if you're lucky the official japanese version can have english subtitles. most japanese versions of movies have had that latly.

You don't have to wait for someone to sub the DVD tannl coz it's going up on the big screens in Singapore come 19 October 2006~!!! ^o^

ive wanted to check out deathnote for a while now but i have so many other things on my computer that i havnt watched yet so im delaying it. maybe if i hear more good things about it it might push me to go grab it

I love the death note manga. <3 I was so excited when I heard that the anime was coming out. I wasn't crazy about the animation at first but now it doesn't bother me that much. I'm happy that the anime is following the manga. =)

But Fujiwara doesn't seem too happy with the talk about a Hollywood version of the series, saying he'd rather see the original appear on screens worldwide, conceding only "If they have to do a remake, they could at least do it with the same cast." Fans in Japan and Hong Kong can look forward to the opening on November 3, with screenings also set for several other Asian countries.
