That was a very nice episode.....I enjoy seeing the girls forming teams and accomplishing tasks that they may not have thought
they were capable of doing. Kaoru is doing a nice job of being a leader as well.

I like Anna, but it was kinda disappointing seeing her act like the way she did in this episode.  I know she was having a tough time, but those moments of her showing total disregard towards the Kyuudou students' and teacher's instructions were a bit tough to watch.  She seemed like she might have gotten over it towards the end, though.

She's acting like a 16-year-old. Oh wait, she is 16-year-old  :nervous

I was unable to understand from watching the clip what it was that was upsetting Anna. She has shown in the past that she is one of the girls that is pretty emotional, and will cry fairly easily. But what was it that upset her?

Hope we find out more, but yeah, I agree Anna is a mid teenager (easily emotional), and including her responses was a good thing, because these are idols we are able to get to know, right?

Kyuudou doujou was pretty much going off the normal script by allowing a television show and idols to join in their activities, so I thought the sensei was cool to have the doujou take part in the show.

Okay girls, let's get everything out
so we can finish taping the show!

Hopefully this'll help provide some insight:

Kyuudou is a martial art.  Since it's a martial art, it means there are a lot of rules that you have to follow, and you have to do everything a specific way, regardless as to whether it makes sense or not.  You'll see that Anna was first shocked by how they reply at the very beginning.  The loud voices, as the sensei explained, are required because of potential accidents that could occur.  By yelling, they are able to make sure that they're properly heard and let everyone around them know what's going.  Just like all Japanese martial arts, you start out doing the real boring work.  None of the members enjoyed always being told how to move things, how to properly reply, how to sit, being told they need to hurry up, do it properly and so on.  The manual labor started to really get to Anna, and she basically lost all will to continue participating during the scene where they had to check out where the arrows hit.  After that scene, the other members were talking to her, saying how they felt bad for her.  She said she simply couldn't do it and was getting scolded because of it.  They offered to help her practice, but she said she didn't want to.  That's when she started crying.  One of the kyuudou members mentioned that this is how all new members are treated, and she knows that it's a lot of hard work but to try to hang in there.

To be honest, I thought they were fairly relaxed about everything compared to what I've normally seen in actual dojos.  :nervous  She just couldn't take it anymore.  Don't get me wrong, I realize that she's young and is an idol who isn't used to that kind of stuff.  It was just a bit uncomfortable to watch that scene where they keep trying to tell her how to properly do it and she quits trying.

Code001 san, thanks for the explanation. It did seem that Anna was just saying  " f_ _k this s_ _t,   I ain't doing it anymore!!" , which is unusual when idols have to try something that is difficult and outside of their experience. They usually cry, but somehow the shows try to pull a win out of it, with some kind of baka jokes or a 'worst student' award, but full of laughs and giggles.

And I think of many martial arts, Kyuudou is very rigourous in enforcing beginners have to take it slow.....had a friend who started it, and was sorely dissapointed after several weeks that there was still never a chance to shoot an arrow......but that is typical of the discipline of martial arts. Always start with the basics, such as how to enter the doujou, do the proper greeting, keep the place clean, etc.........

I remember another show where a few girls had to spend a day at an international pre-school somewhere in Tokyo area, and the rule was the girls had to not use Japanese but say everything in English. If they used Japanese, all the little kids would say "No Japanese!!"

The show was going okay, but it was clear from the beginning that Kana Kobayashi was not comfortable at all, and  it became apparent that she gave up on using trying to use English because it was not her thing to begin with and getting screamed at by a bunch of little kids was not her cup of tea.

The foreign lady who ran the school starting subtly picking on Kana, treating her a bit like a pre-schooler, and I thought violence was going to erupt in the classroom. Kana did not like the blech meal that they served the kids, so she quit eating it, and teacher told her she had to finish her meal, in a gratingly irritating and condenscending manner.

It seemed like Kana was about to pick up the plate and grind the food in the teacher's face for a minute there, but somehow she maintained control.

Although a little surprise violence would have been fun to watch, the kids might have been a bit shocked, so credit to Kana for keeping it under control (just barely).

I guess once they have a team of girls picked for an episode, it is pretty hard to stop what you are doing, call up the head office and say : "uhh Akimoto sensei, it 's not working out with Anna....Yeah, I know she wore the kyuudou uniform for the Janken tournament, but she seriously is being a Debbie Downer right now. Oh, Debbie Downer, no that's not a porn star, it is just an expression I learned when I was at university in the states, it means like someone is bringing the whole group down....So anyway, could you send over Akimoto Sayaka, she likes trying sports, or some really chibi newbie who is so small she can't hold the arrow, we could play that up for shits and giggles!!"

I hope Anna gets her mojo back in her next filmed event.....

That turned out well......Anna recovered most of her mojo, and all the girls had a chance to have lunch together. Would have been cool if the AKB48 team could have taught  the song and dance for Aitakatta to the Kyuudou maidens............Sensei was pretty cool with the girls....
Good show!

Finally caught up:

- Eps 1 + 2: Another survival camp. None of these girls really peak my interest, so I had trouble maintaining focus tbh. The fact that Kaoru has announced her graduation gave these episodes a bitter after taste as well.
- Eps 3 + 4: I think the girls line-up saved it. There were various funny moments, most of which Karen related. Wakanyan once again confirmed for Kasai's successor. lol
- Ep 5: This was pretty funny and interesting! Wakanyan and Kawaei eating a tomato is more entertaining that I could have ever imagined. lol
- Ep 6: Aw yeah, Morikawa's back and Natori's becoming a regular. Morikawa's pretty sporty, but she may lack strength for this. Just noticed Natori has a small lip mole. Props to Fujita for apologizing to Natori for making fun of her for failing at that sweeping assignment. lol, Suzuran should have kept her mouth shut about that insect haha.

The reason I decided to watch this season was to see what all the Anna comments were about. She seemed really bumped out from an early stage. I gotta admit I was quite surprised at her expressions and body language. After she let it all out (tears) she seemed better again, she even apologized to that student. So yeah, idk. She might have had an off-day. Anna's a difficult nut to crack. I'm still undecided about her.

Nemousu Season 3 IIRC (maybe 2). I think it's the infamous episode where a balloon exploded in Kana's face
