot whooped like every game.

Last season we had owners/GM's that had teams before in more experienced leagues, so they could set up the AI better than I could, so reason why we could get whooped in close games, and most teams had made their players by the book and boosted themselves by buying extra FP, so it was doomed to happen
