Last DVD? As in "time to work on my other career" DVD? Hadn't read that, but then I don't know any Japanese. Retirements is gravure are like comic book deaths, though.
Even as a temporary break, I'd be surprised. Maybe they haven't scheduled more DVD shoots, but they had other material from that last shoot. Some was sold to YG or YA (it's funny to see almost the same video in different colored bikinis and slightly different hair as a magazine extra and as a segment in Rakuen), possibly not exclusively, but considering the time and money, I expect them to arrange her shooting schedule efficiently.
Also, the last deal SYD made with Risa turned into an epic five DVD series. So, I'll choose to remain hopeful!

Another source. Just 2ch. Since I can understand the local language, I can tell you that people there think that she's quitting gravure for certain.
Other sources below. All of them state the same thing, which is "THIS IS THE LAST TIME". This is a typical move for gravure idols, once they become famous, they quit gravure because it's too risky and when they become famous they are not that young[Think about Risa's age, she is 25, in the Japanese sense, she is not young anymore], they become more protective and conservative.
Thanks. I've been following 2ch for awhile. Hit or miss, like anything on the Internet. As for the protective and conservative bit -- I'd say that's just a rationalization. Recently older idols have been very successful (Dan Dan and Anri Sugihara). If anything, I'd say the conservative appearance is more about the business -- the magazines pay a certain rate and attract a certain market demographic, and stars get expensive. For the stars, they simple have better options now.
"Final DVD" (I never bothered to read it -- only to recognize that I actually can!) does seem pretty final, in an immediate future sense. And all her moves last year point to repositioning the Risa brand out of men's magazines and into the broader market (with an anime/otaku specialization). More association with that AKB girl Serena, fashion magazine appearances that don't emphasize her sexiness, comedic co-hosting that aims for fun-girl charm rather than hot-damn charm, etc. I'm not sure how much time it takes to be ready for a DVD. Crazy fitness and surgery, probably, but those might go with the music territory, too. Assuming her DVDs still make money, I think (not too carefully) the main reason an idol would back out of gravure is to change her image so that she has access to other work.
She has some very smexy new images on her blog, as well as some secret project in the works (or has that passed?), so maybe just moving to fashion-type modeling.

People there are literary sick, full of lies, deceptions, fabrications, hoaxes, scams and spam. You shouldn't judge Risa by extreme examples like 2ch. I only use 2ch when I want gravure idols' racy pics. I always try not to read them... Full of shit, I'm not joking... 2ch represents the dark side of Japan in real ways.
Yeah, I admit that my statement might be a generalization, since I don't live in Japan now, I don't know what's going on there to be honest. You might be right, however, you also might wanna ruminate about the fact that "how many gravure idols enjoy mainstream success?" They want success, they wanna be famous. While it's hard to be an actress or something, it's easy to become a gavure idol. For them, in most cases, gravure is just a stepping stone. That's not their goal at all. They want to appear on TV or movies in truth because they want more money and more fame and more stability.[Gravure is one of the most unstable jobs in the world, don't you think? LOL If you can't sell your DVDs, you don't have a job next time.]
As for Poche or her latest single, simply I never even tried. LOL Because I'm only interested in her body!
