I went watching Iron Man yesterday, and if  my calculations are correct, it was my 50th movie this year, so I officially beat the challenge! :D

I guess at this rate I'll end up something like 120 movies this year, so I'll try if I can make it 150.

Kinda jumping the gun here but it's the 30th and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to watch anything tomorrow.

I didn't watch as many movies this month as any of the others. On the other hand damn near every film I saw was great. Especially Graveyard Of Honor, and The City of Violence, and Seventeen Years, and Trigger Man, and Karaoke Terror: The Complete Japanese Showa Songbook (film of the month). In fact the only bad film I saw was Party 7.

i thought city of violence's only redeemable quality was its fight scenes, which i admit were pretty awesome, esp the last sequence (like the last 20 minutes of the movie), otherwise i found it pretty run-of-the-mill

It was run of the mill. But I was expecting it to be actually bad, so I got pleasantly surprised when it was actually kinda good.

I finally watched Lust, Caution. XD

Too bad the sex was so violent and unpleasant, otherwise I would've been flooding the house with drool. ;_; Instead it was like :mon scare:

The storyline was good though :O Since there has been so much talk about the sex scenes, I thought it would be mostly about that. But no. XD And the girl who played the lead role was sooo pretty. Can't believe she was a newcomer. Such good acting. STUFF

I'm still soooooo far away from reaching 50!!

Well I actually watched two more movies yesterday bringing my monthly total up to 16. One of those movies (A Dirty Carnival) was really very good, and the other movie (Storm) was pretty bad.

Putting movies of May in order is gonna be difficult, since I watched many classics that I haven't seen before, such as Reservoir Dogs, The Last Emperor, Deer Hunter and The Shawshank Redemption. Eventhough some new films I went watching at the theatre were good in their own way, they can't compete with the classics.

Anyway, The Shawshank Redemption, is my best of May. Eventhough the Finnish title kinda spoils the whole movie.

Hmm, favorite of May for me is probably Iron Man, followed by Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

is the machine girl a Japanese flick? or is it french or soemthign cause I think it's this movie I saw but under a different title, and the baddie in it was also called "the machine girl" or something like that so I was wandering.. the one I watched was called "Fragile" and was pretty damn good... I hear Orphanage was also great... oh crap, I forgot to add "IT" to my list! oh well

hey btw, who is in the lead now? and how many people have passed the 50 movie challenge so far? I'm up to 60something... or soon 70 I think... but has anyone else? Cause I'd be a bit embarassed if I was like in the lead... all blushing in my schoolgirly way XD

but it would be pretty awesome. Anyway.

I believe this post answers your question:

So I don't think you need to be worried about being in the lead anytime soon XD

ooooho I love Zooey Deschanel! She was great in almost famous but my fave of her movies is a tie between Eulogy and Hitchikers guide to the galaxy. I didn't like this one movie she was in but she's just so cool and has this average person but also rocker air about her y'know? Plus I love her eyes!

You should watch All the Real Girls. Her best role imo. And a good movie.
