Finally!!! I've been waiting so long for Chinami's own thread! She's my most favorite H!P kid, and I only like about 5 of those kids. :|

I still wonder why she doesn't get as much attention as the more popular members like Miyabi, Momoko, and Risako. Chinami has the most cutest smile of all the BK members and can be as much fun as some of them, especially Momoko and Risako. :-D

I believe that one of these days, if she stays long enough, Chinami will hit everyone like a tons bricks. Just wait and see, I think it'll happen! ;)

My favorite Berry!! :D Not the greatest singing voice, but that's not what Chinako's about. :lol: From the top of my head, I can't remember any moment where she's not smiling.

That "WOW WOW WOW" thing in the piriri to yukou! PV where she shoves her head in close to the camera on each "WOW" is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Ahaha, it does weirdly enough! She always usually had them in pigtails, hence why I thought it was adorable, but she looks more awesome with short hair~

She got more solos in Boyfriend that i knew of XD

But anyways, in the H!M performance at around 1:45, she has this SUPER ADORABLE pouty expression. I  seriously couldn't help going, "Aww!" XD

I didn't like Chinami's long hair before and I was glad that she cut it. But when I saw an old Flet's clip (where Risako was the one with the videocam) where she had pony tails, I wish she had that hair right now. She looked absolutely cute with that hairstyle. :)

Chinami has such a warm, genki personality, it's impossible not to love her. She's getting slightly tomboy-ish with time, but I like it about her.

I don't know, depends how biased you are with Chinami. :lol: I prefer ballads because they sound better with the live band playing.

Ayaya has the most ballads so what else is there to choose from? :P

One physical feature I love about Chinami is that when she smiles, her eyes almost literally go like this: ^______^ I can't wait for that HPH episode! And I'm also hoping that she gets a Goto ballad, praying for "Suppin to Namida" :heart: I think she'd do okay with it.

Chinami did great!  She seems real shy in the talk segmant but I loved her performance.  

I'm not just saying because she's my favourite, but it was definitely my favourite Berry performance, and definitely top 3 overall, maybe first actually.  Simply because the performance made me smile.

Like Keron said and i said previously she honestly is fine for her age.  I still go to school with people her age and older that are still kid-style-skinny.
At some point around 18 probably for her she'll start growing mroe muscle etc - it's cuz she's still growing height-wise a lot.  She's 162 which is pretty good for a japanese girl her age from what i can tell

Just watched Chinako's solo DVD magazine... Man, I love this girl. She's smart, but yet she's not. :D

It sort of makes you wonder when they shot this DVD, though, considering she mentioned the part about the dog and chimpanzee again. That interview was from months ago.

We have that chimpanzee and dog show here. ;D Thechimp is called Pan-kun and the dog's a bulldog called James. Pan-kun is given a task each week that he has to do and he has to bring James along. What does James do? Be Pan-kun's burden, that's all he does. ;D My mom is addicted to the show.

I haven't watched her DVD yet since I'm still waiting for a direct download. Spoil me the results of domino and candy challenges, Ayabie. >:D

Survival Domino!
I don't remember who said it, probably Risako, but when describing Chinami she mentioned that she's really focused when doing certain things, and it shows during the domino challenge. She even did a thinking pout! She spent 3 minutes on the B... the K surprised me. It didn't really look like one, but at least she managed to get it right. :D The subtle mind of a genius, or just luck? Odango get!

Random Talk #1 (w/ Momo)
According to Chinami herself, they once spoke over the phone for over 30 minutes, whereas Momo was confused over if they really did. :D

Random Talk #2 (w/ Captain)
Both of them and their mothers recently went to the amusement park together.

Box Game
Of all members, Chinami had the worst reaction during this game. :D She got teary eyed.

Berryz Koubyou. (x2) LOL

Candy Challenge
Chinami quickly went and weighed one of the candies, in her case she got 5g, and then it was time for her to show off her math skills. :D She did get it mathematically correct, but unfortunately she picked the wrong pieces and got the final result to 95g. "Toku-chan saikou!"

Thanx for the mic recording, but it's not a surprise she's not heard a lot since she had no solo lines, but it seems that because she had them previously - Saki and Maasa didn't - so now they have lines she doesn't.
It'd better if all they all just had lines, in most other H!P groups(not c-ute though) solo lines in singles are spread out more.  I think that's why lots of BK fans like the b-sides a lot, (they are good but like them even more)
Chinami sounded so great in the aitai kedo performance!

Good question heh. It sounds like it after that one loud scream eh?
I don't really think it's because the concert is ending (sadness mixed with joy).
I would rather guess she.. maybe bumped into someone (or almost) and was scared/shocked which made her teary.
Or the funny explaination... you know the stage layout includes a ring around the "arena" seats like it's often at H!P concerts and they were walking around it at the end (I just can't remember when exactly). They get close to some wota at this point, maybe Chinami saw some really creepy wota and it made her screem and become teary  :lol:

Momoiro Kataomoi seems like it would fit chinami's vocal tone! I likes it.
In Semi her lines always sound good so I'd guess that her singing it solo would also sound good.

