This is brilliant! WOw intense Atsumina right from the start, but... I believe Acchan/Tenshi is right, Takamina doesn't really seem fitting for this job,
they should just leave her in the kitchen/bar or whatever helping with serving drinks and staring at Acchan while on the job etc. KEKE
For Mayuyu, I wonder why she need the job, I guess the way she replied there is some issues with her parents, maybe they disowned her or is
dead? Just a random thought. LOL Kuro-chan/Yuki what kinda name is Nezumi? for a hostess it does seem a bit weird but I guess it is
fitting for Mayu at some extend.

So our Acchan feels as though Takamina isn't cut out for this type of work..... interesting way to prove her point.... seems as though perhaps there was more to it than that though... hmm perhpas she does have a point though, about Takamina not quite being cut out for what they do, still should make things fun though....

I almost missed it, until it appeared at the top again keke, this is so good and addictive, I want to know what happens next.
Seems like Mayu and Takamina got the job and will be appearing there more often working with Yuko too. Oshiri sister!!! YAY!
Mayu is so smart she can take all the things the slave driver, Yuki, hand her and it seems like Yuki is already having a soft spot
for their underage co-worker. I wonder if anyone will find out and will they get in trouble because Mayu is working underage....

As for the atsumina pair, wow I'm surprised that it was acchan's first kiss given that she works as a hostess, and surprise that
she saved it all along until Takamina comes along, I guess that big pink ribbon is really hard to resist keke. I wonder what kinda
work will Takamina be doing and how Acchan can help train her.... I assume Acchan probably won't want to share her girl.
Ahhh so Takamina worked with Miichan before at a cafe, I wonder if Haruna works there too (no3bs!)
Please continue to update, I really want to read more. This story is very interesting, its different and keeps me at the edge
waiting to see what is going to happen. The little bit of details you throw in here and there, helps give us some background
information but doesn't take away from the main plot at the same time. Not a single boring moment while I read this.

I sense sexual tension the moment Mayu entered the makeup room! Yukirin, you just want to have the little cyborg close to you all day and night when you suggested that she stayed at the nightclub, don't you? And you are secretly worried about Mayuyu travelling to and fro the club alone in the Outer City :lol: (I'm getting Burst Angel vibes with the idea of an Outer City.) And, and were you undressing the young one with your eyes? :rofl: Seriously, sexual tension is always at an all time high with these two. Next stage: Eyesex! :twisted:
Takaman doing manual work is so fitting XD I'm sorry but I just can't imagine her being a hostess. Just... too... manly :rofl: :rofl: Meetan's nicknames for our champion midget are simply awesome. "Fun-sized" in particular strikes a chord with me as that was what one of my friends used to describe herself :thumbup As for Yuko, man, that girl is pure win as expected with her crazy nonsense! That boy-in-the-girls'-room joke was so Oshima-style humour :rofl: Poor Takaman though... always the butt of all jokes. Then we get more OMG-they-didn't nicknames courtesy of Yuko. Seriously, UST-kun is genius! Unlimited possibilities and combinations! :twothumbs

I burst a vein when I read that. HAHAHAHA! Takaman is cute when she is her usual dorky self but girly cute is just NO :rofl: :rofl: or sexy lady... pfft... next please! At least they finally settled for a more suitable fierce badass look for the resident girl-man. Just yeah, no roar. Pfft... *laughs like Yuko*
On a more serious note, I like the stark contrast in personalities between the two newbies Takamina and Mayuyu. Though both joined at the same time, it's obvious that the paths they are going to take are going to be very different. Takamina is easy to read and transparent like a glass panel yet Mayuyu seems a lot more contemplative and secretive. Add Mayuyu to Yukirin and we've got a whole bag of head-scratching question marks. And look, it's already begun with the death of Kitagawa Kenji. Who is he? (I haven't been following NMB48's releases recently so I got to personally look up the English translation of the song to search for any clues to his identity.) Could he be Yukirin's old flame or customer? Is she involved in his "accidental" death? And why does Mayuyu seem concerned with the news regarding his passing? Does she know him too? Gosh, I'm so intrigued with the set-up you have provided and am dying to see more bits of info being revealed.
As usual, great writing (love the detailed descriptions that hint at the characters' thoughts and feelings) and witty dialogues from you. I can't ask for more except for the next update :lol: And it's been a pleasure to live through doom's day with you and the lovely ladies at Yoru no Chouchou :heart: :deco:

I love how Yuko both in this story and in River is so fun to read. A fun character just like irl.

