1. GAM - LU LU LU A great song and awesome singers. :> GAM's best single and the best of 2007.
2. Morning Musume - Kanashimi Twilight A great Morning Musume song! Yossi rocks in it yayy and I love Aichan's clothes.
3. Viyuden - Jajauma Paradise Damn it, so catchy and the funniest choreography ever!
4. ℃-ute - Tokaikko Junjou Again choreography rules, and the song is cool. I'm kinda bored with Maimi, though. AIRI FTW <3
5. Melon Kinenbi - Onegai Miwaku no Target This song is very good cause it's not the usual H!P style, and MKB is great!

#3 Matsuura Aya - Egao (I don't care if others thought this song was blah, I'm a sucker for a ballad where the singer "belts it out" the way Aya does with this)
#4 ℃-ute - Tokaikko Junjou (their best song so far, IMO)
#5 Ongaku Gatas - Nari Hajimeta Koi no BELL (was unsure how to receive this initially, it's insanely catchy)

#2 C-ute - Sakura Chirari (the song that drew me into C-ute)
#3 Morning Musume - Mikan (was kinda neutral about it at first, but after a couple repeats, i fell in love with the song xD)
#4 Buono! - Honto no Jibun (my h!p shock of the year, didn't really think much about it at first, but after i finally listened to it after watching c-ute's concert, i'm willing to admit that its a pretty good song)
#5 Biyuuden - Koi Suru Angel Heart (love the pv, love the beats, love the girls)

Their BEST single imho.  Reminded me a LOT of something that would have been in Strawberry Panic or Maria-sama ga Miteru.  Their album disappointed me a little.. I thought it would be more like this. ;__;

This was the first Morning Musume single I fell in love with in like, years.  I still listen to it like crazy!

#3  Viyuden - Jajauma Paradise
Despite the music video disappointing me, I love this song.  Too bad FANTASY wasn't a single..

#4  ℃-ute - Tokaikko Junjou
I love c-ute, I love this song... it's so much more fitting for them (image-wise, etc).  I hope their new album continues where this left off.

#5  Morning Musume Tanjou 10nen Kinentai - Itoshiki Tomo e
I actually really loved this one a lot..  Originally it would have been my number 1, but alas.. once autumn came about it felt odd listening to it (I associate it with summer).

I basically ranked mine in order of singles I've most listened to.  There were quite a few I loved but after a while kinda faded out of my iPod playlists.... so I longer I loved them basically, the better a favourite they are :3

#1 Morning Musume - Egao YES Nude (One of my favorite MM singles ever, hope their first 2008 single is similar)
#2 Viyuden - Koi suru Angel Heart (Most listened to Viyuden song for me this year, very underrated single)
#3 Maki Goto - Secret (I love this, had a r/b hiphop feel to a ballad song)
#4 Athena & Robikerottsu - Shouri no BIG WAVE!!! (Very catchy, closest thing to a Mini-Moni single I loved it for that)
#5 Aya Matsuura - Egao (Beautiful Ballad, had a great feel to it)

Missed out in the other polls but got this one in! :) This was hard, had about 9 songs I could of chose for top 5 but I tried to select at least one from those I listened to.

Pretty kewl results. Morning Musume dominates top 5, but I have to say they absolutely deserved it this year. No Chokkans, no Namidas, no crap.

A good year for ℃-ute at JPH!P, too - but Tokaikko Junjou must be a tough single to follow! How could they possibly do even better? ~TENSION!~

A practical question:
This way of voting seems to be much easier to understand for everyone. I only had to ignore one vote for not following the rules. :lol: (Usually the amount is 3-4) It was also easier to gather the votes and count. Do you think this voting system should be used in other polls? Or do you like the "split 100 points among members" style?

I like the "split 100 points among members" style, but I'm more than ok with this style too. If it's easier, keep doing it this way :)

Yeah there are many reasons why I like the 100 points system... For example, you can give equal amount of points to some members instead of having to put them in order... Ranking can be so difficult @__@ but there are always people who fail to add up to 100 or read all of the rules... Some have bad English and can't understand complicated rules (and I must admit that the '100 points' rules are kinda complicated)... If it was just "rank 1 - 5" or something, anyone could do it XD

So it's very tempting to switch to ranking system instead, but I can see how people might miss the 100 points' system... :/

It'd be really helpful to hear more opinions from you the people XD You're the ones who have to vote in these things, afterall. In the end what I want is as many people as possible to be able to and willing to vote :lol:

I think just a normal poll works out quite well personally, easier to follow and less likely to have any problems or mistakes.
