With these three mangas you mentioned I assume you like something more serious and mature but since that not my area (at least in mangas) I'll recommend you something lighter and fun: Love Hina and Mahou Sensei Negima.

They are both of the same creator, Ken Akamatsu, they are insanely funny. The "where to download part" I can't help right now because I'm not at home but when I get there I'll edit the post and give you a link.

Very inteligent but not bloddy thirsty:
"Detective Conan" (Original tittle: "Mantei Conan". English tittle: "Case closed" [don't ask me why... ¬¬ ])

3 tittles with a little more adult [but not necessarialy sex] content:
"Monster", "MPD Psycho" and "Homunculus"

2 in the category "blood-everywhere-with-little-or-no-reason-at-all":
"Battle Royale" and "Elfen Lied" [no... there are no elfs in this one! xD ]

And two that has lots of violency and very dificult to understand story lines...
"Blame!" and "Eden: It's an Endless World"

Ok.... now you have lots of work to do....
you can find all of them by looking up on mIrc channels...
Search for some mangas is a good way to become friends with lots of poeple in there.... Good luck!

I recommend Angel Sanctuary. :) The plot is definitely gripping enough, and it deals with some issues I find interesting. :)

And here's a great site with many links: http://www.stoptazmo.com/

Battle Angel Alita's pretty cool.

Although it seems to me like I'm the last person in the world to read it -_-

I second Battle Angel Alita ^_^ one of my favorite manga.
but no matter what don't don't don't read battle angel alita: last order... IMO it ruins the whole story...

edit:
oh and MPD psycho is good, full of blood and corpses and all those good stuff xD

and if you want something with a heavy story, try 21st century boys and monster

You are not alone, my brother.

Battle Angel Alita and the new series, Battle Angel Alita: New Order, are my favorites so they get my recommendation.  It has a lot of martial arts action cyborg style and gets into a lot of philosophy.  It does have a lot of blood and guts so if that bothers anyone, you'll want to step clear of it.

There's one called Kaze Hikaru from Viz that came about less than a year ago.  It follows the struggle of a 15 year old girl who disguises herself as bushi in 19th century Japan to avenge her family.  Kaze Hikaru is surprisingly deep but light on action.  It may seem like another romance title for girls on the surface, but it really has depth and meaning to it beyond it being a another love story or a historical drama.

There's also Cromartie High School from ADV Manga.  It's hard to explain.  It stars various High School deliquents, a Gorilla, and Freddie Mercury from Queen.  It's hilarious, trust me.

Something that is surprisingly good is Prunus Girl. It's basically a gender bender manga about some boy who has a friend who's also a guy, but dresses up like a girl and has a lot of girlish qualities, so he's not sure whether he is really male. Honestly, the readers wonder just as much as the protagonist does.

The World God Only Knows is clever. It's a romance shounen manga. Not the most common combination, but it's interesting. I'm too lazy to explain it, but check it out.

Beelzebub is fun. If you're into medical manga, try Team Medical Dragon.

How about Shin Angyo Onshi? It's often compared to Berserk, and rightly so. It's very beautiful, fairly violent, awesome fantasy. The ending has to be one of the best endings ever.

If you liked gantz and Berserk, you would love Vagabond. 21st Century boys is also a good thriller manga since you liked Death note. Great Teacher Onizuka is one of the top mangas out there imo that everyone should enjoy.

Shingeki no kyojin would be a nice manga, it has a lot of conspiracies. It's still on-going. updates like 40 pages each month.

Another one would be hunter x hunter.. HOWEVER, IT IS ON HIATUS... :(
