People in the Kamen Rider universe have it easy. In the sentai universe, with all the exploding buildings and the damned giant monsters, can you just imagine the death toll???

When I saw GekiTouja Wolf with GekiFire in the preview, I was thinking that Jan and Retsu were going to lend their GekiBeasts to Gou... and not that Gou was going to SUMMON THEM HIMSELF BECAUSE THAT'S HOW BADASS HIS SHIGEKI IS~ lol... But honestly, I haven't been impressed by GekiViolet in the past two episodes. He's not as flashy as Super Geki Mode, with the sexy white costumes and the vernier boosters

. But I guess the writers are giving Gou as many powers as possible to show that he's on the same level with kageki. I was surprised that we'd see a power up with the beginning cast before getting the new ranger... maybe Gou will get a power up in the future~ Oh man, Super GekiViolet would =

Maybe, but I watched ep 7 of Ryuki last night, and was really feeling put off by the quality of the encode and subs.
Names were just screwed up, I mean how the hell can "Ren" be put as "Lian", thats just fucked up.
I do want to continue watching Ryuki, so I might continue to do so.

The HK subs for Abaranger, though, are complete trash, as is the encode quality, using wmv trash of all things.
After watching the first ep done by HK, I'm better off finding raws for Abaranger instead.

Pretty much, I intend to avoid anything else that HK has done, what they do is pure junk.

I watched "Kamen Rider The First" for the second time today and, I gotta say, I think it's even worse the second time. The fight scenes are good and the motorcycle stunts are engaging. But the drama is sappy and drags things down. And the insipid side tale of the WaT dude and his girly girlfriend does a disservice to the Kamen Rider legacy.

Some other thoughts:

-- What happened to Ichimonji's blood rejections? Did he just take longer than Hongo did to revert back to normalcy?
-- I thought kaizoningens can't cavort with humans so why does Hongo still think he has a chance with the intrepid reporter?
-- So is Ichimonji the same guy as the reporter's fiancee? Did he get reborn with a new name as well as becoming a "Hopper"?
-- Are there two more unlikely and unrealistic Shocker members than Eiji Wentz and the girly girl? And how come THEY didn't blow up after getting Rider-kicked? Come on!
-- Does anyone REALLY think Issa of Da Pump could/would be a top officer in the Shocker hierarchy, even if he could pull off the butterfly twist? And who's the chick?

Hongo didn't really revert to "normalcy". He, for some reason, was just lucky enough that when he was turned into a Kaizo-ningen the process went well enough that he didn't get the rejections.

Whether Hongo thought he had a chance with her or not, or whether kaizo-ningens can have sex, he was still head over heels for her.

Yes, he is the same guy. When he was made into a kaizo-ningen, he was brainwashed, and the personality of the fiancee was basically eliminated and a new personality (Ichimonji) took over. For some reason, Hongo was able to regain his original personality, which is what lead him to break away from Shocker.

Probably artistic licence. Wentz and GF had their own little tragic love story that needed to resolve. Couldn't very well do that if they blew up. Plus I'm pretty sure that they were both under 20 at the time the movie was made, so having "kids" blow up probably wouldn't exactly look good.