You kickstart the chapter with yet another hilarious scene involving our fail queen, Tenshi-chan and the ever cracktastic squirrel - a style of humour that is so undeniably Divine Vengeance. There's never a dull moment as you've lined up their bantering and reactions so seamlessly one after another. Nothing seems forced or scripted; everything just flows so naturally that I can imagine the scene happening in real life. This is because the characters always react to one another's actions which is one thing I love about your writing. Even when the group lapses into moments of silence, there is something indicating someone's reactions such as Acchan's contemplative stare (Takaman is certainly working on her XD).
“… Really?” Acchan asked as she turned around with raised eyebrows.
“… Really?” Yuko repeated in a tone that dripped with sarcasm and disbelief.
I love this part. Both characters say the same words but their expressions and tones that I envision in my head are vastly different. This makes an impactful comedic moment despite not being a boisteriously hilarious scene. It's always the timing of the punchline that seals the deal and you've got it down pat! Boy, only Takamina can be so dense not to realise sooner that she had done worse things (acting cute was a big NO :rofl:).
Next comes my dearest OTP. We (and Mayuyu) are catching glimpses of Yukirin's famed reactions :lol: How I would love to be in Mayuyu's shoes to be in the presence of that intimidating and mysterious woman who obviously hides a soft side. And look, she's still harbouring the thought of having her little prey Mayuyu stay at the nightclub! My OTP feels :inlove: I adore how they are slowly getting closer and Yukirin is turning out to be a figure Mayuyu could depend on despite the secrets that both are probably hiding. It's like walking on a needle bed. All that sexual tension is making my inner fangirl squeal and clamour for more :heart:
Before I forget, oh goodness, Mayuyu's mother is really well... rude. LOL. I was expecting an overprotective and naggy mother hen type of character but man, you totally threw that notion out the window at the start of the phone conversation. Like Mayuyu, I was snickering away at the image of Yukirin acting all pleasant and stuff :rofl: There go a few bricks off the cool image wall Yukirin had built around herself. Then again, she has already ruined it with her exaggerated expressions earlier. I am seriously looking forward to more MaYuki interactions not just because they are my OTP but also because they bear the bulk of the mysteries in this story (so far). There's still Kitagawa Kenji's death that we have yet to get more details of.
Well, that was before you drop the issue of gangs and suddenly, Yoru no Chouchou seems a heck shadier than before. Maybe I'm overthinking things and reading too much into Acchan's reaction to Takamina's question. Perhaps she was just taken aback by Takamina's sudden demand, hence the delay in reaction. Anyhow, I'm still stoked to see how things will pan out. On a lighter note, Chibi-kun is such a straight person (I'm not referring to her sexual orientation, of course :P) that she's lucky there's Tenshi to stop her before she offends anyone.
Ooh, Twin Towers appearance! Nice to see them giving advice and support to the newbie :twothumbs Mayuyu has also learnt a thing or two about handling difficult patrons, thus sinking a tad deeper into the workings of a nightclub. And hmm... Kojima Riku. From your track record, you tend not to do genderbend (unless my memory is failing me :nervous) so I'm guessing that's Haruna disguised as a man. What's s/he doing at Yoru no Chouchou? Will we finally get to see Yuko dealing with something serious with Kojima's appearance? So many new questions :panic: I hope the next update happens before the end of 2013. Let me set that as a deadline for you.

I'm sorry to hear that RIVER (and Yuko's potty mouth :sweatdrop:) wasn't exactly your cup of tea. Though others might have found it funny, I can see why you'd feel otherwise, so my apologies. Different strokes for different folks, so I'm glad the other Irrelevant Stories caught your interest at least.

Honestly, it's been sooo long since I've read this to even recall the people that's not 48 members, but I have no problem with them showing up once in a while. I don't think you should make them mainstream because it'll totally deter the story somewhere else, in my opinion, and I would like it to be solely about our girls.
I think I'm fine with a male character showing up, since I do have 1 or 2 that shows up in my fics too, so it would be hypocritical of me to say no. Though, that doesn't mean that I don't like my female only world lol
I guess I rather have a regular streams of update since I've waited for so long, so waiting a little longer wouldn't kill me.
I've contacted you before on Tumblr regarding this fic, but glad to know that you're thinking of it ^_^

About your questions, I think it's totally fine to add original characters. Though I'm not so sure if they were to play bigger roles. I for one, prefers reading a familiar name for the ease of my imagination lol. Male characters showing up is no big deal XD
As a reader of course I would want quick updates, but waiting is not an issue for me as long as updates will be posted eventually hehehe~

I just read through all the chapters and you've got me hooked!
Seeing that you added in "Riku," I was imagining Takamina in her Kai outfit.
And Atsumina definitely has UST. :lol:
I think it's okay to add original characters even for major roles, especially if they're male characters. XD
I'd love to read a new chapter as soon as possible, but I'm all up for waiting for steadier updates. Seeing unfinished stories always makes me sad, so as long as you have plans to finish this story I'll be happy.
