Easily one of Hong Kong's legendary rock bands. I got introduced to em by a OS Honger colleague. 光輝歲月 "Gong Fai Sheui Yuet" aka "Glorious Years" is pure Canto Power Ballad. Tackling the ISSUES of the struggle in South Africa. Easily remains one of my favorite Canto songs.

In June 1993, Wong Ka Kui sustained massive head injuries after falling from a broken stage on a Fuji Television game show in Japan. Wong Ka Kui fell into a coma and died one week later. He was 31 years old. His funeral procession caused traffic in various major city streets of Hong Kong to grind to a standstill, and almost every famous Hong Kong Cantopop singer was in attendance.

Beyond was a famous rock band in Hong Kong that was founded in 1983. They have always identified with the people of Hong Kong, as reflected in their songs about social issues, pursuit of dreams, politics, and peace.

Though best of Beyond albums are plentiful, Beyond - 25th Anniversary offers some very rare early studio and live tracks that can't be found on other compilations. This three-disc 25th anniversary release features the first CD release of Brain Attack and Building, two tracks from Beyond's early vinyl disc release "Hong Kong Xiang Gang" which is now near impossible to find. "Wait Forever" (12 Inch Remix) and a live track of "Metal Madman" also make it to CD for the first time here. In addition, there are other live recordings from the 1980s, demo tracks, and alternate versions, making this an exciting and essential release for fans of the legendary Hong Kong band.
While the first disc offers rare recordings, the second and third discs collect 33 of Beyond's most popular hits. "Wide Ocean and Sky", "Lover", "Great Earth", "Arabian Dancing Girl", "Gray Tracks", "Really Love You", "Glorious Days", "Cold Rainy Night", "Destiny is Your Home", "All For Love" - all these and more can be found on Beyond - 25th Anniversary.
