Sayata and Maachun have a date.
I dont even know if Miyuki will get mad if she founds out. Lol
That's probably the bigger thing entering into the mess.
Chapter 7“The building is on the market. Sell everything. We need to find a new spot. Everything is on the line for now.”
Miyuki ventured between the bedroom and the nearby inlet where she held stuff, emptying it out for the new office space. She was weary to work from home but the other issue was on her mind when she heard a ring from her phone. “Hello?”
“The house is on the market?” The voice asked.
“We are going to be placing it onto the market and making a new office slash living space in the city.” Miyuki explained her intentions with the lump growing in her throat.
“Okay. Let’s get this thing rolling. How far are we looking at?” The voice asked again.
“Wherever we can gain a space.” Miyuki spat.
“I’ll get in contact with a broker and speak with them.”
Miyuki threw the phone onto the bed as the eyes stared from the end of the hallway as she quickly glanced away.
“Have some breakfast before you pass out.” Yuppi breathed. “I made pancakes.”
“Okay…”
The woman dropped the box onto the floor and followed the group down to the private room for the meal. She kept her lips pursed upon the stack of steaming piece in the middle as they congregated around them with the butter and honey to each side of the food. Miyuki took one with her attention back to the plate.
“Milky, don’t worry, we expected this to happen.” Kei broke the silence while everyone was grabbing their food.
“I see… just for now, we have to get the money out and invest into the new company. I’ve been trying to push for a censor on the media. Cleared out the schedule to work on the new reformation of the company.” She rattled on about the concern when her eyes peered up to the rest of the group eating. “You guys don’t seemed too concerned.”
“Again. We are all on board with your moves.” Akarin added. “We wouldn’t have to go against you.”
“I guess… anyways how was your friend, Sayata?” Miyuki asked, cutting into fluffy piece of cooked dough.
“She… I mean he was in good spirits.” He spoke when they all turned to him. “She was a friend…”
“You are not getting away with leaving us at that.” Yuppi gushed. “Details!”
Miyuki faded away from the conversation as the rest saw the opportunity to ask him every which question about hanging out with the friend. She hadn’t cared to know more about their personal lives although it had become a tenuous subject at times to prod into their privacy. She swallowed most of the pancakes whole as much as she had appreciated the woman’s cooking. The full flavor of butter in the pieces plus the slight sweetness she added was enough to compliment without the extra condiments beside it. She placed her utensils down and shot her vision to him.
“You went on a date?” Milky asked.
The sound of her voice silenced the rest as he firmly nodded. She felt the desert in her throat and gulped the water before turning back to him.
“You came back after the kiss and slept here?” Milky added.
Another nod came as she drew a smile. “Must be something good about you.”
“We are just friends and we knew each other since high school. I couldn’t bear doing what I did to her in high school.” Sayata explained when she lifted her hand up.
“My only question is why it didn’t go any further?” Milky thought before placing her plate into the sink. “Thanks for the meal.”
He watched her leave the room. Sayata didn’t have to say a word beyond what had happened but it was the seed that had been planted when Momoka shook her head and peeked out the door into the room. “Because he was trying to be a gentleman!”
She ran back inside when the rest started prod him again. Milky clenched her fist quickly. It was bad to hear about another person’s date but in the end, they chickened out. Milky on the other hand was normally wanting something from the deal. The date would end the next morning in the man’s bed. It was simple to portray that she had wanted it since the date when she became a legal adult. Media was over the fact that she had been linked with every known handsome person, married in some cases but those were simply meetings, not dates as they were being perceived.
Returning back to the room, she viewed the flashing red light. Biting upon her lip, she opened it to have one call as she read the name of the caller before ringing back as the deep vocal grunt escaped to the greeting. “Hello.”
“Oh? Watanabe Miyuki? This is Fujie Reina at your service. We have the house and the Watanabe building up for sale.” She answered in a high pitch. “I’m sorry for being nervous but this is the first time with a celebrity.”
“It’s fine. Come up to the house. We need to get around to discussing other issues I have.” Miyuki replied before hanging up and sent the information through text.
She connected the lamp and computer within the room and turned it on. Miyuki walked out when Kei proceeded with heavy steps towards the woman. Miyuki’s eyes swayed to the left when she felt her arm being grabbed.
“He isn’t a bad guy. Sayata has a lot of respect for women and he could have taken advantage of her since they were drunk. Maybe I sense that you want to find a deadly flaw.” Kei ranted, stepping up to the woman. “It maybe something awful after all of it but he’s been working to help us to help you.”
“I’m going to work.” Miyuki uttered.
Hearing Momoka’s voice, she headed into the room with the small desk and fold out chair in the corner. Miyuki rarely had reason for a guest bedroom and making it into the makeshift office brought out the space into a new development when she saw the female in a knee-length skirt and white-collared shirt meeting up with the woman in the pantsuit, greeting in the middle of the hallway and escorting her into the room which was comfy for the two, taking a seat across of her with the computer to the side.
