Well lots of tears and cheers at the recent Budokan concert.....
Lemon gets a concurrent position with NMB48....she cried when she heard Mina Oba, a good friend of Miori, was getting a concurrent position with SKE48, and doubled those tears when she heard about her concurrent position with NMB48....But Miyuki (who holds a concurrent position) gave a huge Miyuki welcome smile and wave to Miori, and by the time everyone was saying goodbye to the audience, Miori was wearing a coast to coast smile while waving to the fans.
Riho has her concurrent position with AKB48 ended, and she is back to NMB48 only. Didn't really get to see much of Riho in AKB48, but as she has a good part in Geinin, I think NMB48 is the place for her.
Yui, to the shock of a lot of fans, lost her concurrent position, and Yui was upset. I agree with most fans that Yui was fitting in really well with the NMB48 team. I do not however look at this as 'replacing Yui with Lemon'. That conjecture is nonsense. These transfers, as far as I can tell, have at least two purposes:
a) get a big star even more buzz by concurrent positions- such as Milky and Jurina. Basically, double their workload, and get as much gold from the goose as possible
b) get a future star, or strong personality, some extra exposure, and also bring some of her team's style to another team- such as Riho or Anna Ishida- I don't think these concurrent positions were ever supposed to be permanent.
With Miori and Mina, I think they can definitely bring some of the Team 4 experiences they had to the mid and low ranking members of NMB48 and SKE48.
With Fuuko I do worry about the extra worlkload on her- she is quite young, and she already is a bit too thin. I think it is a great experience for her to see the AKB48 style, so I hope the management looks after her and don't push her too hard.
Some pictures, and then a great clip from YouTuber NMBMilky (Arigatou!!)
