Special Warfare Team JUICE has a busy mission calendar this year.

As announced by Strike Group 23's Commodore, Uemura Akari, Juice=Juice will be embarked aboard guided missile cruiser Tsubaki Factory for this year's “Chikappa Festival 2023”.

These 2 sailors (acting Ensigns) will be reunited in the same strike group once again:



Runo: Don't you worry, Kisaki...I will definitely testify for your when you get court-martialled for indiscriminate cruelty and killing of our enemy combatants.

Kisaki: Thanks, Runo. I know I can depend on my old Naval Academy classmate.

In recognition of her outstanding service as Commander of Juice, Akari Uemura was earmarked by Secretary of the Navy, Nakazawa Yuko for promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral after the cessation of her active duty in the special forces unit




When interviewed by the media, retired Admiral Maimi Yajima, herself a former Admiral of Hello Project Fleet, remarked that "she felt as if it was only yesterday that Akari last disembarked from the lockout chamber of the submarine C-ute for their mission"

The Commanding Officer of Juice revealed today that the Fleet staff fumbled during the surprise announcement of Sakura and Akaringo joining the Team.

With a staight face, Captain Uemura revealed that one of the staff blurted out "Ishiyama" when she was calling Ichika to instruct her to move her position during the filming, making Ichika really suspicious:

At the Fleet Operations Centre, the lone figure of Rear-Admiral Akari Uemura stared at the tactical viewscreen as she observes the next generation of her beloved Special Warfare Team, now led by Captain Ruru Danbara, in action. The Flag Officer muttered an inaudible prayer for their safety. But much as she loved being their Commanding Officer at one point in her life, she also knew the reality is that the Team had to move on, as the members continue to grow and evolve.



Suddenly the Admiral's lips carved out a familiar smile, as she recalled the years before where she would do anything to avoid the responsibilities of Command, even to the extent of begging Kanazawa Tomoko to cancel her retirement and continue leading the team. And now, in hindsight, Akari find herself enjoying her tenure as Commanding Officer of the elite unit, at times, wishing she was with them right now on the battlefield. Ahh, she thought...the kids have indeed grown up...and it was all because of us, The OG's legacy.

But luckily for everyone, Lieutenant Matsunaga successfully made amends by bringing the Captain and Risa to their designated Special Warfare Cafe, Devil's Cafe, at Naval Station Kansai

The OG officers were around to watch Juice perform their 10th Anniversary Budokan. Captain Miyamoto, however, could not make it in time due to work commitments.

ONBOARD THE ANGERME (CVN-88), WALKING AWAY FROM THE FLIGHT DECK

Rikako Sasaki: Attention on deck!!

Akari Uemura: As you were, everyone. It's so good to be back onboard the Angerme, Rikako.

Rikako: Good to have Special Warfare back on our side now for this "Three of Us" campaign, Admiral. Not only Juice, but Ocha too. Speaking of which, why didn't you request Kamiko for a C2 pickup from Yokosuka, Ma'am? You could've travelled in comfort instead of arriving here flying a beat-up F-18 fighter jet.

Akari (removing her flight helmet from her head): Well, CAG, I haven't been in an F-18 cockpit for so long now.. it helps to jog my memory and get some adrenaline pumping, you know. Plus, I've got Ensign Ebata at the back seat, so I've got nothing to worry about.

Kisaki: [peeks out from behind and salutes Rikako] Captain.

Rikako: Colonel Danbara and Commander Inoue touched down on their jets a few minutes before your arrival, Admiral. The rest of Ocha should be arriving this afternoon. Our XO will let you know once their C2 ride touch down on the flight deck.

Akari: Speaking of your XO...how is Kawamu these days?

Rikako: Well, you know how it is. When she's not on duty on the bridge, she always indulges in her passion for dismantling tuna at the officer's mess. Plenty out here on the high seas, it seems. And by the way, when we heard that Juice and Ocha will be in our battle group for "Three of Us", we can't help but feel luck is finally on our side.

