OMG RANDOM YUUCHAN APPRECIATION.
I love Yuko's voice. It's so soft and wonderful. I haven't listened to her a lot recently, but whenever I randomly hear a song of hers (or her voice in general), I'm reminded how awesome her voice is. Yeah. :lol:
I think my favourite Yuuchan songs are Tokyo Bijin and Futarigurashi... And I also really love Folk Songs 3 with her, Maki and Miki.
That and she is gorgeous and funny and great. HEEE~

Most underrated H!P concert is FOLK DAYS with Ichii Sayaka. It laid out a welcome return for Kaasan and gave two former Musume what they'd been missing since the previous millenium: A LIVE BAND!
Taise might be a froot loop but he sure fronted a helluva band and produced a great concert. Yuko's unplugged rendition of "Futarigurashi" might be the best live performance I've ever experienced of ANY H!P-related artist.

Yuuchan's going to be on Haropro Yanen tomorrow!!! Yay!!! But just this one show, and then after that °C-ute's taking over for two weeks.
I really love that show, but I hardly listen to it, except if the host is one of my favorites. The last I actually bothered to download was Kei's in February I think ... so it's good to see Yuuchan back ^_^

Well she's old for an idol. Yuko might actually be the oldest active female idol right now. It's pretty messed up that idols who are over 25 are considered old in Japan. Anyway Yuko's still hot as hell :oops:

So, something has been bugging me lately and I thought I'd ask for your opinions.
Yuko's last single, DO MY BEST, doesn't seem to be ranking high in most people's books. Why is that?
In on my part really love the song, it's probably one of my favorite of her songs simply because it's so happy and slightly 60ish.

I think its one of her better Songs, too. Her singing sounds so Happy and cheerfull and so is the Song overall. I really like her Voice in this one.

Do My Best ranks dead last among her songs in my book for one. I've never thought about why exactly it is offensive to my sense of aesthetics, but let's see if I can't put my finger on it.
First of all, the melody is much too repetitive. It goes on but goes nowhere. Second, I don't feel it works with the lyrics. While the very positiveness of the song that you like already works against my opinion thereof, I believe the aesthetic could work with a more subdued, or even just a better structured melody. As it is, the whole thing is too overpowering, hitting you over the head with how wonderful life is and not stopping. And I mean that in a bad way.
Ultimately, I suppose I find it lacking in the maturity I prefer from songs in general and Nakazawa's in particular.
Or the short version: I don't like the music or the lyrics.
I hope I was able to shed some light on my perception of the song at least.

I LOVED Yuko's Pittari Shitai X'mas. She should cover more Pucchi Moni songs <3. No, seriously. She's just THAT awesome. Yuko needs more concerts. This concert also wins because she performed Shinki Itten, my fave Yuko song <3. Needs moar Futarigurashi, however.

EDIT: I just compared them and the one reyfer uploaded is the night concert. Dunno which is the best rip, they both sound about the same.
EDIT2: Track 10 is three songs (part of the medley started with Tokyo Boogie Woogie), I only know the middle one though though, it's Furimukanaide (c/w track of W's Koi no Fuga, originally by The Peanuts). I guess you need to edit the tracklist and for the medley put something like

I do recognize number 10, if purely by chance. The title is Coffee Rumba (コーヒー・ルンバ in the original). Wikipedia lists it as having been recorded by the Peanuts and Sachiko Nishida, evidently at the same time (about 1960) but with different lyrics. Having heard neither recording (just a cover), I can't say which version this is.
Edit: I appear to have been hasty, there. The last song is Coffee Rumba.
Edit again: Found the remaining one. Ginza Can-Can Musume (銀座カンカン娘), sung by Hideko Takamine in the 1950s.

I have the Sachiko Nishida version of Coffee Rumba (which is freakin' awesome, btw), I'll compare it with the one Yuko did and then tell you if it's this or the The Peanuts version ^^
EDIT : So, I checked and I'm not quite sure but it appears Yuko sings the Sachiko version. I also searched for the lyrics of the The Peanuts version and they don't match at all.

i watched Nakazawa Yuko's Graduation Ceremony a while ago which took place sometime in 2004. im trying to find the song that is being played in the background for like the first 3 mins of the clip. if anyone has seen the clip, by any chance would you know the song, if so please enlighten me.

Yuko is a rockstar. Just around barefoot on stage, Live bands, screams fans at the airport(though she looked shocked like it never happend before lol) she is getting the attention she deserves for being the queen of HP. & I too like the b side better but that's nothing new.

