It all starts when Pour Lui decided to have her own idol group and stop her indie idol activities for a while (she released several singles and have her own YT channel)


BiS made their debut back in December 2010 and they already have one full album

This is one crazy idol group but that's what makes them kind of interesting.

yeah UK Yukiki... but why? well she feels that the group is no longer what she wants, from what i read (via google translator) she plans to keep doing music but i guess she doesn't want to keep being an idol... something like that, translator isn't very trustable.

Pour Liu and Yukiko was so gangsta... but imo the "weirdest" in that group is Nozomi (the honest girl) xD how to say it... is like she doesn't fit in the group but for that reason she fits... lol i can't explain it

UK is my second favourite so it's sad to see her go. :( I am glad she was honest saying she wants to leave because the direction BiS is going isn't what she likes now, it's better than making up an excuse.

I love Non-chan! I've tweeted with her a couple of times, yesterday she thanked me for tweeting with her often and is happy that she's my favourite. Plus she told me she loved me too :wub: lol ;___;

As far as I remember, Becky hosts Happy Music which has a different logo. Maybe they changed it. :P

After Shura kept pimping them I decided to DL their My Ixxx single.

I have hugely mixed feelings about this group...
- My Ixxx is pretty cool. Nice tempo, mixed with some melodic guitar passages.
- Magnolia is one of the worst songs I have ever heard  :lol:
- Animal is one of the most epic idol songs I have ever heard. That solo wouldn't be out of place in many established metal bands. ...Despite the corny Beethoven part, haha. After the solo you get some intense keyboards as well. It's a really interesting mix.
- Split Brain Syndrome is pretty standard and somewhat similar to the first track.

Overall I dig their sound. For an idol unit everything is pretty up tempo and at times even pretty heavy and dramatic. I'll be keeping an eye on them for sure. They offer something different than the other idol groups out there.

Oh so they are going for an open audition. I thought they might hand pick a girl by talking to some agencies but then again this is a better way to do it.

Having listened to both the album and My Ixxx single, they have some room for improvement, that's for sure, but both are pretty solid.

girls are doing auditions for new members and are broadcasting live at ustream  http://ustre.am/uTMC/1 (http://ustre.am/uTMC/1)  ... well actually the caera is just focused on Yuu and the sound is muted so you can see anything else than her (which isn't bad at all sine she is a pretty girl) so maybe not the most interesting stream ever

I was disappointed that they turned off the microphone when the audition started, but at least they spent a good 20 minutes or so talking to fans on ustream.  :)

The manager tweeted that one of the autionees is a newhalf, I hope she gets in! Someone tweeted Yufu, "I thought boys aren't allowed to audition?" and Yufu replied, "Newhalfs are OK (*^^*)"

word, is like a big joke but i just hope they don't over do this and release it as a single or some shit lol... but you know, i listened twice already and they tried hard to make it sound as the most cliche idols song ever, even the PV with the dance and all the stuff going on... obviously they did it for the lolz but also no doubt they worked it hard

Yeah, I doubt it will be a single though I wouldn't rule out it being a b-side or a bonus album track.

It kind of makes you wonder if this is the direction Yukiko was against.

Watanabe has been the mastermind behind their unique concepts since their formation. He was in tears when he announced his decision in front of the fans. This decision probably has to do with group’s reorganization towards a more ‘normal’ concept with the release of “IDOL”, since he mentioned that people will understand it after watching the PV.

After this announcement, the girls finally performed “IDOL” in typical idol costumes, which still has yet to sink in with some of their fans.

At the end of the concert, the girls commented that they are sad about Watanabe’s announcement, but at the same time they reassured their fans that this won’t be the end of BiS and asked them to continue with their support. On their blog they wrote, “All we can do is move forward and we hope you’ll watch over us on the way.”

