I recently got to sit in on an interview with Ke Huy Quan of The Goonies and Indiana Jones: Temple Of Doom at a signing event in Birmingham, England. It was the first proper signing event that he's ever done. He did the show based on Jeff Cohen's (Chunk from The Goonies) recommendation (we actually got drunk with Jeff Cohen at the event last year so that recommendation must have surely had something to do with us buying Jeff drinks all night
). Ke said he wasn't sure about doing the event at first, but he was really amazed at how much those films still mean to people over twenty years later and he loved meeting the fans.
We got to do a private interview with him for thegoonies.org and we reunited him with the jacket he wore in the film.
He's a really lovely guy and he ended up signing a lot of our stuff for free. On the final day he even invited our group out for dinner with him and his wife, but only a couple of us could go due to last trains, work, etc.
I really just wanted to post that photo because he looks so great!
Those pinchers of peril are a fan-made prop but the jacket is one of two that were used during production of The Goonies.
