I miss Junjun.

I gotta say, to this day, I'm still not sure of how she came about to joining Morning Musume.

Can someone please inform poor little me of how she was discovered, or even recommended to Tsunku.

The only thing I know about her pre-debut is that auditon from that show she did in China. Did Tsunku see that or something?

Sure.

In China, there's a TV show something like American Idol (and other ___ Idol shows from other countries) called Super Girl.

Junjun auditioned and ended up as one of the finalists. Of course she didn't win though.

So, Tsunku (or whoever made the decision) wants to add in a couple Chinese girls to add some international appeal to Morning Musume.
He's already got Linlin in the Eggs, who has been on Chinese TV since she was little and was supposedly recommended to Tsunku by someone.
But where does that leave Junjun?

Without telling anyone, Tsunku holds a private audition (I forgot if thus was in Beijing or Tokyo) where only the Super Girl finalists are invited.
Next thing you know, we get the first two non-Japanese members of Morning Musume.

It's easy to say you miss Junjun since she's no longer in Morning Musume, but it's not like she completely disappeared like Eri.

She's still actively blogging (in both Chinese and Japanese), and she's still as beautiful and charming as ever. In retrospect, it's a real shame that she was underutilized during her time in Momusu, especially as she brought a much needed spark of personality to the group, so I do hope she stumbles upon something big in her home country. The Hong Kong movie industry isn't too far away compared to Japan physically and culturally.

In the meantime, I'm glad she can still manage to stay in some kind of spotlight for now thanks to the magic of the internet.

I've brought this up before but I still have to wonder, with her using the same blog given to her while she was still in the group, that if she's still with a subsidiary of Up Front or an agency with a connection to UFA.