On April 15th, the group will be holding another concert to celebrate the release of “IDOL”, and also announce their new member.

i still don't consider "IDOL" as a real single but more like a practica ljoke... at least i hope is somehting like that and they return to their previous concept that is more rockish... guess isn't too mainstream but yeah i like it more.

also what about momoiro clover surprise attack? last thing i knew is they went to perform in the waiting line for that group concert but not sure what "surprise attack" means

Yeah, I don't know what they meant by that "attack" but they did reference that once before at least as "an attempted ’surprise attack’ against Momoiro Clover Z".
Maybe they tried pulling a prank of sorts. :P

As for "IDOL", I agree with you, I think of it more as a joke but the change in management is surprisingly coincidental.

yeah.. BiS gained 2 new members and are signed to avex trax now and will release their major debut single..

when the fake pv for 'IDOL' came out I didn't like it because it was different for BiS but at the same time, I wasn't too bothered by it since BiS is after all a silly group who don't take themselves seriously

Avex huh? Yeah, I share your concern even if I think they will probably be marketed as a rebel idol group. Also, they're style will probably be diluted but that is what usually happens when going mainstream.

Will Nozomi and pour lui hold out? Don't know, but I guess we could all see this coming sooner or later.

their album debuted at 19th in daily ranking and ended 30th in weekly ranking. one position above PPCC.  :thumbsup

I think with a little more marketing effort by Avex they can achieve the top 20 soon enough, potential is there. and if people didn`t buy their album yet, HURRY UP AND DO IT, DAMMIT!  ;) it`s awesome, specially the version that comes with the movie "idol is dead". the movie is like a combination of several japanese "B movies" with some mock in the idols thing. lots of blood and Pour Lui kicking ass.  :wub:

but I admit I was expecting something different. in their website they described the incoming single as a emotional rock tune (add the fact the man behing it was Beat Crusader`s front man), so I was expecting an emocore or something along these lines. turns up it is a kick ass loud song, more like a Cantoy tune. I approve it.  :twothumbs and the clip is... BiS. simple as that. they already revisited the nude thing in Ash and now the scars thing from primal. is taken back and improved. I would love to see them performing with this characterization on tv.

the thing I was fearing happened. WAKI IS GRADUATING.  :cry: the problem with her leg that made her loose several concerts and events and hadn't get better through these past weeks is the cause. she decided to put an ending in this and graduate and focus on her studies. she reveals that the problem didn't start with that marathon thing (music clip of hitoribocchi) though, it was tormenting her since a dance festival in her college and seems to be only getting worst as time goes by. the marathon thing only accentuated a pr-existing problem. poor Waki. I'll miss her. she added a different personality to the group...

her last performance will be at Kokugikan in the tour final. the covers for the BiSimulation single are already out and one of them will be in homage to her.

damn, I totally forgot to post here... the big concert at Kokugikan last week, the last performance of Waki with the group was really cool, despite having less than half the capacity of the place. (well, expect more than that was too pretentious...) they announced that soon they`ll be doing another audition to find a substitute. now that the group is more known and has a big recording label behind, I`m pretty confident they`ll find a nice addition.  :)

Saki Kamiya, a girl that likes animes, cosplay, idols... in her now defunct blog there were some photos of her with idols... even with the BiS girls!

Tenko Ten, a sweet girl from Hokkaido that took her stage name from a Taiwanese movie. she likes B horror movies, zombies, lots of blood and stuff. she used to make solo appearances at Dear Stage (that famous bar where Denpa Gumi.inc was created)

Uika First Summer, the oldest in the group now. she likes witchcraft and seems to be the more talkative of them.


maybe not the most attractive girls but definitely girls that fit the BiS image and proposal. I like it.  :)

Tenten is undoubtedly the one who shows off more. she is a pro, guys. it was in the Yatsui Festival and I saw Denpa and Up Up Girls, too. and I rofl'd when I saw some guys in 2ch commenting surprised that there was a BiS fan (me) jumping with the Up Up wotas.  :lol:

I wish I could give that video 100 likes. Considering there are literally hundreds of idol groups I wish there was at least one devoted to ska. That would immediately separate them from the pack.

maybe there is one already but we are not aware... there are so many "local idols" spread all over the country, most of the groups with no video on youtube or even an official website...

I dunno, I kinda dig it. As far as noisecore goes I think this is the most pleasing thing my ears have heard.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with the rest of the tracks. I'll probably pick up the EP too.

