Idoling!!! to Break Up in October

Idol group Idoling!!! announced on Friday that they will break up this October.

According to multiple sources, the decision was made after multiple meetings for the group to break up since last month.

The idol group currently has twenty-one active members spanning six generations since their 2006 debut. In late December, their 13th member Serina Nagano announced at an event commemorating the release of her single “Yuki Usagi” at Odaiba Diver City in Tokyo that she will graduate from the group on March 28.

In October, 2006 auditions were held for 50 people in agencies wherein 9 idols were chosen to debut as first generation members. Their Fuji TV variety show began airing the next month with the concept of watching the girls as they grow as idols and experience various things and have since broadcasted over 1,000 episodes. In their nearly 10 year career, the group has released 22 singles, 7 collaboration songs with artists like AKB48 and Martin Solveig, and 5 albums so far.

Their variety television program on Fuji TV One of the same name will be concluding the September before their dissolution. New episodes currently air every Friday at 2AM on the CS Fuji TV One channel.

    　日頃より、アイドルグループ「アイドリング!!!」並びに番組「アイドリング!!!」を応援していただき、誠にありがとうございます。

    　この度のスポーツ紙における解散報道に関してご報告・ご説明致します。

    　２００６年１０月の番組スタート以来、『現在進行形で成長するアイドル』として活動するアイドリング!!!は、アイドルのみならず女優・歌手・タレントと、様々なジャンルで活躍することを夢見る女の子たちの集合体です。彼女たちはアイドルグループであると同時に、フジテレビのマルチメディア戦略の担い手として、地上波・ＣＳ放送・ＢＳ放送・配信・携帯コンテンツなど、幅広いフィールドで活躍してきました。
    　ファンの皆様の応援を頂き、９年目となる現在まで活動を継続させて頂いてまいりましたが、昨年末より番組及びグループ活動の終了の話が現実味を帯びてきたのは事実です。しかし、終了時期とそこに向けた展開は、今年２月に入り、ようやく関係各所との協議・調整に入ったところで、具体的な内容は確定しておらず、まだ正式に発表できる段階ではありません。

    　詳細が固まり次第、真っ先にファンの皆様へご報告致しますので、それまでは、状況を静かに見守っていただければ幸いです。

    　これまで、数々のドッキリ企画を行ってきたアイドリング!!!ですが、今回、残念ながら「アイドリング!!!メンバー並びにファン様へのドッキリ」ではありません。ただ、もっと"アイドリング!!!らしい"壮大な発表の企画を準備していたのが、今回のような報道がなされたことで、全て水の泡となったことが残念でなりません。

    　いずれにしましても、３月１８日(水)には６枚目のアルバム「ロデオマシーン」が発売され、各地でリリースイベントが開催されます。
    また、３月２８日(土)渋谷公会堂にて行われる「アイドリング!!!13号長野せりな卒業ライブ　ぷにぷに・またね・だいすき」をもって、１３号長野せりなが声優という夢に向かって第一歩を踏み出すために卒業します。さらに、４月５日(日)には豊洲PITにて「アイドリング!!!FES 2015」が開催されます。
    　まだまだ、ファンの皆様と直接向き合い、触れ合う機会は多くあります。これまで以上に、暖かい声援と、力強いご支援をお願いするとともに、この様な形での第一報となったことを、心よりお詫び申し上げます。

So, the disband matter was already in discussion last year, but the final decision was made on February.
They were planning to announce this later on 2015 but the Nikkan Sports article forced them to clarify the situation now.
Officially no dates set for the end of the show and the final of the group.

Sad, very sad.

This is truly depressing:( Any additional news on how they will proceed from now? Did they really not make that much money? Their singles sales have not exactly been very high (in the 20-40k range consistently so they may just decide to do something different rather than let it coast by. Just sad to get the feeling that the management did not trust the new members to carry the group forward...

The one other really sad thing is that many of them will not get a proper individual sendoffs that a few members who graduated before had.

I kind of felt they would disband the group rather sooner than later. However, I didn't expect it to be this soon!
I thought they would begin talking about this when there were no 1st gen members left in the group.
Because after those two leaving, several from the 2nd gen. would soon follow, and I don't think the 3, 4 and 5th members
would have "it" to lead the group and grow in popularity.

Management didn't feel confident enough about the newer members carrying the group as Blue_sweater mentioned.

It is sad indeed.

And no, it turns out they will continue TIF as part of Tokyo Idol Project. And Idoling!!! will be the host again    next year too please

Rather than an absolute end it may be a restructuration of the whole concept. Idoling!!! dissapears to give birth to a new project. Fewer members maybe no TV show.

Okay, so much stuff have been announced. I'll just skip to the important part:

- All current Idoling members will graduate on 31st October this year
- They WILL NOT disband Idoling!!! (whatever that means)
- They will hold 15th live on NIPPON BUDOKAN on October 5th 
- New 7ki members will join the group by July 

So they still keep some cards to themselves anyway. Like, firstly if all the girls graduated, who will take the Idoling!!! flag? 7ki?
What about Neo and Hip Attack? especially Neo from Idoling!!!?  Will there be an Idoling Z!!! or something with 7ki + Neo maybe? Or hell they could all be Idoling Z!!!
It's all everybody's guess. In the end, i like how they build the positivity towards this said "graduations". Makes most of the fans have something to hold on to, and excited again.

They are basically kicking out ALL the members. Even the ace ones to start anew, with all new members. Though I wonder, why are they still calling them the 7th generation? I smell a prank, but you never know.

All members of Idoling!!! to graduate after last live in October
April 4, 2015

Idoling!!! will hold their last live on October 5 at Nippon Budokan. Thereafter, all members will graduate from the group on October 31.

The members' graduation was announced on April 3 during Fuji TV ONE's regular program 'Idoling!!!'. In the 10th year since the group started, the members will each go their separate ways.

Regarding the announcement, Idoling!!!'s producer Kanbara Takashi commented, "On the day that marks the 10th year since the start of their activities, the members will each break out of their practice place called Idoling!!!, and walk toward their dreams with their own legs." He also explained explained the reason why all members will be graduating instead of the group disbanding, "Idoling!!! will not disband. It will continue to exist as the 'starting point' for all members who will graduate, and also for members who have graduated. I believe that concept will move onto the next stage."

On April 5, Idoling!!! will hold a live event at Toyosu PIT and member number 23 Ito Yuna will graduate. Until the end of October, Idoling!!! will be active as a 19-member group. More details regarding their Nippon Budokan live will be revealed later.
