Twas one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced in my life!
I don't know what the theme was before but this was her trying to get to the Monster Ball and each scene was a different obstacle, like the car breaking down at the start.
Because my city is only 2 hours from Sydney, when big stars come here they tend to cut out some of the big acts in their show (like Pink didn't do the trapeze thing here last tour), but Gaga didn't. No discrimination from her YAY~ :D
One of the biggest things I took from the concert though was that previously I had seen her as the 'sex/controversy sells so I'ma do whatever I can to get more moneyzzzzz' kind of person, but now I don't. The lack of clothes, sex references and controversies are all just who she is, its not an act to make more money. From the video clips that played while they changed the stage you can really see how purely artistic she is and every single thing she does has so much love and thought in it. She just oozes the underground New York art scene feel and I love that about her
I have a rather conservative (or maybe just traditional) Catholic friend who loves Lady Gaga, but she seemed to be put off. She loves Britney and all the other American "artists" who play up to that sexual image, but I think she handles that fine because she knows its mostly a marketing act. I think the darker side of Gaga's art and sexual image was too much for her coz its more than just a marketing ploy XD

Probably the best thing was that we usually get bags checked for cameras and confiscated, but Lady Gaga & her management gave strict instructions to allow fans to bring cameras in (as long as they weren't the crazy super lens ones) & made reference in one of the videos that history is made through photos and she is so thankful to her fans for making her history by taking so many photos  + the only way to "kill the monster" in Paparazzi was to take photos of it apparently XD

Lady Gaga is a guilty pleasure for me. She reminds me very much of Prince for all the reasons mentioned earlier. Like Prince, she can sing i.e. sing well, has total creative control of her songs, writes, arranges, produces her own songs and she absolutely knows to advertise. I don't know whether she'll wear some assless pants or change her name to a symbol like Prince did, but the similarities are definately there, and considering how much I admire Prince as a musician, songwriter and showman on and off stage, I can't help but feel the same way for her too.

To me, she's the best thing to happen to pop in a long time.

@Lollipop: One thing I learned early on from Lady Gaga is she's a fan pleaser. She releases a BUNCHA stuff for fans to purchase, seriously, I don't think there's anything left for fans to not buy. I mean, she gave away locks of her hair wigs! Also, she has one of the cheapest concert ticket sales EVER. The only time she ever gets expensive is when she tours with big names.
For example, before Kanye West fucked up their tour together, the tickets were over $100 for the cheapest. But when she decided to tour solo (for Fame Monster) her most expensive tickets, the ground level/front row tickets, were $150 at most(?) (before resale). REAL CHEAP.
Back then, you could see Lady Gaga for $50 bucks at a very good spot.

It was her birthday yesterday...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LADY GAGA!

Uhh, Alejandro is so into my head right now~♪

I've started to pay attention to Gaga recently. Honestly, it started to bug me a lot that everybody was compared to her and think that she is the most innovative person ever. Bus she has admited to have influences and I like that; of course she adds an unique touch to not be so cliché and well, I've been reading some of her interviews and she seems very down to heart which is always refreshing for someone as talented as she is.

I wish her the best  :twothumbs
