I agree, it's not that hard to do L's role. If anything, I don't think I even have to act haha. Good movie still and can't wait for the second one with subs. Never read the manga, but I also like the anime.

wow, lot of people havent read the manga.....

i think the manga is quite addictable, when my friend gave me the manga scan i read it nonstop. it's a great manga though. in my place there is a local anime magz that give this manga as one of the best manga for 2006

I liked the manga and read through almost all of it in a matter of days

It sorta went downhill halfway through though.

After seeing the movie, I have to say I think I like the movie more than the manga.

yeah rite, after L chapter finished it went kinda downhill, but it still great... and the movie was great too, but still dont know bout the ending in the movie, will it be the same with the manga??

i watch death note 2 the last name already.. it was yup different from the comic series... but it turns out realli good too i think hahax.. L outwin light.. but both died at the end =(.. L did a sacrifice i suppose.. to nabbed Light!

However, from the first movie, it's not really according to the Manga. Kira isn't as handsome as the one in Manga though. L looks pretty fine to me. Light's sister and Misa are cute =X

Light Sister (Hikari Mitsushima) is not that cute though
She is a model actually & she also play in one of Toku series (Ultraman Max)

i finally got around to watching the movie. and i thought it was kinda wack compared to the masterpiece of a manga. what's his face totally sucked as L. Light was actually ok except that he looked too old, but his acting was pretty good. i think they just tried to do too much in the 2hrs, felt too rushed, they didnt build up light's genius enough. the last half hour was kinda like wtf, but necessary. i could be mad about the extra character... but kashii yu is LOVE~

ill see how the second movie works out.

just saw this, a few days pass. i havent seen the anime nor read the manga so the to me the movie was GOOD. but i hear some ppl that have seen the anime/read the manga didnt find found that the anime and manga were better.
i want to see deathnote 2 soon. cant seem to find it =/

I have to say... this was disappointing when compared to the anime. The movie did not have any suspense in it. THe only great thing was the Deathgod. I was thinking how they'd pull him off - good ol computer graphics.

I still haven't watched the 2nd one! can't find it anywhere.... I like the first one, even though it's different from the manga. Ryuk was awesome! but Misa isn't as cute as I thought (maybe it's her voice? I have this thinking that Misa's voice should be all cute and soft and... you know..)

so ......is the 2nd movie to be found anywhere ,subbed?
i just watched the first and thought it was a great movie.
I don't understand how someone could live from eating sugars non-stop.
gah, shouldnt worry about it too much, since its fiction anyway.