So maybe we will be lucky and hear it nevertheless, just later.
There are solo events again in September though, but since the releases are scheduled for September I think there is too little time for them to make it to DVD (also I'm not sure if c-ute is having also some again) so those have to be these past solo events :3 it also says the DVDs are approximately 60mins long, wonder if all those 4 (3) events fit fully on one dvd...
But anyway, there is still a chance we get to hear and see something of her solo event :)

So, while we're on the topic of Chinako's hairstyle, she requested for some advice on today's Kiritsu on what to do with her hair. She decided way before that she wanted it to grow to her shoulders, but it's obviously way longer than that by now. :lol:

Personally I think it's perfect as it is, but since we've never seen it extremely long, I think she might as well go for that.

The photo of three girls (I assume Chinami, Captain, and someone else) in front of window sign or something is also unique in that it was altered using Photoshop CS3 Macintosh. (This could have been done solely to lighten the image, etc. Did someone here already know that because THEY are the one who did that before posting?)

Lastly, the two remaining photos (of Maimi's face) have not useful metadata associated with them to draw any substantive conclusions.

My suspicions:
The photos were not pulled from a stolen phone. Rather, they could have been found on a site for uploading photos, a photoblog, or some other collection of photos. Or, these photos are a combination of the above mentioned possibilities.

Or... some are faked. Metadata was altered to appear like they came from phones, with look-alikes playing the parts. Even the DOG is faked! LOL

What fucking pictures has that person been looking at? :lol: The close-ups of Maimi and that one pic of the AKB member has nothing to do with this. The original .zip had 8 files, 7 pictures and one sound recording. Besides, the person didn't actually steal the actual phone, he most likely just "borrowed" the micro SD card and copied the information on it.

Oh, and purikura nowadays lets you download the pictures directly into your phone. Yeah, the wonders of Japan.

The pictures are real, not worth arguing over that.

A lot of different pictures were posted in the thread at the time of the event, I guess those picures were among them.

And the card never disappeared, the guy just copied whatever was on it. It's possible Chinami didn't even notice someone had fumbled with her phone until some fans reported it - if they really did report it, that is.

^Yup, recently I saw some pictures of Momoko taken on a sub-way train - she was playing on her pink DS. So that just proves that not only Chii is a some kind of a "target" for stalkers - they are another mishap of being popular and famous. It's just that H!P girls are allowed to lead practically normal life - no guards are following them. So stalkers are something that can't be changed. We just should hope that none of stalker photos cause another scandal.  :prayers:

She has her own style, usually looking good.

She's still my second favorite.
I had trouble at 21ji made no cinderella at the concert with her and Yurina, didn't know who to look at because Yurina is close on #3, so I tried to just look at both switching...
Anyway, I had a discussion some time ago with someone about Chinami's true self, based on stalker pics and clips (mostly other than posted here) you could get the impression she's isn't that happy when being "off-stage". In my opinion it's just normal that you look rather gloomy when going around alone but the other person was wondering if she's maybe only/mostly playing the energetic Chinami for the cameras but is not really like that in real life.
Well now, that we've got some pics from her phone, I think even more that I was right and she's really energetic/happy for the most time and just not looking like that when being alone. Of course she has ups and downs too (assuming) but I don't think it's all acting, the genkiness

don't take this too serious, I only wanted to write something to avoid a one-line reply (I really had the discussion and all though, it's not fiction lol)

i dont think it's acting chinami just has a random personality like the kind that is only energetic when she's with her friend.

For the moment at least they put more focus on the "underdogs" therefore also Chinami.
It should stay like that o/ magazine-wise. As for lines in songs I have a different opinion  :ph43r:
But now Chinami should get a PB soon, if she wants to make one. >:|
(I sometimes wonder if some don't get one because they don't want to like jump around in bikini's in front of a camera).
By the way, why aren't there more scans of Chinami in BLT ? There have been some of Maimi already but only that one of Chinami.

But meh, guess you are right, thinking of shop sales there are probably not enough loyal wota for those member to make enough profit with such PBs.
If they would shoot one in Tokyo or some area easy to reach it wouldn't be that expensive to make one tho! Then release it as limited special on this UFG shop. They should risk it for the sake of the member's fans >:|

From what I understand what Ayabie wrote he never said Chinami is not getting attention.
The point just was that everyone - even Maasa and Saki - are getting such features in magazines and therefore we shouldn't expect or put too many hopes in Chinami to become lead in Berryz or some other major change.
We're all free to hope for more of course. Looking at shirenu's voice poll I guess Ayabie also doesn't/wouldn't mind Chinami having more lines  ;)

We all agree it's good that she gets more attention at the moment. She deserves it after all  :w00t:

But it's not about being negative, just being realistic.
Even if every member has enough fans to have PBs, why aren't they getting one?
If it's not the members themselves UpFront has to have a reason. Since they aren't known to be a welfare group it wouldn't be surprising to find the reason looking at profit made by PBs. Maybe they want some % profit they don't expect with a Chinami PB.
Well we don't really know the truth, she could also get one soon, who knows. UpFront is to blame at any rate!