I think this latest video is a cover of a song from the 80s by Jun Togawa. It seems kind of fitting for BiS to do a cover of one of her songs since early in her career she claimed to be an idol singer but used to do all kinds of bat sh!t crazy stuff an idol singer wouldn't do... kind of like BiS.

I earlier said (in another thread) that I lost motivation to continue following BiS and that their next one-man (September 1st) would be decisive to find if I should or not continue with this.

now, there`s no more need for it. already found the answer. I could stand UK`s departure... Waki... Yuffie... but now Mitchel?! that`s too much. Pour Lui can go turn this into a creepier fiesta cuz it`s none of my business anymore. it`s not funny as in the past, for me and for the girls, that are leaving one after another. maybe this time it`s not related to her ego, at least.  :roll:

the problem is that the group is not as it once was.

the fanbase is different. (worse)
the members are different. (worse too. ok, this can be very subjective and personal, but although Tenten is such a fascinating girl, I think that the members gone brought more to the table)
the music is different. (the only point I think that hadn`t decrease. they continue making very good songs, imo. but I`m biased to begin with, since I`ve been a pop-punk fan for longer than an idol fan)
and last but not the least, their "essence" (or should I call purpose) is different. the group was created to be a provocative idol group that pushes further than others ("others" aka Passpo, as once Pour Lui said in an interview that was one of her inspirations). now I just can`t see an idol group anymore, to begin with. they turned into a borderline idol act (like hy4_4yh), that uses some idol antics but is not part of the sub-culture. (I think this part of my post will turn very tricky... maybe it`s understandable. trying to make this concept a little more visible, just look at how they nowadays make more shows along rock groups than idol stunts)

I haven't followed them closely enough to know their members, but I wanna give them props for doing something different.

I thought DiE and Mura were both excellent songs. The noise core one is a tad too extreme for me, but it's been a while since I heard something like it.

So yeah, sucks to hear the line-up's been undergoing so many changes.

Yup, that's the new PV for "Hi". Doing the live performance shot concept is pretty cool, especially when the crowd is so into it like BiS crowds tend to be.

Really digging the song too. I'm pretty happy they've eased back on the heavy metal and screaming they were going with for a while there. These kinds of songs are great too.

"primal.2"??? "puraimaru."??? really, their creativity is just astounding.  :lol: thanks to this eiga version I won't need to go to the cinema in order to watch "idol is dead 2". nice, my wallet thanks you. I'm dying to see this one since Yufu and Mitchel are still in it.

on a side note, the rumours about the group dissolution were right, ahn? well, this is sad. despite all the problems, all their antics that sometimes don't appeal to most people... BiS will be missed. they marked an era.

pour lui - vocalist of the band Lui Frontic Matsukuma Japan.
nonchan and uipon - together in the Billie Idle project. they'll be doing stages, comical acts and other sort of things (non-idol). manager JunJun will work with them.
tenten - back to her solo artist career (at Dear Stage, primarily) as DJ Tentenko.
megumon - member of the new group Book House Girl Kakkokari, produced by the former Izukoneko producer. probably a new idol group to start around next month.
saki - member of the new idol duo Pla2me, that debuted last week at TIF. she is together with Mari, former Izukoneko. this is the most promising and interesting one, imo. saw them there and their first two songs are quite good.

Dang it, I just heard about this group the other day and now they've disbanded. And just as I was about to jump back on the jpop bandwagon again. :smhid I found them while searching about another group, FEMM (Far East Mention Mannequins) <<why are they not posted about on this forum??? Anyway, I think my favorite BiS song by far is their first single "My Ixxx" there's something weirdly ethereal about it. haha And surprisingly the PV didn't shock me at all. So I ended up watching all their PVs yesterday and thought "Damn, I missed out." Their gimmick is shocking, and at times laughable as they take jabs at the idol pop genre. But they did have some decent songs.  I am strangely drawn to Hirano Nozomi who surprised me as being the only other original member other than Pour Rui. She looks like she could be Kamei Eri's frumpy little sister. Her looks, mannerisms and her singing sometimes reminded me of Eri, and she was also known as the "my pace" member which also attributed to Eri. XD  She doesn't strike me as someone who would prance around naked, screaming, and doing all these crazy things.