And here's a small, kind of rough translation/summary of what goes on there, courtesy of matadesuyo8 at H!O:
I'll give you a quick translation of what she said. (The audio is of poor quality so it's hard to pick up on some of what she said). There's alot of Q & A where she reads off questions from her fans and does her best to answer them.
1. She's immediately surprised that the Taiwan fans seem to understand her Japanese even before there was any interpreting.
2. There's alot of cheering from her fans when she mentioned how she's looking forward to drinking some Taiwanese beer :D
3. Question from a fan: What was your most memorable experience being in Morning Musume?
Answer: No simple answer. The initial debut as a Momusu, meeting interesting ppl, graduation, etc.
4. Q: What was your favorite Momusu song?
A: Renai Revolution 21, but I have alot of favorites. Like "sexy fuwa fuwa". (I guess it's a reference to 'Sexy Boy"). I'll go to karaoke with my friends and sing these. 'Chimata de uwasa no sexy fuwa fuwa".
5. Q: What Taiwanese cuisine or fruits are you looking forward to eating?
A: Tapioca pudding. I ate some Taiwanese cusiine before I left Japan so that I can compare the difference, to see what authentic Taiwanese cuisine will be
like. I like ramen. Shoronpou (chinese dumplings). (The audience & the MC (host) asked her about bananas. "NO WAY!! No banana! Scared of bananas!" XD
Q: What about mango? A: I love it!
6. Q: What are thoughts about your new single (Danna-sama) and what did to you want to express/communicate thru it?
A: What perfect timing. Well you know I'm married in this song. (Lot's of cheering from the fans and I couldn't pick up what she was saying due to poor audio quality and all the noise from the cheering. Then the MC (host) taught her how to say "husband" in taiwanese.
7. Q: What was your honest feelings when they (tsunku) named your group "Morning Musume" when you first debuted 10 years ago?
A: Honestly? I thought it was a practical joke by Tsunku at first. It was a bit embarassing at first, but I came to love the name. I'm guessing everyone snickered at the name at first.
8. Q: What sort of acting roles do you look forward to playing in your next [or future] stage plays?
A: While she tried to think of something, the crowd all screamed 'Yankii!" in unison :w00t:. Yuko then said, "OK, Yankii, then!" Then the crowd wanted her to say "Gazen tsuyome" which she used to say in MaidoAri as a yankii. I guess Yuko's famous for her yankii character everywhere even in Taiwan :D
9. Q: What are your future hopes for HP & Momusu?
A: Just like alot of fans love and support HP & Momusu, I plan to do the same. Always looking after them, caring for their health & happiness...Geez, I'm beginning to sound like their aunt (ha, ha).
10. Q: What made you audition 10 years ago?
A: I justed had a burning desire to become an artist/singer.
At the end, the MC (host) says Yuko should enjoy all the Taiwan beer she wants. laugh.gif She receives some sort of gift(?) or something from the MC at the end of the event (poor sound & and no visuals to confrim what this gift was), but it was called "Taiwan no Kaze' which is a play on her single, "Shanghai no Kaze'.
So that's a rough brief translation.

The official H!P site lets us know that the 6/19 "YUKO NAKAZAWA BIRTHDAY LIVE 2008 Zepp Tokyo" will be released on DVD later this year, in October. (The release channel (FC/web-only/regular shops) has not yet been announced.)
But that's not all. To celebrate 10 years solo activity of Nakazawa Yuko, short congratulatory messages of fans who pre-order the DVD will be recorded at the concert. Yuko is to appear in a special episode of the jdorama "Tokumei Kakarichou Tadano Hitoshi".
Tokyograph reports:TV Asahi's popular drama series "Tokumei Kakarichou Tadano Hitoshi" is returning for a fourth season this winter. However, it will be moving from its late-night time slot to the "golden time" slot of 9:00pm, which means that the show will have to cut back on its nudity and bed scenes.
The show, which stars Katsunori Takahashi, started in 2003 and has had a new series every other year. It has also had four special episodes and a movie adaptation that opened earlier this month.
The new series will air on Thursday nights, starting on January 8. Before that, on January 3, TV Asahi will air a special episode, featuring Ayako Nishikawa (who appeared in the movie), Tomiyuki Kunihiro, and former Morning Musume member Yuko Nakazawa.

