Billie Idle's second CD will be out in a couple of weeks (only 5 months after the first one!!!)

I didn't like their first video much but after listening to this one 3-4 times I must say I absolutely love it.

You must! They're so unpredictable!

Didn't go to the event for their new release since it was Ano's birthday so all the handshake tickets (that came with the CD) were "sold out". Plus, all the times I had a chance to meet her at previous events, she was off in outer space (which a lot of fans apparently like).

Making of their latest video.

Clips from Younapi's birthday live at Sanrio Puroland. Still annoyed at myself for not going.

Shojo Kakka no International

Some of the music reminds me of Bellring since there are some horror influences, like how they're rapping over the theme song of Gremlins. Then again, the 2nd song is like Spanish flamenco and the 3rd one is noisy punk.

The leader of the group Satosaki Risa also released some solo music that she wrote herself. According to Wikipedia, she also is the president of the company that manages/produces Shojo Kakka no International.

Are there yet any idol groups that make music resembling the Sixties area? And no, not Vanilla Beans ;)
What genres are still missing? Jazz. Soul. What else?

Zekkyou Suru 60-do (絶叫する60度).

They literally refer to themselves in English as "Screaming Sixties".

And, because, it's you, a t-shirt of theirs which refers to this:

Yeah they are... Kai speaks really great English, and Montero, well, Montero is just a crazy sadist, who likes to wreck havoc in the crowd during other groups performances...

I have officially chosen the dark side, I was close to become a fan of normal J-POP but I gravitate towards the weird, I think the first concert in Japan had an influence on it....

The best way to be...

Speaking of weird, surprisingly Zekkyou Suru 6-do have released an MV... to "Dai sanji bocchi sensou"

But I think this live is the best to watch:

They do some punk covers of Ghibli songs and stuff also in that, with a live band

The MV song is great. Reminds me slightly of The Sonics. But it is not really the Sixties sound that I had in mind when asking.
Will watch the live now. Backing band is always great, though I don't know Ghibli.

That be Kai.

Anyway, just came across this group, and want to mention them, but not for their quality, whatever that may be, but just for their name...

You've previously heard of idol groups called "The Spunky" and "kebab"...

and now we have...

"do Me Baby"

Saw them once. :D Even put them down in my blog. I liked their performance, despite the name. I actually don't care anymore as I lost all faith in Japanese idol agencies naming their groups since such inventions like Ciao Bella Cinquetti.

On the topic of the group formerly known as The Possible, they have a song titled "Do Me Do" which is pretty decent.

And now their new name makes no sense either since Akkyan "ninja graduated" right after TIF.

Kamiyado at @JAM EXPO

Their sneakers are pretty cool. Maybe as cool as the ones Yamaguchi Kassei Gakuen wear?

The 11 year old leader of the band is gravure idol, apparently.

Sometimes I wish the Japanese wouldn't use English words.
