The AKB48 Agencies Thread

After seeing the election results this year, a lot of us mentioned HoriPro failed.

They put all their eggs in one basket (Itano) and the result was lower than everybody expected (#8). The other HoriPro girls dropped or barely made top 40...

The question is, what would be a good path for HoriPro?

We've seen that subgroups generally boost the popularity of all its members (i.e. NY, DiVa), so maybe that could be an option? But who should be in it?
Should Itano be included to make the unit more competitive with the other subgroups?

For the sake of argument I assume Natto Angel(Z) will never become a permanent unit.

Itano Tomomi, Kasai Tomomi, Miyazaki Miho, Satou Sumire, Ishida Haruka, Moeno Nito (and Ohori Megumi and Chen Qu from SDN48)... A lot of different characters, but surely there has got to be a subgroup in there somewhere?

Looking back at the election list, only 2 members who are underage made the cut for senbatsu. The adult-age working girls definitely had a bit of an advantage since Watarirouka had the biggest drop being the only loli unit.

HoriPro might be buying their time with giving the girls more exposure, especially Myao who they are desperate to market as their own Sasshi. Kasai has been left to rot for too long now, and pairing her up again with Itano will look like desperation. That leaves Harukyan and Suu-chan with Kasai and Nitou which is a weird combination when you think about it.

Kasai lead with SuuCan back-up doing rock based pop songs in edgy rock/pop/school girls style outfits is what HoriPro should do. The end.

Ok. Added all of Team 4 (who are all with AKS anyway), translated the agency names (for you heathens), and sorted the list by agency/JP name. Next up: links to the agency pages for each girl, SKE, NMB, and HKT.

Contracts for AKB48's Katayama Haruka and Sato Amina ended today with their agency "Atelier Duncan".