Hey, I'm just as happy for her as you are, but do note the same things happening to her comrades in C-ute.

H!P is undergoing huge changes, and from how I see it, they're basically "replacing" the older generation with the younger and fresher one, i.e (Current) Morning Musume, Berryz, C-ute and lately the Eggs. And to make that work they have to slap these unknown members' faces to the public eye or they'll just be overshadowed by their elders.

berrikyu chinami was one of the members that was featured the most.

it's not being realistic when there are girls who sell more than other and still dont get a pb. maasa for example, she sells more than all the otehr berryz besides momo, risako and miya,  but does she have a pb? no and kumai has one, but she sells less than maasa. miya is the

first i never said chinami was getting more attention than everybody and that she was gonna be lead singer. i didn't even mention me having hopes of a pb. i only said i was happy that she is getting more attention. that so are the otherones good for them but i said sweet chii cuz she's my favorite and im more happy for her than for the other ones. and any ways she is getting more attention than saki and massa lately. is not me just saying that or hoping for it.

the sells change every month. august was different sells but still the same. and i'm not making assumptions,sometimes some girls sale more than other but it keeps changing.  that was only september, it doesnt mean that's how it goes on every month.

i'm not saying airi is less popular than maimi but their sales keep changing every month, one month one sells more than the other.
i think airi is only more popular than maimi within hp! and the fans because she's publish on many magazines all the time and airi isn't.

and like i said pb's are not only about sales i think it also has to do with the girls. if they want to and also the parents. if it was only about sales miya would have more than just one pb.

/me sees the recent member flamage and tosses in a couple of pennies.


If anyone feels that an unfair statement has been made about them, they should use the "Report to Moderator" function to alert the staff about what happened.  If this function had been used in the first place instead of posting a public "rant" post in the thread, it would have prevented all this negativity that I've seen in the last few posts.  Once the report would have been made, someone on the staff would have done a simple IP check to see if the two accounts in question, were in fact, emerging from the same ISP (i.e. the same "computer internet address" so to speak). If the IP address from the 2 accounts matched, then more likely than not it would mean that the two accounts were the same person, or at least were emerging from the same household computer.

Seeing as how no statement about anything like that has been made so far, it's safe to say that what we have here are 2 big Chinami fans, and not just 1.  Either way, this would have all been done privately and would have ONLY involved those directly involved.


Seriously though, it IS rather unfair for the ENTIRE forum to be labeled as "haters" when 99% of them aren't even aware, let alone involved in this little spat.  The "Report" function is always the preferable method for dealing with problems of this nature. When used, the issue gets dealt with quickly and discreetly so that no further unfair/untrue accusations can be made by either side.

Let's see... in terms of going through a hard time "Sabori". I couldn't get the notes during the recording so I was sent to the piano with the director, but even that didn't help at all. The really rough atmosphere in the studio during that time is something I won't forget. I just wanted to go home, and by the time everything finished I just broke down in tears because of how mortifying it was.

-- "Times like that are really tough, the feeling of not having a place to escape to... Well then, out of the Berryz Koubou members, is there someone's behavior that you just don't get?"

Momo's pinky (lol). The way it points just keeps getting more obvious, it makes you wonder how far it can go. And the angle when she's holding a mic is like the pinky could move around freely in a 180 degree radius (lol).

"For real (lol). Any member that you would like to say something to?"

Maasa! "We go to the amusement park together sometimes, but please, no more haunted houses!" is what I'd say. The ones where everyone scream and go together is still acceptable, but the ones where you just put on earphones and experience it all by yourself, Maasa seems to like those. I'll pass, though.

-- "What about rollercoasters and the likes?"

I've been able to ride those now ever since I've been going to amusement parks with Maimi. It's not something I look forward to, but more like a duty I have to go through when that I'm at the amusement park. (lol)

-- "Teenage girls sure like amusement parks~ Apart from that, are there any other amusement spots you like?"

As part of a shooting we went to an aquarium. The place was closed during the shooting and the lack of people just made the floating water tanks so much more beautiful, I was totally caught up in the mysterious-like atmosphere. So, during the summer break I went there together with my family, but as expected with all of the people I just thought to myself "I don't remember aquariums being this boring" (lol).

-- "Did that make you lose interest?"