Yay, Yuko's week! She's my third favorite H!P member (including graduates), but I don't think I've ever posted here... I don't seem to post in member threads much.
I love Yuko. She's so kind and caring and really funny, too. Even though I like her a whole lot, I don't listen to her music that much, to be honest. :ph43r: She has some songs that I really like, though (like Urara and Danna-sama :heart:). And her voice is sooo pretty. :wub:

The first time I saw Yuko was in the 2004 W grad concert. She had some MC stuff before singing. I was looking forward to her songs after seeing her badass persona, but I was so disappointed...
Then I saw her in the first 4th gen concert. And she scared me with her hair and contacts XD
Now I loves me some Nakazawa. She's one of the few members whose official photos I always keep when I get them.

I don't know if I've said this here before, probably yes, but Yuuchan was actually my first favourite H!P member (well, if Aibon doesn't count - Aibon's cuteness grabbed my attention first, but I wouldn't say she ever became a favourite member). I was a n00b watching Hello Morning and there was this FOXY lady doing the news section. And of course, that was Yuuchan. :lol: Her talking voice can be so sexy. Anyway, that's where I fell for Yuuchan. I love her singing voice still, and I like Tokyo Bijin, Futarigurashi and Kuyashinamida porori. Most of her songs aren't really my thing, though.
Anyway, Yuuchan didn't remain my fav member, but I've got some fun memories, LOL. And she's quite awesome.

My Yuko story: When I officially began my journey into the world of Morning Musume I started with the group's humble beginnings, and out of the original members it was Yuko who stood out easily for me from the get-go. Her age and comparatively developed looks clearly set her apart from the rest of the group, and watching her attitude come through on Utaban and other TV appearances furthered this notion (gotta love the contrast between her, Rika and Ai on HPN). And that voice, holy crap that voice...whether casual talking or singing her heart out she has that soothing, sexy vibe that's always fun to hear. Even more amazing is when I worked my way towards the latter part of H!P's history, seeing her in her mid-30s and still looking hot as ever. I'll admit I haven't explored her solo music much (enka's kinda hard for me to get into), but a few of her songs and performances still have caught my attention.

My Yuko story: One of my all time fave MM. Her bold, fierceness, surrounded by wild crazy girls and kiddies. THE BAWS of Hello! Project is hard to keep everyone satisfied, on your shoulders yet Yuko did it with her own flair, and usually a mug of beer. I loved her sexiness no doubt, the blonde and blue eyes. Her solo works were also beautiful. And to top that off, that Hello Morning News skit with Rika. The love-hate relationship they had was so hilarious, so touching. I found that if I change the file extension to flv I can play it in flv player, so I used flv encoder to re-encode it to avi then deleted the original... so I can't try that setting in MPC. Thanks for the info though, I'll try it if it happens again.

「いい刺激になります」－。３８歳の誕生日にあたる１９日に東京・江東区のＺｅｐｐ Ｔｏｋｙｏでバースデー・ライブを開く中澤裕子が、ＡＫＢ４８の活躍を意識しての言葉を口にした。現在、「モーニング娘。」ＯＧにより「ドリームモーニング娘。」としても活動中だが、ライブではソロ歌手のパワーを全開させるという。
今春始動した“ドリ娘”。「モー娘。を卒業して１０年、ソロになって１０年の節目ですからうれしいですね」と語りつつ、「３８歳という新しいスタートをライブでファンの方たちと迎えられるのは、私にとっては大きな意味があるんです」とソロ活動にも意欲を見せる。
ドリ娘。には中澤をはじめ飯田圭織（２９）、安倍なつみ（２９）、保田圭（３０）、矢口真里（２８）、石川梨華（２６）、藤本美貴（２５）、吉澤ひとみ（２６）、小川真琴（２３）、久住小春（１８）の１０人が勢ぞろい。平均年齢２７歳だが、オジサン世代にはホッとする顔ぶれだ。
「基本的にはリーダーは置かず、個々が責任をもって活動していくようにしています。まあ、私もだいぶ丸くなったし（笑）。とにかくメンバーの考えとか思いなんかを感じ取れるようになりましたね」
アイドルユニットといえば、今やＡＫＢ４８が全盛。第３回選抜総選挙も大いに盛り上がったが、中澤はどう見る？
「個人的には彼女たちの曲も聴きますし、かわいい子たちだなって思いますよ。彼女たちの活躍はいい刺激になります。それに私たちもやる以上は、負けられないですよね」
目の奥がキラリと光る。ドリ娘。は、全国で１６回のコンサートを行ったが、誕生日のライブは中澤ひとりだ。
「年齢については、あまりネガティブに考えていないんです。等身大の中澤裕子をファンに見てほしい。オリジナル曲を中心にした構成で、とにかく１００％自分が楽しめるライブをしたい。そんな私をファンの方たちが見て楽しんでいただければ」

