yes...I hope we had more of furuyanagi, rinorie, sayamilky fics... also, that readers won't get scared with various different pairings...

honestly... the writers who do that now have their own places to write with just how it is hard for others to break away from the usual pairings. For now, I'm doing requests (which is on another board, PM me if you want to know what I'm talking about) and also I post on tumblr, which is where most of my stories to go regardless of situation.

Overall, the readers are very set to what they want to see and you can't change that personally, best thing is to seek others

It has been ages since I have last been to this thread. So, I wanted to ask this question for the sake of quenching my curiosity:

What genre and themes do you enjoy indulging in? Why do you enjoy them more than others?

I have no clue if I have asked this since I am a rather amnesiac person. (I'm joking, but you get the point.)

Personally, I enjoy a good dose of fantasy and thriller. I used to go insane with "angst", but my preference had changed for the sake of my mental health, lol. I still enjoy "angst" (there is a reason to why I am still writing them at times), but I've become extremely picky with what I read and what I enjoy. Fantasy always had a special place in my heart since my childhood. Books such as "Harry Potter", "Mistborn", "Eragon", and "The Last Dragon Chronicles" kept me driving my imagination to great places. It's quite a joy to run away from reality. Literally. It has a rather tranquilizing effect. As for thrillers, I blame myself for watching films and shows within the same genre. :-)

I enjoy reading romance (lol) and suspense. I am also into psychological thriller.
In general, I read all kinds of genre though most of the books I read recently are romance because I need some inspirations for my forever-WIP fic drafts lol.

I'm more slice of life and romance although the romance can vary in many different areas and more of tug of war type where the psychological aspect holds more than anything else.

Slice of Life is just fun to read into especially the characters

I basically love and read all kinds of genres. But if I should narrow them down, they would be thriller, mystery, crime, fantasy, adventures, sci-fi, a bit romance, and all of them with psychological touches and plot-twists that messes with my head.

I think FoF's Basket Case are pretty long at 26 (or 27?) chapters and nearly 300k words according to my archive iirc. And it is still unfinished lol.

Outcast and the Exiled has about 30-something chapters at the moment and it is also ongoing fic.

Can't remember about the finished ones though.

I've read pink vitriol and portraits and they're both really good.

FOF has written a very super fanfic. [AKB48 x Mendol] The Price of Fame. 21 chapters + extra. Fully finished. I read in one breath. An explosion of emotions! I advise.

stv_wong "(MASK-MJGK world) TomoTomo + others" has 30 chapters. Unfortunately fanfic frozen. But interesting.

Melon-Lover's "How Long Does Forever Last?" It has 19 chapters. Ongoing. Really interesting fanfic.

BbSis "It started in a wedding. (MariMii + Everyone)". 12 chapters, but very large. Ongoing ... I hope. Very interesting fanfic.
