Due to the recent disasters in Japan, this release was pushed back to 5/11.

Kikkawa Yuu will debut under the Universal Music Group with her debut single "Kikkake wa YOU!".
This is also to be the theme song for a movie of the same name to be released during Golden Week (end of April-early May) starring Kikkawa.

Got a new Kikka email from her staff today, also posted on the UFA site:

Basically it says that her movie, "Kikkake wa YOU!" will be released on 7/13 in a two-disc limited edition and a regular edition.

Also at the same time, a separate behind the scenes DVD will be released that shows more real situations like in the Kikka Channel videos.
The behind the scenes DVD will be available via the Universal Music Store.

The movie itself is 76 minutes, and the limited edition extra disc is a 40 minute digest with parts taken from the behind the scenes DVD.
Both the regular and limited editions come with a lottery number for a ticket to the special release events scheduled for 7/23 and 7/24.

I'm guessing she's still in H!P. The information was also announced on the H!P website, she opened for an H!P concert, and she has an UF profile. You don't just promote someone you kicked out that is going to become future competition. That would be silly.

It shows her "road to debut". Dance lessons, PV/photo shoots, press conference, etc.

Thanks for clearing things up! That's amazing. I really look forward to seeing and hearing more of her, and hopefully she'll be one of the main acts in H!P Summer concert

She was probably able to score a special deal with UMG cuz of her fabulous voice and looks.

Just got a Kikka email.
She said she's going to be a regular on "Hiru nan Desu!!" each week on Tuesday.

Also, she said Kikka Channel episode 6 is out:

This time is the shooting of the PV!
For her first outfit, she says the things to look out for are the playing card symbols on the skirt.
Also, she says "the material is similar to an umbrella. It's got a slippery texture to it".

Then there's a little part at the end with her recording the narration for the single's commercial.

And with that, this single is all finished!
