Discuss & learn about Ainori, the cutest reality show ever!
Ainori is a reality program where seven young men and women travel the world riding a pink bus. The program is reminiscent of a travelogue; as of September 2007, the show has followed the bus across 79 countries (now 85) as participants explore both famous tourist attractions and more off-the-beaten-path places. The participants are led across each country by a native who serves as tour guide, bus driver, and friend. Upon reaching the border with another country, the bus stops and participants head out to their next destination country to meet their new tour guide and get into their new bus.
The show's twist is that the participants are each young, single people whose goal is to find love with another participant and return to Japan as a couple. When a participant has decided they like someone else, they ask the driver for a ticket back to Japan. They then declare their love to the object of their affection, and ask that the two return to Japan together. After a night's consideration, the person who received the love declaration can either answer with a kiss, after which both participants leave the bus for Japan. Otherwise, the jilted participant is left to return to Japan alone. Besides the love declaration, participants are forbidden from talking openly about their love interests with other participants, but inform the TV audience of their feelings through diaries and confessions to the camera (shot when no other participants are present).
After people leave the bus, new people are added to the program, to keep the total at 7 members. They are seen on the side of the road with a painted cardboard sign (appearing to be hitchhikers) and brought aboard after a self-introduction.

Ainori is so addictive! I've watched episodes 369-381 so far and I'm loving it. The show's edited so that you can't wait to see the next episode, and all the participants are so cute and seem so genuine. And it's surprising how much emotion there can be on this show, I've laughed and cried while watching it *lol @ me*

I watched the show years ago, in 2005 or so when the show had a subber and a blogger covering episodes in english. When the subbers stopped, my interest waned. Just recently, I realized the people were subbing the show again and now I'm hooked once more.
It's a fun reality/romance/travel show with the Japanese twists and cute chicks. So go leech an episode and see what you think. :P

I watch the show for 3 years now (started watching around ep.270), but lately I have this feeling all the made up drama is getting worse and worse, I don't remember it being so artificial in the past, if it goes on like this I don't know how long I'm gonna keep watching.
That reminds me, I still gotta watch the latest episode.
btw for latest episodes check d-addicts, it's uploaded there every week, also someone started uploading old episodes in batches, newest and some old episodes are also available on veoh (though I have no idea why the newest one won't dl for me)

I remember watching my first episode while visiting Japan (I sure wasted a lot of time with the hotel TV).
In that episode one guy and girl had left the group, sat down and were just chatting sweetly. It was a really nice atmosphere.
And then a rainbow suddenly showed up! It was like a small miracle saying they were made for each other. :wub:
I even went to Fuji TV Station and bought the show's stationary to give to a girl I liked at the time (kinda chuckling in my mind, knowing she'd never know what this stuff's origin was from).

Watched it for 1 full year in 2005 when i was there. Really like Hide's personality and at last he was together with the girl he loved after coming back to Japan.

The thing I love about the show is how you'll never get lost since it always summaries what happened between who. And the fact that Hisamoto makes it more entertaining with all her hilarious comments in the background.

I just started watching Ainori at ep 384 yesterday and now I'm going to watch #391 :lol:
Quiet addictive and sad sometimes D: and whoo even educating.

hey this show. They showed it on tv here for years (don't know if they still do), I tried watching it a few times, but without subs I couldn't get into it, and after I actually learned japanese I forgot all about it.
Maybe I'll give it a try again since lots of people seam to really like it, and I seem to really enjoy reality shows like this.

My favorite character is so far Momo, even if she's not as beautiful as Remi, or not funny like Kuro, she has that little thing that i like in her.
And btw BON BON NARU WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

only watched the first two episodes that stryfe upped, but it's turning out pretty good so far, and it looks like the real drama is about to start.
I also find the pro-japan stuff in the ep. 370 hilarious. :lol:

This sounded like a really good show, so I watched some episodes. I like how the hosts discuss the happenings between the people that are travelling and was also surprised that the Meringue no Kimochi-woman is also hosting this. I find this show highly enjoyable so I'll keep on watching :)

I'm aware that 369 onwards has been subbed by the current guy, what other ep's were subbed? I want more Gura-san! He was such a nice guy and I really wanted Kuu to accept, The Taiwanese fans were hilarious!