“Fujie Reina. Nice to meet you.”
“Watanabe Miyuki, W enterprises.”
“Watanabe? Kentaro.” Reina muttered.
“That’s my father. What about him?” Miyuki narrowed her eyes.
“He was guest lecturer at one of my classes when dealing with real estate…” Reina explained. “I can’t believe I’m meeting his daughter.”
Miyuki swallowed the large load of the words and naturally smiled back. She always knew that if they talked about him, it was in a good light. They could never talk about anything else as much with her half-sister probably swimming in the money that he still made with his name. The bigger problem had been people undermining her ways of running the business. She knew it was the uphill battle to start with and righting the ship with him was the only thing he could do, although the censor wasn’t going to last long and getting the deal done was the first priority.
“Anyways, what do you have for places?” Miyuki asked.
“There’s a place within the city to quickly fix up…” Reina showed, having Miyuki closing the portfolio upon that one. “The other place is quite hard to obtain but it is doable.”
“The catch?” Miyuki quipped, moving her hand in a circular motion.
“The owner just died and was given to his daughter.” Reina sighed. “It would be some time to obtain the property…”
“I want to talk to the current owner and see where it goes.” Miyuki breathed out as Reina slid the paper towards her.
“Whenever it is possible, please get in contact with me immediately.” Reina stood, bowed, and walked out as she viewed the property upon the sheet.
“Sayata! We are going to do a viewing.” Miyuki ran out of the room and caught the echo of the hallway to the immediate attention of the driver in the large room.
She rushed down when she saw the male in his uniform and walked by him with the rest observing the situation. Sayata tailed the woman, bypassing her to the car as he opened the door to the vehicle. Following through on the protocol, he received the address onto the phone and planted it into the GPS before driving off the property. Miyuki sat back in the seat and thought about everyone talking about his date. The moment it came into her mind, she tried to block it out with the concept of the place. She grew certain that he probably had chosen someone in his league, maybe homely, could even be someone who was beyond the scope of beauty. Miyuki brushed back the hair as they got onto the main strip of road.
The area seemed further than expected when she glanced down at the address. She wanted to understand where the approach could be when she arrived, imaging the pitch for the area when the car jerked forward. She glanced out onto the property surrounded by two empty lots. Miyuki bit her lips upon getting information more from Reina about the location as Sayata pulled into the stall.
She stepped out onto the uneven gravel when the door opened to see a woman in a long, white dress shirt with a wide smile. Miyuki glared at her as she jogged up to her and extended her hand.
“You must be here for the property. Get out!” The woman growled. “It isn’t for sale.”
“Let me throw the pitch…” Miyuki spoke.
“No!”
She glanced to Sayata standing by the car when she pointed to him. “How about that he wanted to buy it?”
“Why would he want to buy it? He would have been here.” The woman growled.
“Sayata-sama. She really wants to talk to you.” Miyuki cooed as he turned and ran towards the two, giving a bow to her. “He’s the real person who wants to buy it.”
“Is that true?” The woman spoke in a softer tone.
“I guess… we are… Saya… SayaMilky Corp, Inc.” Sayata murmured. “We want to buy the property for a living space.”
“It’s pretty big and we can share… Sharing is caring right?” Miyuki added.
The woman scanned the two when she let out a smile. “Sixty forty.”
Miyuki opened her mouth, letting the air escape when Sayata stepped in before the words slipped causally out. He saw something about her when the other woman peeked out from the door. Waving towards her, she stepped out with the white dress that flowed with the gentle wind. Her dimpled smile was magical in his eyes when he turned back to Miyuki.
“How about we tell them the truth?” He asked.
“You think we can achieve a bigger role?” Miyuki questioned.
“They are obviously want to be included on the property. It is six floors.” Sayata pointed out when she moved her head slowly.
Miyuki hated it as much as she should with the negotiations out of her hands. She didn’t want to let Sayata take over but the two were entranced by his style and she had thought at worse he was proposing a date. She threw it into the back of her mind that Sayata would go low to get the property when they nodded towards him and shook hands with each of them. He walked back to the woman with a wide grin when she lowered her head.
“They wanted a floor for themselves. Miru and Fuuko are a couple and Fuuko had moved here after Miru’s father passed away. They didn’t want to give up the property with the loan upon it. I told them we got them jobs to work off their end while we can move into the property to develop what your plans may be.”
The explanation was enough to agree. It was their place or the other one she hadn’t liked in the first round. Sayata had closed a deal that probably would have been a begging game from her. Miyuki walked up and shook their hands before entering the car. He got their numbers and ran back to the driver’s seat and drove off with the opportunity to create a clean start with two new potential workers.