After that incident I just can't help wanting to go to the aquarium at random times. I kind of get calmed down just by looking at pictures of seals and dolphins, and I've noticed it makes my troubles fade away.

-- "Wow~ That might be one hell of a aquarium fetish (lol). Kind of like everything you've been wishing for is right there, right?"

Yeah, exactly. The other day I even bought a book called "A guide to the nation's aquariums" or something. (lol)

Watching the DVD Magazine also made me want to go to that aquarium. Even though I think they are boring too it looked fun when Berryz was there.

There is some "new" (newly posted) phone recording of chinami. I don't like to post that kind of stuff actually but I also post mic recordings so whatever ne.

Ah, the whole story is on some previous page. Her phone or at least some memory card of it was stolen. A couple of pics and one recording from that phone/card were uploaded (afaik). Now some days ago I got hold of this other recording and another picture that I didn't see before. So it's recorded by herself. Not supposed to be public (that's why I've mixed feelings about sharing it further)
The whole thing is weird, but that's what it's like :lol:

Chinami Tokunaga Collapses on Stage



Berryz Koubou fans who visited the spring concert in Tokyo (Berryz Koubou Concert Tour 2009 Spring ~Sono Subete no Ai ni~) on 2009-04-05 have reported that Chinami Tokunaga collapsed on stage.

A short while after Chinami collapsed, fellow member Momoko Tsugunaga came out on stage and said that “Chinami just got over enthusiastic and used up too much energy, but she will be fine”. A recording of Momoko’s message has confirmed the news.

It looks like Chinami will be fine, but earlier a concert had to be canceled and many members have had to excuse themselfs because of health issues before. Maybe the girls need a bit more rest.

As a group, the most important thing is without a doubt solidarity! We use games to boost this. To say the least, they did assemble Hello! Project's gaming lovers after all! During bus trips and break time we always bundle up with our DS's or PSPs. Whenever we're doing "Band brothers" (aka Daigassou! Band Brothers) we're usually doing our personal favorite parts, but when it comes to the guitar and bass things get ugly. It's kind of because you're the one standing out, and we all like standing out.
Though, as we actually start playing everyone turn into their serious selves, since if we're unable to become one with each other we won't get any good music going. The other day we did our own songs "Special Generation" and "VERY BEAUTY"... and it was really hard. We sure realized the toughness of this.

We're into competitive games, as well. Titles like "Bomberman" and "Mario Kart" do a good job bringing forth the competitiveness in the members. If there was to be a game tournament held in Hello! Project, there's no way I'd lose!

Hahaha, Mario Kart definitely brings out the competitiveness. :lol: Me and my bro have to always play in the same team or I'll get furious when I lose! So cute and funny to see them love gaming and be all serious about it like all of us geeks.

My Chinami story: I didn't really pay attention to her at first, i think i only started to notice her around...that ChiNatsu time...and then she got prettier and prettier...hard not to notice her...

My first pic of Chinami lol! She basically looks the same as now, except she's grown to her features more and thus got prettier. XD

Now that Maasa has a live action role, I hope Chinami will get a project of her own as well, or she'll be officially "bottom of the pack" in Berryz :panic: Chinami's pretty awesome, she deserves more love.

She has announced plans to go overseas to study English. We've all known how much she liked trying to speak the language, so it's great to see her put a more serious effort into it now! Yes, Chii, you can do it! :twothumbs

She still wants to stay on as an advisor for H!P, so we should look forward to her return in a year or so. Perhaps she'll take on a similar role as Aika?

Also I wonder if Riho's graduation had any influence on the decision to do this now.

Cooking and housework should be taught at school.

My opinion is disagree.

●If a school teaches cooking and housework to students,their parents will not do it anymore. They will think it's not their job and if their children can't cook and do housework they will complain and they will tell the school. For example "why can't our children cook and do homework, I think it's because of your school " so my opinion is that parents teach both cooking and housework to their children.


●If children and parents do things together, they can have good relationships. I think at the moment many children don't speak with their parents enough. So they can't talk about their problems to each other. They should speak more.


●If students are taught cooking at school they might use gas stoves and knives. Actually, this problem depends on the school. For example, when I was at junior high school my class had 37 students with 1 teacher. So it's too many students for just 1 teacher. So if there are not many students in a class they can use gas stoves and knives,but if there are a lot of students in the class I think they shouldn't. Because the teacher can't watch all the students at the same time. 


●On the other hand, I think it's good idea for children to learn how to clean up after themselves. If parents and teachers always clean up for the children, they will never be able to clean up for themselves.


●In conclusion, I don't think it's a good idea that students learn to cook at school,but I think that they should learn how to clean.

This is too surreal for me...I had been wondering since 2012 when I was gonna be in the vicinity of Berryz Kobo again, and those hopes were dashed when they went on hiatus broke up, but the basketball gods have brought one of them to the Bay Area!
