NMB48 members Matsuda Shiori and Yoshida Akari to suspend activitieshttp://www.tokyohive.com/2011/09/nmb48-members-matsuda-shiori-and-yoshida-akari-to-suspend-activities/ (http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/09/nmb48-members-matsuda-shiori-and-yoshida-akari-to-suspend-activities/)
On September 4th, NMB48 revealed through their official website that Team N members Matsuda Shiori and Yoshida Akari will be temporarily halting their activities.
When asked about her suspension, Matsuda commented, “I began to think, ‘Until now I’ve been busy with work every day, but are my own behaviors living up to all my fans’ expectations?’ and ‘Is this really okay with me?’. These insecure feelings made me feel uneasy about continuing my NMB48 activities; I felt that I needed time to look over myself once more.” She continued, “I’ll definitely be back in front of you all, so please watch over me warmly until then.”
Yoshida has also left her fans a message about her suspension. “While working a lot every day, I’ve been having some doubts and anxieties within myself, and I felt as if I wouldn’t be able to face my NMB48 activities… Since I’ve never regretted becoming part of NMB48 and I – of course – love NMB48, I’ll be taking a break. I’d like to take a look at myself once more and come back with my original intentions.”
Currently, the length of both girls’ suspensions have not yet been confirmed. Yoshida’s suspension will include her participation in NMB48’s upcoming second single, which will be released on October 19th.
NMB48 to change 3 senbatsu members for 2nd singlehttp://www.tokyohive.com/2011/09/nmb48-to-change-3-senbatsu-members-for-2nd-single/ (http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/09/nmb48-to-change-3-senbatsu-members-for-2nd-single/)
The senbatsu members chosen to participate in NMB48’s 2nd single, scheduled for release on October 19th, have just been changed.
The newly announced senbatsu members participating are Ogasawara Mayu, Kadowaki Kanako, Kishino Rika, Kinoshita Haruna, Kotani Riho, Jounishi Kei, Shiroma Miru, Fukumoto Aina, Yamaguchi Yuuki, Yamada Nana, and Yamamoto Sayaka from Team N. 1st generation kenkyuusei member Yamagishi Natsumi, and 2nd generation kenkyuusei members Jou Eriko, Murakami Ayaka, Yagura Fuuko, and Yogi Keira, for a total of 16 members.
The members who were announced to be participating last time were Team N’s Kondou Rina, Watanabe Miyuki, and Yoshida Akari, who announced the other day that she will be taking a break from her entertainment activities. The three members were replaced for the upcoming single with Yamaguchi Yuuki, Yamagishi Natsumi, and Murakami Ayaka.
The new single’s title, tracklist, and release contents will be announced later on NMB48’s official website.
NMB48's 3rd Generation Kenkyuusei performed their 1st Stage [Aitakatta] on April 29th for the first time. [Aitakatta] was originally performed by Team A in 2006 as their 2nd Stage, and later redone by Team B and Team KII. For NMB48's version, 16 out of the 22 3rd Generation members were selected to perform the Shonichi show.
An important position to watch out for in the [Aitakatta] Show is the lead girl for [Nagisa no Cherry] . This song is almost a solo and the lead part has been performed originally by Maeda Atsuko and later by Watanabe Mayu and Mukaida Manatsu. This time the position was assigned to Katou Yuuka, an indication that she will be among the front girls of the 3rd Generation.
The shonichi for Team N's third stage, originally set for May 12th, has been postponed to a date yet unknown. This was revealed at today's concert of NMB48's live tour [Osaka Juuban Shoubu] in the Orix Theater in Osaka.
Fans had been expecting the yet unnamed third (and first original) stage on May 14th as part of the [Minogashita Kimitachi e 2] revival concerts. Instead, Team N will be performing a spinoff to their currently ongoing tour "Osaka Juuban Shoubu" in TDC Hall.
NMB48 finished its Osaka prefecture tour Osaka Juuban Shoubu on May 31st, and the final day brought several announcements with it.
First of all, Kenkyuusei Okita Ayaka was promoted to Team M. She took the spot of Kodakari Yuuka who graduated in April due to health problems. Okita Ayaka was one of the two 1st Generation Kenkyuusei left who neither made Team N nor M. Now Koyanagi Arisa is the only 1st Generation Kenkyuusei left.
Additionally, it was announced that NMB48's 5th single will be released on August 8. The single will come in the usual 4 types: A, B, C and Theater Version. No other details are out yet.
Apart from that another NMB48 tour was announced. After the Osaka Prefecture Tour, the group will now tour the whole Kinki/Kansai region with one concert in every prefecture of the region. The temporary title for the tour is Kinki Juuoumujin Tour (近畿縦横無尽ツアー, roughly translated: Kinki do as one please Tour).
The dates are:
7/18 Shiga Prefecture, Otsu Shimin Kaikan
7/27 Kyoto Prefecture, Uji City Culture Center
8/1 Nara Prefecture, Nara Centennial Hall
8/8 Wakayama Prefecture, Wakayama Municipal Auditorium
8/15 Hyogo Prefecture, Kobe International House International Hall
8/21 Osaka Prefecture, Orix Theater
September 20 was the last performance of NMB48 Team Ns 2nd Stage [Seishun Girls] and during the show three important dates were announced. On October 8, N3, the first original stage for Team N, will finally start. On October 9 there will be a show to reveal the New Team M and the next day, October 10, Team BII will perform its first show.
All these special shows are held to commemorate NMB48's 2nd anniversary.
Team N's 3rd Stage has been delayed (once again)...

