Allow me to share with you the most emotional and sentimental handshake experience I will ever have.There's reason why I shed tears for our captain.

While standing outside of the AKB shop, I kept practicing the words that I want to say to Takamina. Before that I asked my friend how I say rest well on your way to Jakarta and how to say hope to see you again. It was totally nerve-wrecking because I screwed up the first handshake after café session by rapping my words to Takamina.
So finally I gave my handshake ticket to the staff and I am next to go after my friend. Then I realized the change in atmosphere of the surrounding. I was standing at the entrance of the shop. It was a totally different emotion being felt outside and inside of the shop. Outside I can still joke and laugh with my friends, spazz about talking to Takamina later. However once I stood at the entrance, it was only filled with this air of seriousness, a really tense feeling to it.
While waiting for my turn, there was 2 cameraman in the shop. Singapore camera was on my left while the Japan camera was on my right. Both were taking picture of the tapes on my face which reads [Takamina]-right and [Daisuki]-left.But I didn’t even bother looking at the 2 cameras, I couldn’t put on a smile like how I will usually do when the camera is on me. That was how tense the atmosphere was.
Then it was my turn for the handshake. It requires a few steps to reach Takamina so I didn’t raise my hands yet but Taka was already waiting for me to approach her and she had already raised her hands while standing there. The conversation….I spoke really slowly, probably to the extent that I sounded unwell or restless but I was actually carrying a really heavy heart throughout the handshake with her.
Me : みなみ….ゆっくり休んでください *Taka was listening so attentively*
Taka : はい、ありがとう *bows slowly*
Me :そして、Aku Cinta Kamu
Taka : *eyes widen a little at the alien words and moved closer* hmm?
Me : これはインドネシア言語です
*points to my tapes* たかみな、大好き
Taka : ありがとう *smiles so brightly*
Me : Bye bye Minami *waves with my left hand, right hand still holding Taka hand*
Taka : Bye bye *Taka suddenly raised her hand, connected her palm with mine and interlocked her fingers with mine*
Taka : また会いましょう
Me : またねえ
I waved to Taka as I quickly walked out of the shop looking really like a dejected soldier. This handshake really breaks my heart at the same time touches me. I was supposed to be the one saying “また会いましょう” to Takamina but she’s the one who said it to me first. It makes me feel like she really wants to come back to Singapore again to meet her fans. Well I have a feeling that Taka remembers the group of us who welcomed her at the airport, executed MINAMI-VIRUS #2 and my [I <3 *inserts Taka face by Kojiharu*] board. So in a way, Taka saying that to me felt really personal. Of course I know, many of you are saying that I am just all delusional about that. Well, it is a matter of personal experience after all.
You’re probably wondering why I say this handshake with Takamina breaks my heart. To understand this, you will have to know the first thing I said to her when she landed in Singapore.
“ ゆっくり休んですか？“
I was already worried about Taka’s health due to her recent busy schedule. Taka looked extremely tired after landing in Singapore. Before flying over to Singapore, she had HEY!HEY!HEY! recording which ended at around 8pm the day before, which meant that immediately after the recording, she had to rush to Tokyo, Haneda airport for her flight.
Then the first thing I said to Taka during the handshake was once again telling her to have a good rest. She replied me with that soft, calm but kind of hectic voice. She was obviously tired but she tried her best to show everyone her smile and that she is all fine when she is not at all. It reminded me of Mariko-sama letter to Takamina during her birthday. This got me really emotional and I eventually released my tears when I stepped outside of the shop. I didn’t want Taka to see me crying because I know that will affect her too. Thanks to my friend who lent me her shoulder and my dear friends who went to console me. That was definitely the most memorable experience I will ever have with Takamina.
