Didn't want to start a new thread for this, but WTF, really?
24 to return without Kiefer Sutherland?
Fox is considering bring back 24 without Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer...
In a weekend of big news, one of the juiciest stories to emerge was the suggestion that Fox is mulling over an idea for a 24 revival, without its star Kiefer Sutherland.
Speaking at a Television Critics Association event, Fox’s television big-wigs Dana Walden and Gary Newman discussed a pitch that had come in for a Bauer-less season of 24 for 2016.
"We would love nothing more than to do another 24. That's a constant focus for us," Newman stated, beforing confirming that Howard Gordon, Evan Katz and Manny Coto (the producers of 24) had pitched them an idea which "could have gone either way" with regards to Mr Sutherland’s involvement.
"We have discussed it with him," Walden said. "Potentially, he won't be in this instalment, we're not sure yet. We're not that far along but I know he supports us doing more 24. We're not talking about continuing the show without him; we're talking about whether there's one instalment that he's not in."
"I think great characters with that creative team … I look at everyone that surrounded Kiefer in that last instalment — I think it could work.” "[The pitch] was in the very origin stages and it could have gone either way," Walden confirmed.
"There was a point at which Jack Bauer could come in and fit very organically into their story or they were prepared to do something that would be the one instalment without him."
So, 24: The Chloe O'Brian Show? It's got our vote.

http://www.msn.com/en-ca/entertainment/tv/24-to-return-without-kiefer-sutherland/ar-AA8kSnvNow I admit, with the backstory of the series as a whole, if they do decide to go ahead with this, it can potentially work with the right story and, more importantly, with the right cast. With that being said though, IMO it still wouldn't be the same without Jack Bauer.
