I just got back from my trip from Japan and wanted to share with you one of the highlights which was the chance to see this graduation concert (my first, hopefully of many, live Idoling!!! concert).
I was only my way back to Tokyo and was able to meet Hatix in Akiba at about 3pm. He showed me a few shops which have Idoling!!! And idols related goods (some of which I would not be able to find on my own). We then proceeded to Odaiba and waited for the on-the-day tickets that were on sale at 6pm. We were first in line for that so there was no problem getting tickets at all. Concert started on the dot at 7pm. Hatix and I managed to get a position towards the back with ok view of the stage. I can’t really remember the order of the concerts but here are the impressions:
- Suu-chan sang all the songs. It was great to see the likes of Te no Hira no Yuuki (which is barely sung compared to Love Magic Fever) and Makehende being performed (albeit for the last time as a complete group). Makehende was very emotional as always.
- As Hatix mentioned before, since all songs were suu-chan-centric, there was actually surprisingly no song from ‘Daijina Mono’ album at all. I was expecting and wanting Gambare Otome (the surefire staple in every live concert) and Hyakkaryouran Idoling!!! to be performed at some point (since they are the one I actually know the the majority of the lyrics) but they never did.
- Sayonara Matane Daisuki was once again the last song performed. Very fitting but it makes me wonder in the previous graduation concerts, what were the chosen last songs and whether the graduating members get to choose…
- All the girls look really nice in their dress. Does the dress colours mean anything though or were they distributed randomly?
- 5th gen really did not get to sing at all but their time will come, I’m sure:)
- Miraccho’s appearance was pretty awesome. I thought that Masuno-san had to be there but did not expect Miraccho at all. I was talking afterward with Hatix that I hope Kadokawa continues this sentimental theme and pull off the 1st gen reunion next January. Having Saya-nee singing in Cosplay-play episode and now this is epic enough but we cannot wait for that fabled reunion to happen!
- It took me some time to get used to all the chanting and light waving but that’s pretty fun
I have to say, it is pretty hard to convey how awesome and great the concert was to my friends who were on the Japan trip with me. I will be sad not to see Suu-chan in the lineup but I guess it is for the best. I’m so glad I got to go and see this concert though. Thank you so much Hatix for helping me out throughout the trip! I could not have done this without you:)
Lastly, Sotsugyou Omedetou, Suu-chan!
