So I watched Davichi's latest MV last night, and I did a search, and to my insane disbelief  :O there wasn't a Davichi thread. Couldn't believe it, so as Daigong always says, if there isn't a thread for it, make it!

Davichi is a two-female duet group that debuted last year in 2008 and initially didn't make much waves, but they were noted for their spectacular voices even though they had very young looking faces. However, after their repackaged album with a new upbeat single, Love and War, featuring HaHa, they quickly rose to become an A-list artist in South Korea. They have since become one of the most popular artists and have been very successful with their 2nd mini album, Davichi in Wonderland, spawning a long lasting #1 hit in their song 8282, or Ppali Ppali (Hurry Hurry in Korean), closely followed by 사고쳤어요 (Sago Chyeosseo Yo, or I Made An Accident) which were both being promoted simutaneously. Both songs were constantly in the top 3 on various music shows, as well as the MNet Top 300.

The group is compromised of Lee HaeRi and Kang MinKyung.

There was the one time too when I wound up inadvertently singing this song on Bombastic Radio once ... I do NOT have a recording, lol.

Actually from the sound of it, it looks like for the most part, it's the video editors faults for making it look so bad. If you listen to most of their English, it's mostly correct, except for maybe one part. So much MinKyung hotness though, so I love it  :lol:

I remember why I love that Love and War MV so much. BIKINIS!!! XD (and HaHa...  :P)

I remember when I worked with AKP I covered them a few times before they came out... They were so pretty... I wonder if it was photoshop, lighting, being Selca Goddess, but I remember they were so much prettier. Plastic Surgery?

Oh well, either way, they are freaking awesome. Now that FTTS has separated, they can possibly be the next best duo.

This is one of my favourite groups and I can't really choose between the members, or the albums, the first album is awsome, with all the ballads, but the mini album is also really awsome *_*  :heart:

I'm looking forward to their second full length this summer : D

The value of subs are great, but sometimes they can distract from the original shot composition and director's intent.  Like, the bugs that the tv stations put to tag their names on stuff? That annoys the shit out of me sometimes.  MTV is the worst, the crap they put on the screen is so distracting.  I like the way the Korean stations do it tho, its at least consistent.

I love DaVichi!  There.  Now this post is relevant to the thread, lolz.

Didn't Davichi participate in another single where three different people sang the same song (different versions)? I like this song better than that last project. Sounds great :D

I love how refreshing Davichi's songs are. 8282 & Time, Please Stop are musical masterpieces imo. I am completely in awe of them whenever I listen with the levels in the song and the amount of light & shade. Utter brilliance!

Perhaps it's just me, but it feels like Minkyung's voice has gotten stronger lately. All that time on Immortal Song 2 seems to have had a great effect.

Now that Davichi is leaving the arms of Kim Kwang Soo, the industry is looking curiously as to what direction they’ll take.

This is not to be confused with Gang Kiz being transferred from Core Contents Media to their subsidiary, GM Contents. Davichi and their two managers have completely left Core Contents Media to stand on their own. Fans should expect detailed information coming from the company soon.

One official of Core Contents Media stated, “Although Davichi is leaving the company, we hope that they will maintain friendly competition with us and continue to grow as great artists.”

On rumors of the duo leaving the company due to the controversy surrounding T-ara, the official stated, “It is not true.”

Good for Davichi because CCM sucks :). I felt like they haven't been doing anything for awhile except for a couple OST tracks so hopefully now they'll be coming out with new stuff soon.

I feel bad for T-ara though...I think they're the only ones left directly under CCM so I guess they'll never be getting a break now >_<
