Namiya General Store was a film definitely worth watching,
based on the book by celebrated author Keigo Higashino.

This may be a bit sudden but I just noticed her after watching Namiya Store. Her acting is brilliant.  :twothumbs

Just want to ask does anyone know where I can download all her photobook?
My local bookstores have no more stock for all her photobook.  :banghead:

Watched another 2007 film which starred Riko san and featured Atsuko Maeda



あしたの私のつくり方 (How to Become Myself) was directed by the late Jun Ichikawa, and the source material was a story by 30 year old Kaori Mado.

Atsuko Maeda, Riko Narumi, & Director Jun ichikawa

Not just another teen romance film, but instead a very real look at adolescents struggling to find out who they are on the path to adulthood.

Extremely nuanced performance from Narumi, and Maeda first showing a real talent in this film.






Sousuke Takaoka played a literature teacher who encouraged
 Narumi’s character to write




Maeda’s character was intently reading a story written by Juri(Narumi)


Maeda did get to use a little of her AKBingo skillz


A real opportunity


Worth a watch!