Wow, I haven't watched Ainori in like three month, I'm in the process of catching up right now.
Just watched episodes 407-410 (the Miya-kunXMomoXKuro drama) and damn I was crying my little heart out and now Kuro is about to confess, too!

I've been catching up with Ainori!!! I'm now seen up to 415 I think...
Miya-kun's confession had me bawling my eyes out, especially the letter, cuz you could tell that he was 100% genuine... :3
Kuro's one of my all-time favourites on Ainori: so funny, sweet and friendly with a heart of gold... I truly wish her all the best in life ^__^ (Another person I really liked was Carbonara. He would fit in at jph!p :lol: )

I love this show!! I even translated a few episodes on D-Addicts ^^
I've been watching the show for a while, and it's so good. Although there's a few shody episodes now and then, it rarely feels old.
I'm rooting for momo at the moment, she's so cute <3

AINORI IS AWESOME! BEST REALITY SHOW EVER!!! BEATS ANY OTHER REALITY SHOW I'VE SEEN IN THE USA.
I'd only been watching since yesterday starting with episode #369 (08-06-2007) and it's been great so far. know I'm trying to catch up, but I would love it if I could also watch the older episode, engsubbed. Is there anywhere I could watch it?

Another catching up marathon for me, I don't know why I can't watch Ainori weekly when the episodes air, I just dl and forget about them or don't find the time to watch.
But wtf was all that crap in Nov./Dec with this wannabe psychologist/doctor and studio guests, I hope this doesn't continue in the new year.
Right now I'm watching the newest ep.432, no studio guests and doctors so far but lots of Yamaji :heart:
She's da bomb, I love that girl to bits haha.
Too bad there will be probably no more subs, but that hasn't stopped me from watching before.

I started from watching episode 369, thanks to the uploads from the Asshole thread and d-addicts torrents, and been hooked ever since up till the last ending episode, 441. sad that's it's ended. I still haven't watched from ep 420s and up. been waiting for the subs before and now waiting for the last couple of subs, so I might as well wait until then to finish it. but just now I'd been watching from episode 369 over again. Everytime I start watching it again, since I'd seem so hooked to this show, I really want to watch any and all of the old episodes. I downloaded vast torrents on d-addicts.com and so far got episode 185-276 and 279. still missing a huge chunk, so I'm looking for ep 1-184, 231, 277-278, 280-368...... basically. RAW, english sub, either way, I want them all.
soo.... where can I find them other than D-addicts.com since most of the one I don't have aren't seeded...

Just watching ep.440 again, this time with subs, yep I kept it for the whole time in hopes there would be subs eventually and now there are.
Maybe in a year or so there will be subs for the finale, too. XD
Apparently there will be a new run of the show starting Dec 25th!!!!

Just watched the finale of the original Ainori with subs. I knew it would eventually come to this day and kept that file for so long XD

I've seen the first 2 episodes of Ainori 2 :D OMG I still love this show so much. It would be PERFECT without the "new rule" :/ I guess you'll find out what it is, so I won't spoil if someone doesn't want to know
But yeah, nearly perfect show, I love it. Always makes me emotional haha, not gonna lie!
A HUGE IMPROVEMENT from the first Ainori: they've completely removed the useless studio segments, at least so far! No more pointless commentary from random Japanese celebs, just pure business. So good.

WTF!!! Yamaji's Revenge XD this will be hilarious, I really like that girl, good to see her back!
The guys reactions LOL, I only hope she will be on the show for a while, if they vote her off at the first opportunity I'll be pissed.
Would be cool if they brought back some others too, I'd love to see Kuro or Yankumi back :)
The new rule sounds reasonable, but I hope there will be still enough time to get to know the members between the new member inputs and romances won't be forced too much to get the show moving.
Also Final Fantasy Music playing as BGM!
I always loved the techno music they use on the show.
