Definitely one of my favorite drama so far this season. The cast is splendid, especially Kohinata, as I've never seen him as a lead before. The execution of the storyline is pretty unpredictable as well. Also as a side note, Yoshitaka Yuriko is hot. lol

(I had a joke here about Kuriyama Chiaki's nose but I thought twice about it :lol:)
It's funny that Yuriko's character is a horrible actress on the screen, but when she's lying for her own amusement she transforms into Meryl Freaking Streep.

After ep 7...this show is taking a turn I really didn't expect, it's starting to look like
(spoilers)
the whole thing was a set-up by Minami. What a devious bastard that guy was (is?) :P
Eager to see what happens.

im really very interested in how everything is going to work out, much more so than other doramas! did they explain before that sugimoto was an insurance claim investigator, or was the first mention in ep 9? cus i was sitting here most the time going "wtf is sugimoto even doing here?!" despite totally enjoying him

I'm sure they revealed about Sugimoto before, don't remember when or how though.
I've been searching for the soundtrack that came out last month, surely it's been ripped by now but I can't find it on share or any torrent sites ;_;

I just finished it. The ending wasn't as strong as I was expecting it to be, but it was good enough to round it up.
Yuriko should have the best newcomer award if she doesn't have it already.
I've been looking for the soundtrack too. The jazz pairing with the drama's mood was just great.

just finished it the other day. the finale was another great example that J-Doramas are about the journey, not the destination. it was alright, but nothing like what i expected. honestly, I think it wouldve been a stronger ending if he had still killed himself and it still showed how everyone had changed through his death AND having been in his company. and wtf, they didnt show what happened to shinobu at the end like everyone else D:!!!
Kohinata deserves best actor. Yuriko needs best newcomer (even though its not her *first* drama (how are the rules on that category?)). and i even think Matsuda could get best supporting actor.

i felt the ending was alright but i was hoping for more with such a great storyline. the biggest disappointment for me was how they decided to tie in all the loose ends which i felt was pretty lackluster.
i mean, they put on so much emphasizes on Minami being a bad guy and whether or not he is really dead, so when Kita-san finally meets him face to face what happens?? "oh sorry ruining 11-years of your life Kita-san, here let me use my super psychological powers to get rid of your negative side... we're cool now right?" ...and thats the last we heard of him... :thumbdown:
also, the entire story focuses on how Heita and Rika will manage to come up with the $20million, but in the end the loan sharks got caught by the cops and the debt was magically cleared. fuck, if it was that easy they shouldve called the cops in the first place.
Overall though, this was a great drama. Superb casting and great plot twists that will keep you guessing what will happen next throughout the entire show.
My verdict: Great storyline, disappointing ending, Yoshitaka Yuriko is HAWT! :heart:
