i'm pretty sure dirk will get the mvp award, its based on what you do in the regular season. thats why they have a seperate mvp award for the playoffs right? and yeah, it will be a little weird to see him accept the trophy while him and his team is out of the playoffs

MVP is supposed to be for statistics of regular season. But I think the votes of sportswriters are not in yet until later the playoffs

MVP gets awarded in the second round of the playoffs so there's a chance the first round performances of the players may influence it.

anything that happens in the playoffs does not affect the MVP for the season as
the votes are all in before the playoff starts.

Spurs have done it, win their 1st round series 4-1, deja vu against the Nuggets from 2 years ago.
Now they wait and see who their 2nd round opponent will be.

If the warriors had kept their composure and hadn't put up so many 3's near the end of the game, they would've won. I don't see the series returning to Dallas. Warriors in 6.

Yeah 0-8 with 5 3pt attempts, yeah that was a lil too much 3pt attempts. Kinda pissed they actually got shutout like that after such a great game, I'm hoping they can take it back at home but what Nowitzki did eerily reminded me of what Wade did last year in game 3 of the finals. The heat were down just like the mavs and then their all-star brings em back to win and that swung all the momentum back to the team that was down, I hope that doesn't happen here.

They can do it, and if the Warriors have a good lead in the last 3 minutes, they should not start jacking up shots, but instead use better time management, run the clock down and not give the Mavs any help with ill advised 3's that lead to long rebounds and potential fast-breaks for the Mavs.

Come on, Warriors, close it out and complete the upset tonight.

Exactly, they need to manage their time which they are just about to do. As of this writing it's 5 minutes left, Jason Richardson just scored 5 points within damn 15 seconds to push the lead to 24, sorry but there's no way Mavs are coming back...........

Congratulations Warriors on advancing to the second round!!!!

They were just the perfect matchup against the Mavs just like the Bulls were for the Heat. Let's hope my Rockets take it when they get back to Houston.
