I don't mind if I have 2 posts in this topic, I guess I'll post the next chapter.
This is totally unexpected, but it think it's cool.
==========
Chapter 2 - Awakening I stood on top of a very tall pedestal, or so I thought it was. Beneath me, there were thousands of people. In other words, I assumed they were fans, because they were chanting my name. "Risako!"
"RISAAAAAAAAAKOOOO!"
"RISAA!"
"RISA CHAN GANBATTE!"
"RISAKO! WE LOVE YOU!"
I looked around, everywhere, everything around me, was swallowed by bitter darkness. Shadow and dark were the only words I could only use to describe this atmosphere around me. I began to feel scared. Chills were sent up and down my spine. I took a glance at my outfit.
A Two-piece hawaiian dress? I started to get the feeling of awkwardness. Am I alone? Where were the other Berryz? I began to wonder, too many questions had slipped through my mind. Other questions... floating. I didn't know what to do.
"Oh! That's right!" I thought.
I realized that I was at the Natsu Natsu Mini Berryz Concert, but why here? I do believe that this was the time for my solo "Yeah! Meccha Holiday!". That's why the Berryz weren't present at this time.
The crowd kept cheering until suddenly they started to scream ear-splitting noises. I couldn't stand it. I tried moving away, but my feed were bound to the... whatever it was. The atmosphere became very humid and hot, making me sweat a lot as if my body was crying.
"Stop! Stop screaming, it hurts!" I panicked.
Nothing seemed to work, they started to scream even louder after I said that.
Somehow, the crowd got closer, I was unaware of their presence getting closer. I couldn't see any of their faces. They had wide-open mouths, no eyes, no nose. You know, the usual modern-day zombie you'd see on TV, but this was a lot freakier, because it seemed real, not fake. Their faces were blurred out too, but I could clearly see 3 holes on their face.
"Can't be.. can't be.. impossible.." I panicked, engulfed with fear.
My hand was clenched. I couldn't breath. My body felt like it was run-over by a car. I couldn't feel my body no more.
I think I'm going to die. I think I'm going to die...
A hand suddenly grabs my wrist.
* * *
"Risako!"
"Risako!"
"Risako! Please be awake, please be awake!"
I heard my mom's voice. I had a hard time opening my eyes. I saw her worried face.
"Wha- what happened?" I asked, forcing myself to get up.
"You were screaming.. I rushed into your room to find out what happened, and yes, I thought right, you were in a nightmare.
She put her hand on my forehead, "And you're sick with a fever too."
"Eh? Wh-"
"Shh! Don't speak!" She interrupted, placing my back flat against the bed again.
"I'll be back, I'll take your temperature, and I'll phone school, saying that you can't go to school."
"Ok."
I closed my eyes, thinking about what had happened a few minutes ago. I still remember it all: the chanting, the screaming, the zombie-faces. My back felt cold. I placed my hand on my back. Damn, I was really sweating. I looked around my room. My cell phone and my textbooks were still in place, thank God I'm not in a dream anymore. I placed my head back on my pillow, I clenched my fists. Did my headache really go too far? I guess it was because I thought of him.
I heard a knock on my door. It was my mom, carrying a thermometer and a wet towel. She went back outside to grab a tray of food, those cook-it-in-2-minutes ramen soup, spicy flavor. Mm. I wonder what that's going to taste like.
"Try not to speak too much. You'll be even more sick if you do speak." she spoke in paranoia.
She stuck the thermometer in my mouth.
It took a couple of minutes to take my temperature. During that time, she looked around my room. Most of the time she was staring at my Berryz Koubou posters and my photos of when I was a kid, posted on the wall. She smiled. I think she teared. I guess my mom misses my childhood life.
"5 minutes have passed. It's done now." she took the thermometer as my tongue loosened it's grip.
"Wow, 38 degrees. You definitely have a fever." she said, making sure.
She placed the cold wet towel on my forehead, and patted it so it would stick.
"Get well."
"Thanks." I mumbled, almost lip-syncing.
I reached over to my desk, grabbing my cell phone... 9:19 a.m...
I had dialed Captain's number.
Ring.
Ring.
...
...
...
...
No answer.
Momoko's number too.. - no answer either.
"Darn it, give me a break!" I spoke in anger. My hurt even more. My mom was right.
I dialed Chinami's number. Finally I heard a voice on the line.
"Hello?" she spoke loudly.
"Ow. My head... uh yeah, this is me.. Ri-"
"RISAKO! It's good to hear your voice again!"
"Ow.. ow.... yeah... I can't come to practice tonight."
"..."
"You there?"
"Why? You have never missed practice!" I could tell by her voice that she was disappointed and shocked.
"I.. I know, but there's a perfect explanation.. I-I have a fever and it's pretty bad."
"Aww, really? That sucks, I hope you get well soon!" she spoke with a low voice this time.
"What can I do now? All I can do is rest and maybe eat a little."
"I'll tell the Captain. Don't worry, she won't be mad."
"Okay."
"I'll visit you soon too. I have to go now, the bus is here."
"A bus? I thought your mom-"
"Yeah, I know, but my mom's out somewhere, so she wants me to take the bus or a taxi. I prefer taking the bus because I'm not alone." she simply stated.
"Okay then. I'll see you later." I hung up and clicked my cell phone, as usual.
I took the bowl of soup that was lying on the table. It tasted a bit warm.
"Just perfect!" I grinned.
I lay back down on my bed, with the towel, still damp and cold, lying on my forehead. I looked at my pink Hello! Kitty clock.
"9:31 a.m." read the clock.
=====
Wow, this took longer than I had expected. But I must say I think I did a pretty good job. Chapter 3 is still being written so yeah
Wordsworth: Thanks for reading my fic, I guessed right that you were going to be the first one, and my name's Josh. My friends call me Josh, or LJ. On MSN, they call me Jay. My english is pretty bad, so if you see any errors, please excuse me. My sister says my name in Japanese is Kyuusei... so I happen to name the guy Kyu, in abbreviation to the name.
Ziggy: Yeah, but that will be later. I hope my fic turns out well. Honestly, I have a lot of ideas for it, but I'm not sure if I can hook too many ppl with my fic. I hope at least 5 people read this and review or something, cause it'd be useless if no one would read this, but I thank you for reading it.
Yeah, I'm still writing chapter 3 handwritten. When will I use the computer to start writing? Who knows. I usually go on my PSP to lurk and read fanfics. It's pretty much what I do when I go to bed or something.
I don't have that much time to go on the computer. I have to focus on school right now. I'm young (yes, I know what you're thinking about) and I don't know if I could post on a weekly basis or so.
But thanks for reading and the lurkers... post!