Former Morning Musume member Nakazawa Yuko dating businessman
Dream Morning Musume member and former Morning Musume member Nakazawa Yuko (38) is currently dating a businessman of the same age, reports this week’s FRIDAY.
The magazine says the man works in an IT-related business and resembles actor Uchino Masaaki (43). He and Nakazawa were recently introduced to each other by a friend and they began dating in August.
The two spent a night together at Nakazawa’s apartment after a dinner date at a Roppongi sushi restaurant. FRIDAY also published photos of the couple embracing on the street in front of the apartment.
Nakazawa’s management office declined to comment on her private life.
Nakazawa was previously in a long relationship with V6 leader Sakamoto Masayuki (40), but they broke up in August 2010.

I'm a bit surprised it didn't work out with the V6 guy. I guess one of them wasn't Ready? Or perhaps someone felt Guilty...though that's probably unlikely since there isn't a Generation Gap to affect either one's Way of Life. Well, I think a key to happiness is to Be Yourself! So if they couldn't do that around each other I guess it needed to be Over. There will still be plenty of chances for either of them find someone with whom they can Change the World. 8)

On July 8th, Nakazawa Yuko made a guest appearance at Morning Musume’s release event for their latest single, “One・Two・Three / The Mantenrou Show“.
Wearing a long white dress that hid her pregnant stomach, Nakazawa smiled as the crowd called out, “Yuko!” and “Congratulations!” When asked if her baby (if a girl) would be joining Morning Musume in the future, she answered, “I’ve never thought about it, but if they will be long-lasting, it’s possible.”
Nakazawa expressed, “Lately, I feel the baby moving inside of me. I’m a little uneasy since I will be giving birth at an old age, but I’ve been talking about it with other moms who were in the same situation.“ She also shared, ”Recently, I saw Mikitty’s [Fujimoto Miki] baby at the office. It seemed difficult. When I saw her breast-feeding, I thought that’s how I’m going to be. I’m reassured to have a senpai mama.”
“One・Two・Three / The Mantenrou Show” is Morning Musume’s 50th single, and it celebrates the 15th anniversary of their debut. Nakazawa reflected, “I was reckless. 15 years ago, some members that weren’t even born yet!” She continued by telling the members, “In the past, I hated being called mom, but now, I’m almost a mom. Everyone is like a daughter to me, so I am supporting you.”
Nakazawa encouraged the newest leader Michishige Sayumi, saying, “Shige-chan, I think it’s really difficult, but please overcome this pressure. It will be okay! I am cheering you on!” In response, Michishige broke out into tears and hugged Nakazawa.
When asked about being a leader, Nakazawa advised, “I think there were all kinds of leaders, but you don’t have to copy somebody to be a good leader. Hold onto your heart, and do your best with Reina. Don’t cry!” Then she said to the fans, “Also, everyone’s power. Things really change with everyone’s support, so please take care of them!”

Kago-chan gave birth to her baby.

Nakazawa Yuko is pregnant with her 2nd child
December 7, 2014
On December 7, talento Nakazawa Yuko (41) updated her official blog and announced that she is pregnant with her 2nd child.
Nakazawa reported the happy news in a blog entry titled "An announcement to everyone." She expressed, "My husband and I are happy that a younger brother or sister will be born to our daughter, who is growing quickly and energetically.
Nakazawa revealed, "I've entered my 5th month and my stomach is starting to show," and continued, "While thinking about the time when I was pregnant with my daughter, I'm spending my 2nd maternity life quietly and healthily."
Nakazawa married a non-celebrity man in April of 2012. They welcomed their daughter in November of the same year.

Nakazawa Yuko gives birth to her 2nd child
May 8, 2015
On May 7, Nakazawa Yuko announced through her official blog that she has given birth to her second child, a baby boy.
She happily commented, "The moment I heard my son's first cry, my eyes overflowed with tears just like when my daughter was born. Right now, I can say that I'm really relieved. I want to thank my son for being born healthy." She also thanked her family, fans, and the hospital staff for supporting her throughout her pregnancy.
Nakazawa, who is currently 41-years-old, married a non-celebrity man in April of 2012 then gave birth to their first child, a daughter, in November of the same year.
Congratulations!

Just finished rewatching “Gokusen” Season 1 (2002) and a shout out to two actresses that had parts in the series.
The series lead was Yukie Nakama as a teacher who grew up in a Yakuza family, who ends up
in her first job being in charge of some very non-model students. Jun Matsumoto had the second lead as one of
those students