Akari: [chuckles] Don't speak too soon, Captain..or you're gonna jinx it. Don't expect too much from me as your Group Admiral...we're up against a total of 4 ships here. I don't know if I can help pull off another victory like I did with Attack Group C in the Two of Us campaign.

Before commencing the Three Of Us Wargames, the Sakuringo duo spent a bit of time grabbing some konbini oden and eating it outside of the store. They were enjoying the food so much they were initially oblivious to the fact that their photos were captured by some sailors from The Angerme:





Realizing this would probably be her last wargames tour at sea, Rear-Admiral Uemura spent some quality time with her favourite Warrant Officer, Irie Risa:

The sailors and officers of Battle Group B assembled on the deck of the aircraft carrier Angerme, tense with the anticipation of the Three of Us wargames. Then, each of their gaze was transfixed to the most senior officer who will lead their battle group, Rear Admiral Akari Uemura. The young Rear-Admiral, already a veteran of countless successful missions over the past decade, knew this would be the last time she will be touring with the fleet  at sea as a Group Admiral. And so, with all the members of the Team Juice, Team Ocha Norma and The Angerme gathered here to honour her last cruise, Akari led the war chant to begin their campaign!

Two Years have passed since the events of JuiceStory...

THE ANGERME, DOCKED IN NAVAL STATION YOKOSUKA

[The Carrier's ceremonial ship's bell rung 4 times, announcing the incoming arrival of 3 senior flag officers. The voice of Ensign Wakana Matsumoto, the Officer of the deck on duty, curtly announced the dignitaries waiting to board the ship over the PA system]

WAKANA: Admiral, 5th Fleet, Arriving....Admiral, Special Warfare, Arriving....Admiral, Naval Research, Arriving.

ADMIRAL MIYAZAKI YUKA: 5 Days...5 Days.. What do you think happened to them, Uemu?

REAR-ADMIRAL UEMURA AKARI: [shrugging] I wished I knew....

YUKA: [casts a suspicious sideways glance at RADM Miyamoto] Karin?

REAR-ADMIRAL MIYAMOTO KARIN: [pointing her finger back at herself]  Me...?

YUKA: Yes, Karin...why do I have a feeling you somehow know what's going on...

KARIN: Well, I did have a theory...but other than that, I dunno for certain..

[CAPTAIN KAMIKOKURYO and CAPTAIN DANBARA then approach the gangway from the superstructure on the flight deck]

MOE [saluting]: Sorry to keep you waiting, Admiral! The Angerme and Team Juice are ready for your inspection.

YUKA: Thank you, Captain.

[YUKA, AKARI and KARIN returned the salutes of the 2 senior officers of Angerme and Juice. As all of the Flag Officers embarked on board, each passing by Ruru]

YUKA: Ruru, What the heck is going on?..An entire special forces unit just vanished off the surface of the earth? what kind of Navy is this?

RURU [still saluting]: It's a long story, Admiral. I will make sure you will have all the details in our debrief.

[As the senior officers retired into the nearby conference room, Rei and Moe then turned towards Ruru]

MOE: What are you gonna tell them, Ruru?

RURU: The truth, I guess, that Juice have inadvertantly crossed over to a parallel universe, for 5 days...

REI: I sure hope the fact that all 3 admirals are our OGs means they will be easier on you during the debrief, Ru-chan.

RURU: Well, Rei...one thing's for sure....it is DEFINITELY one heck of a story....

[Ruru showed a few photos which she had held in her hand, to Moe. Their crossing over was no freak of nature. It was a fate that brought them, particularly Riai, close to a new member thats so beloved to them now, and that is a miracle they are grateful to have]

It seems Lieutenant Matsunaga is expressing her angst during the promotion exercise, judging from the cryptic illustrations she drawn on a white T-shirt!   







Sensing an impending storm coming from her Osaka senior, Ensign Ebata then proceeds to steer clear away from Riai, spending some more quality time with her Officer Academy classmate, Ensign Yofu Runo.





These 2 old friends seem to be having a blast around each other, despite serving on different units/ship.
