That's right ya'll Wicked the musical is now going to be Wicked the movie! As was anounced on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicked

I've yet to see any previews what with it being in pre-production but hopefuly the OBC (or at least Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth) are in it.

According to wikipedia

The musical is being made into a movie by Universal Pictures. Pre-Production will begin in 2010 and it is set to be released in 2012

No official word on who the leads will be but there is already bashing and guessing going on at imdb..... Those sad losers lol. Anyway as far as I am concerned I just can't wait to watch it. And I hope to god they don't kill it and it's as good (at least to me ) as some of the other broadway musicals that have been brought to the big screen (I thought Sweeeny Todd was great though unconvinced a little by Johny Depp's acting. He didn't look angry as much as... empty. And I loved RENT!)

I for one can't wait for the cinema doors to open so I can go in, green makeup and all to watch what is my fave Broadway musical be brought to film ^^D what about you guys?

If this is ever realised, I hope they go by the book not the musical. It's not that I dislike the musical, I just prefer the book.

On that movie rumor... they said they are still in conversation and shizz and that it was a possibility to amke it happened for 2012 XDDD
I just hope to see some Gelphie in action and for it to be recorded for the future generations XDDD