To commemorate NMB48's 2nd anniversary Team N performed a special show in the theater on October 8. Originally, the Shonichi of N3 was scheduled for this date, but because N3 had been delayed, Team N performed a special setlist.
Some non-Team N members joined Team N for some of the songs and Yokoyama Yui also made an appearance in the theatre to perform [Kitagawa Kenji], NMB48's 6th single. The PV of the single was also shown for the first time.
The 2nd Anniversary Special Lives will continue with New Team M on October 9, and Team BII the following day.

4 Nara-born NMB48 members appear in local Nara CM

On April 24, it was revealed that 4 Nara Prefecture- born members of NMB48, including Watanabe Miyuki (19), will appear in a CM that will only be broadcast in Nara Prefecture. Miyuki spoke happily about appearing in a local CM for her home-prefecture for the first time with, “I am deeply touched.”
The CM is for automobile store “Shimada Auto,” and the store has sold a car before to her mother. Member Ota Yuri (13), Uno Mizuki (16), and Nakano Reina (13) also appear in the CM and together, the four sing and dance to the melody. They dance “Nara-style” with a Buddha-inspired dance. The CM will be on-air on Nara TV starting on April 26.
Miyuki spoke about the impact of incorporating Nara’s “local flavor” and did PR with, “Both unique and surreal, I never thought I would have such an impact as an idol. I think it is much cuter than what I expected.”
On September 13, Team BII performed the stage [Party ga Hajimaru yo] as a special and during this show it was announced that they will start a new stage. Team BII's current stage [Aitakatta] will have its Senshuuraku (final performance) on October 17 and the new stage will start on November 1.
NMB48 started [Aitakatta], originally Team A's 2nd Stage, in April last year as a Kenkyuusei stage for their 3rd Generation Kenkyuusei. When Team BII was formed in October last year, the [Aitakatta] stage was continued as Team BII's 1st Stage.
As previously reported, new stages for all teams have been announced during AKB48's Tokyo Dome Concert. Team BII's Shonichi (first performance) was set for August 9 next year, still almost a whole year to go. So the new stage about to start in November will most probably be either a redone stage or a waiting stage.

While the 48-member, Tokyo-based AKB48 still holds the spot as Japan’s top idol singer unit, its sister troupes around the country are no slouches either. NMB48, which operates out of Osaka’s Namba neighborhood, joined the sorority of tri-letter mega-groups produced by the prolific Yasushi Akimoto in 2011.
NMB48 has followed its predecessor’s lead in providing fans with a high level of personal access to its members. Aside from regularly holding concerts in their proprietary theatre, the performers of NMB48 occasionally hold events where they greet and shake hands with their adoring supporters.
It’s an exciting opportunity for any fan to press palms with their idol, and it’s understandable that some hope to make an impression on their favorite, either with a heartfelt smile, a kind word of encouragement, or a legally binding marriage proposal.
NMB48 to get a documentary film in 2015LINKS
October 16, 2014
NMB48's documentary film, tentatively titled 'DOCUMENTARY of NMB48', will open in theaters in 2015.
NMB48 formed in Osaka in 2010 as AKB48's 2nd sister group. Their 1st documentary film will follow the group's career before their formation until now. It will reveal the relationship between the two aces Yamamoto Sayaka and Watanabe Miyuki, as well as the reason why Yokoyama Yui, who held a concurrent position in AKB48 and NMB48 for 6 months, loved NMB48. The members will also reflect on the group's past with various episodes and interviews.
NMB48 had expressed their wishes of having their own documentary film during the stage greeting for AKB48's documentary film 'DOCUMENTARY of AKB48 The time has come Shoujotachi wa, Ima, Sono Senaka ni Nani wo Omou?'.
