Would highly recommend a show called Utopia, a British mini conspiracy thriller. In it's most basic terms and without wanting to spoil too much, a group of comic book fans unknowingly find themselves involved in a conspiracy plot and hunted down by a shadow organisation. It all sounds familiar but what sets it apart is that it is incredibly well acted (even the kid actors are fantastic), gorgeously shot, has haunting soundtrack...It all combines to make it into a truly distinct show. I won't say any more as I think it's best to just go in it blind. Just know that it's a fantastic show well worth your time.

With not being a big fan of Halle Barry and the story not sounding so interesting, I didn't expect to like Extant, but strangely I do! (not finished with S1 yet)

WHOA!! All the hype of Squirrel Girl played by Anna Kendrick, this is damn close enough: Apparently, Marvel and ABC Studios are developing a New Warriors comedy series which will put the spotlight on the obscure hero who has become a real fan-favourite in recent years.

The half hour series won't air on ABC though as it is apparently being shopped around to both cable and streaming services (a sign perhaps that it will be a little more adult in nature than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). It's certainly an interesting idea, though it sounds like it's still early days for the project.

"Described as the junior version of The Avengers," the site adds, "the New Warriors are a superhero squad made up of teenagers, one of whom would include Doreen Green (aka Squirrel Girl)." A show like this will give Marvel the opportunity to highlight a lot of relatively obscure younger characters from the comic books, and while no other names are mentioned, the likes of Speedball and Justice showing up seems likely.
