I asked something of Mayu who was on standby wearing her Hikaru Monotachi outfit.

会場にお越し下さった皆様、YouTubeでご覧になって下さった皆様ありがとうございました！
Thank you everyone who had come and everyone who had watched from YouTube!

振り返ってみると、今年は特に姉妹グループの楽曲がたくさんランクインしていて、リクアワらしいな～という感じで嬉しかったです(^^)
When I look back, there are especially many songs from the sister groups in the ranking this year, and I’m happy because it got the feeling like a Request Award.

そして、3日目にはゆきりんと「てもでもの涙」を歌わせていただきました！
And also, on the 3rd day, I performed “Temodemo no Namida” with Yukirin!

ゆきりんと2人だけで歌うユニットは、ありそうでなかったので、チームが離れ離れになってしまった今、一緒に歌えて嬉しかったです。ありがとうございました！
There were no songs with me and Yukirin as a unit, so now that we’ve been separated into different teams, I was happy that we could sing together. Thank you!

リクアワらしい4日間、楽しかったです！
The 4-day long request award were exciting!

After the team reshuffle, though Mayuyu and Yukirin had been separated into different teams, they are still harmonious from the beginning to the end of the shooting, as the two from the original team B. They chatted, and Mayuyu sat on Yukirin’s lap… Such a relationship of these two, who are relaxed and understand each other’s thoughts, is very heart-warming.


“After” the tears of AKB48.
The longing Tokyo Dome performance, Maeda Atsuko’s graduation…Year 2012 is a year with “Upheavals” we’ve never seen in the group’s history to AKB48. The newest documentary following those girls’ activities in 2012 has finished. We have asked Watanabe Mayu and Kashiwagi Yuki, who had reached a new aspect in both solo and group work, to look back the year before.

Profile
Born in March 26, 1994. Team A’s member. First starred in the drama “SabaDol” (TV Tokyo) and started her solo debut with its theme song. Served as the main voice actor for the anime “Nerawareta Gakuen”.

Looking back at that “tears”
Maeda-san had always been looking at our backs, she really is an important and loved existence. I wondered what would happen to us after Maeda-san had graduated, but I’ve been able to stand up and move forward.

For the movie, I’ve had a one-to-one interview with Takahashi Eiki the director. I was nervous, but since the director knew about AKB48 very well before for making the music videos, so I was able to talk what I really thought, although there were delicate parts or delicate questions. More than eve, I could even talk about profound parts.

Mariko-sama’s speech at the election last year (Please challenge the senpais with the determination to crush them.) had quite resonated me. Though I’m not the type that would continue to lead without reserve, but I want to become an existence that could lead everyone. I think that after the start of “The 2nd chapter of AKB48”, activities for the young members would increase from now on, so I think it’d be good if we could make more opportunities for everyone to be able to grow up and shine brighter.

My solo works in last year had also increased, and I was allowed to held CD launch events, but there are differences between my own space and the activity in AKB48. I was also happy that I could do the anime voicing work, which I’ve been loving from before, for the TV anime “AKB0048” or the movie “Nerawareta Gakuen”. I would like to continue that work if I had chances. Now I’m not good at talking so I’d like to try harder.

I think year 2012 was the most shocking year ever in AKB48’s history. You should be able to see a lot of back sides in this film. Please watch the movie and look back at a lot of things, like “So this is what happened (behind the scene)”.

I saw another translation online by Chinese fans that says:

如果可以 到死之前都不結婚

It means: If possible, I don't want to get married even before I die.

This translation sounds a lot closer to the impression that Mayuyu has given us so far. In one AKBINGO episode last year, she was so happy that the fortune teller predicted she will suffer the worst marriage among all the girls present and she even said that she expected such an outcome. The hosts and the other girls were all surprised by her abnormally odd joy at a prediction that most girls would never want to befall them

My understanding of Japanese isn't at the level where I am able to tell the subtle differences in meanings but anyway, the first translation shows that Mayuyu still hasn't given marriage a proper thought unlike most other girls who look forward to getting married and starting a family in the future. This means that Mayuyu is here to stay in the idol / show business for a long time to come
