Recommend doramas which u think are must-watch doramas... spread the dorama love yo...
i recommend : Densha otoko
its teh dorama that got me hooked onto jdoramas, a funny love story abt a geek...
-
^ Ahum, I also recommend a spell checker...
(google's 'Did you mean: recommend' already helps :))
-
Densha Otoko was the reason I got hooked to J-Dramas. At first, the intensity of the acting needed some getting used to, but after you get over that, it's all fun. After Densha Otoko I've watched many other dramas that are also recommended, namely Hana Yori Dango, N's Aoi, Kurosagi, Attention Please and My Boss My Hero.
EDIT: How the hell did i forget about Nobuta wo Produce? Bye cycle!
-
Good Luck!
its my favorite
-
Nobuta wo Produce definitely. it really got me hooked from start to finish...
oooh oooh almost forgot "1 Litre of Tears"..
if you miss those two you should be shedding 1 litre of tears for missing the very best..
-
Old-school prerequisites:
LONG VACATION
VIRGIN ROAD
HITOTSU YANE NO SHITA
AISHITERU TO ITTEKURE
-
old school indeed. beach boys. I watched that when i was like 8 man XD
-
-Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu
-Ichi Rittoru no Namida
-Attention Please
If you haven't seen those yet and decide to, I recommend you watch them in that order. Watching "1 litre" first would probably take the impact away from Sekai no Chuushin.
You should save Attention Please for last for comedy relief from the first 2 otherwise you might get really depressed and take your life!...or not.

Kisarazu Cat's Eye
I'm watching it currently and it's one of the best dramas I've seen in a while. It's funny and crazy but at the same time very serious. Definitely a must-see!!
Summer Snow
My all-time favorite drama. I love the characters and everything that happens around them. It's completely different from KCE but a must-see too.
-
i recommend shinsengumi! if you like roman and action dorama
then mukodono (2001) and 1 litre tears for family genre
those three are the best dorama i ever watch till today
-
I havn't really seen alot of dorama's but i randomly watched "Love Complex (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Love_Complex)" and absolutley loved it!
Its really crazy, and got loads of recognisable actors in it (like over half of the main cast). I recommend it to anyone who wants a laugh! :D

- Nobuta Wo Produce - this was my first jdrama in a long (first being Love Generation), and i totally loved it.
- Gokusen 2
- Engine - this was very good - the lil kid was just too cute. i bawled in the end... you'll see.
- ONE LITRE OF TEARS - this is an absolute must-watch. don't worry, it's not overrated.
-

Most of the ones I like have been mentioned like Hana Yori Dango, My Boss, My Hero, and others, but there is one more I'd like to mention:Stand Up!! It was the first dorama I ever saw (just the six subbed episodes on d-addicts) and I enjoyed it very much.
-
RONDO starring Takenouchi Yutaka and Choi Ji Woo. It's a pretty good Japanese-Korean crime drama with some fantastic cinematography that is still pretty rare for J-dramas.
It came out early last year so yah... it's recent.

For people interested in mystery/thriller/romance, you need
Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi (a.k.a. One Million Stars Falling from the Sky)
Cast
Akashiya Sanma as Dojima Kanzo
Kimura Takuya as Katase Ryo
Fukatsu Eri as Dojima Yuko
Igawa Haruka as Nishihara Miwa
Shibasaki Kou as Mizashita Yuki
It's really good... ;)

Thanks for the heads up, i'd never heard of that one!
-
densha otoko --->> :ONxD:
On a whim, I went ahead and watched the first episode on a live stream channel. At first, it was pretty boring (I skipped a few unimportant "I'm-so-lame" scenes) and then it got exciting and funny when the BBS came up!
I'm excited to see the rest now.. :P
-
if you love japanese food, then this jdorama is for you.
LUNCH QUEEN
Tsumabuki Satoshi
Yamashita Tomohisa
Yamada Takayuki
Morita Go
Itoh Misaki
after watching this series, it makes me want to cook japanese food too.
-
^ Haha, "Teppan Shoujo Akane" is also good for japanese food-fix. It's a manga based drama with cheesy dialogues and a formulaic storyline. I enjoyed it.
Also "14 sai no haha" - I finished it up awhile back. truly touching, and yet controversial. http://wiki.d-addicts.com/14_Sai_no_Haha (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/14_Sai_no_Haha)