But yeah, so much for that. I'll still check them out. Them and FEMM have renewed my interest in jpop.  :twothumbs

Pre-ordered the DVD, but I might change it to the Blu-Ray seeing as there's more footage...

That clip of the guy getting taken away near the end was pretty realistic of how things were at Yokohama Arena. People were getting pretty crazy! I saw a guy jumping into/trying to mosh with one of the security guards when he was trying to get a bunch of fans to stop running back and forth along the second level walkways.

Also, when Pour Lui thanks the crowd at the end of the video, that was pretty much the only thing any of them said during the entire concert. It was 3 and a half hours of almost non-stop songs! They took a 3-minute break in the middle and that was it.

Apparently, their manager did naked stage diving at the "former BiS" one-man live the day after the breakup concert.

I wasn't super into them while the whole "Road to Budokan" thing was going on, so I don't know how they ended up at that venue. Yokohama Arena is bigger (and nicer) than Budokan. I guess the prestige is in Budokan being this place with lots of history though. It wasn't sold out, and this was with them having 1 yen and 2,000 yen tickets on sale the day of the concert. I think the ppl in the arena seating paid 6,000 yen and the ones way in the front (moshing, etc. ok) paid like 30,000 yen. It was weird.

It's a good thing it wasn't sold out too. I had to move seats because the guy in front of me smelled like hot boiled garbage,the ppl on the left of me were doing wotagei pretty vigorously despite the narrow steep balcony seats, and the ppl on my right were just sitting there.

Well it's not BiS but the individual artists, but I assume we'll see a "nerve" encore with all of them but I doubt we'll see more than that

I kinda wonder why Rinahamu and UK (Morphine Tokyo) aren't invited as well since they are still active, UK did post stuff on twitter that she wanted to do it.

as Rezar already said, it`s not a proper reunion of the old group. that would never happen since Yuffie and Pour Lui don`t get along well.

not only Yuffie but UK (morphine tokyo) and Rinahamu (bpm15q) aren`t taking part of it so, at least in my view, that`s NOT the real old BiS who will be there.  :smhid

edit: oh yeah Waki and Mitchel are not active as idols anymore but still, if they were to make it properly, they should appear too at least as guests in the MCs.

It's hard to tell, I think the idea was to go out at their peak or something, I definitely think they could have waited.

Wasn't a big fan of the style so I hope her next project will be more in my taste because I like her :)

Hmmm, so I bought the new Billie Idle CD today and an old BiS single "Fly High" (bought it for the live dvd) and I looked inside the Billie Idle cover

I have 3 things left to get from Bis. The Fly hi CD+DVD you got, the final Yokohama concert (which is very pricy) and the uryaoi compilation, again ridiculously expensive. Hopefully those last two will go down in price at some point.

Not sure what to think here. The group was notorious for pulling stunts. Would be very cool if any of it would be true.

But you don't think that sounds like BiS? That voice along with the heavy-melodic music... I think it sounds very close.

This makes me happy. Would be cool if they tried to get as many of the former members as they could. Wow... Never thought I'd see the day something like this would happen.

I heard the other group is called SiS and produced by the Especia producer.

let me see if I get it. Pour Lui once again failed at achieving money from her solo works, so she decided to unite with JunJun one more time and return being an idol. the dead comes to life again and BiS returns. but isn`t BiSh the 'new BiS' already? whatever.

trying harder than ever in their stupid gimmicks to attract some attention, they decide to make a 'rival group' (this is so 2011... nogizaka46...) and create stupid names for the members. like really stupid, way worse than before (from tentenko to kika front frontal... it`s all downhill from here...).

the SiS members who rushed the stage were Michihayashi Rio aka "Paripi" (Party People), Terayama Yufu, and Hirano Nozomu (aka Nobita) so no Second Summer or Tsuttsu or Bug Me yet? They'll have their debut live on 9/25. If they're going forward as a trio, I have almost no interest in them, more so with Especia staff behind them.

At least Shelter can hold more than 70 people? Heavysick is ridiculously small!
