I got lil' something for peeps who like both rap music and kung fu flicks. Wu-Tang Clan albums have always been full of kung fu movie samples but them dudes never really rapped about martial arts. A few years ago Moongod Allah and his homies released the first real kung fu themed concept albums called 'Ten Tigers of Kwantung' and 'The Return of the Ten Tigers'. Both albums are full of dope beats and references to various old school kung fu flicks. Highly recommended to all rap & kung fu fans :yep:

RIP, ODB...

4 years already. Now they wanna drop a fuckin tell all book on ya. RZA. step it up. Boycott this book "Digging For Dirt" author Jaime Lowe got O.J.'s lawyer Robert Shapiro to spill the beans. WTF.

“His behavior was a result of mental illness,” Shapiro noted in the book. “One time he had his hat on backward, had on two different shoes, and he stood with his back to the judge with his hat facing the judge as if he was looking at the judge."

Suuurrree...ODB just lived his life, not willing to be judged by others. Fearless. We miss you Dirt Dawg. Best believe we'll drop the tribute this weekend on HiP HoP Hizzy. Check the site for local listings near you.

Mental Illness? The shit is that? There are lots of people who wear different shoes at the same time. Like when you have 2 pairs of fresh Jordans and want to rock em both?

Makes me wonder why some people won't leave people alone? Money? Prolly the reason. If you want to do something like this, celebrate their life, not poke at about someone's problems in someone's life, like how Tupac: Resurrection did. It was a celebration of his life and they did him justice. Why not do that instead?

"Hello all. So... we are back again. This time, with a special website devoted just to this really exciting project. Me and Terry got together and decided to do a project honoring two of our favorite musical forces... Jay-Z and Coldplay.

Jay-Z is easily considered one of the best emcees of all time, and our personal fave. And Coldplay is one of the best rock bands of all time... this generation's U2. Definitely the latest group following in the lineage of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, and Radiohead.

It's no secret Shawn Carter and Chris Martin have been friends and collaborators in recent years, most recently on Jay's "Beach Chair" and Kanye West's "Homecoming." But it was their first actual Coldplay collabo... the recently released "Lost!" remix that inspired this project to come to fruition.

In addition to self-producing a few tracks ourselves, we reached out to some of our favorite producers in the game... from Jay-Z's collaborator 9th Wonder, The Kickdrums (50 Cent, TI) and Cookin' Soul (The Game, Dipset) to up and comers like 6th Sense, nVMe and Garbs Infinite.

After assigning all the producers samples and snippets that we felt fit their musical talents, we began the process of assembling as many Jay-Z vocal tracks as we could find. As the submissions came back, one by one, we decided which Jay-Z verse would fit this particular interpretation of Coldplay's sounds.

As we began piecing together the correct verses to match the correct beats, it became clear how truly amazing this project really is. This is what real music is supposed to sound like. The lyrical elegance of Shawn Carter, the vocal magic of Chris Martin, the finely tuned instruments of Coldplay, the creative visions by our team of producers, and lastly, our analysis of which Jay verse best fit each track.

If you love Jay-Z and you're not into Coldplay, this is for you. If you love Coldplay, but don't mess with hip-hop, this is for you. If you love all good music, this is definitely for you.

We hope this project bridges the gap between genres, fans, and generations. And if you haven't...make sure you BUY the real Jay-Z and Coldplay music we remixed on this project. Support quality artists."

- Mick Boogie

Although i guessed on the RZA Movie one =)

If anyone wants it...  I had half the album already from all the leaks.  Listening to all of it, dang, you're depressing Emo Kanye.

It is an album from his heart, but... I'm bored of it already.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I liked Heartless, Paranoid, Robocop, Street Lights, Bad News, and See You In My Nightmares. The rest was just Love Lockdown changed up a bit. And no, it doesn't really belong in a rap thread, but whatever.

Additionally, Capcom will be releasing a direct-to-download music album of hip-hop tracks inspired by the Street Fighter series. Street Fighter® Underground Remix will feature the musical flavor of artists such as DJ Qbert, Hieroglyphics, Redman, Oh No, DJ Toure, Mistah FAB and Zion I. Each artist has produced a Street Fighter tribute track that will be free of charge and exclusive to the PlayStation®Network when Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix launches.

Fucking sickkk!  I didn't know about it, i guess cuz i don't have a PS3 =P New HEIRO!  I hope there's more
edit:  Heiro track is the best out of the 5.  Redman next.  Qbert's track reminds of of the old SF2 sets he did back in the day.  I actually like the Zion I track the least.

^ PROPS Mocha. Fuck I can't find that in stores anywhere. Fuckin HMV. I managed to DL it but they zipped it 3 times lol. I'm a up it on our servers so check back tmr!

LOL Autotune...time for me to rant! O0

copped me some Kanye - limited edition included a poster, of his moms :)

You know, say what you will about Kanye and his so-called arrogance. Arrogance is good. Has there ever been an emo rapper? He wants to be Elvis. So be it. Just like JPHiP.com is the best site in universe. Abso-fuckin-lutely.

The Review? I gotta say ...808 is musical genius. Glad the whole shit wasn't all auto-tune singing, with a few verses in "Heartless" - that joint with T-Pain. couldn't tell who was who lmao

The songs hit close to home, reminding me of ex flames in "Robocop" "Paranoid" "Heartless" to current crushing in "Love Lockdown" "Coldest Winter" - thugs get lonely too.

I heard the wack-ass leak Masa hooked me up with XD XD "shock RADIO!" and Robocop was completely different. I digged that more robot noise, but with the orchestra on the final version. Fuckin best song of the Year. Esp. love that YOU A SPOILED LA GIRL! YA JUST AN LA GIRL! YA SPOILED! XD XD

HiP HoP is all about pushing the envelope and fuckin Kanye has done it with 808 and Hearbreak. A joint that really makes you go WTF cuz it ain't that same ol same ol

Instead of sampling a rap beat from the 90s, Kanye went elsewhere:

http://www.pigeonsandplanes.com/2008/11/808s-and-heartbreak-songs-kanye-sampled.html

The Alan Parsons Project - Ammonia Avenue ("Heartless")
Patrick Doyle - Kissing in the Rain ("Robocop")
Nina Simone - See Line Woman ("Bad News")
Tears for Fears - Memories Fade ("Coldest Winter")

INSANE. HK Animators REPPING:

Humble Kanye? Cop that 808 & Heartbreaks NOW.
