Most likely it's just her haircut. If she has gained a bit of weight, we can rest assured that Miki will help her "work" it off.

Ah! So cuuute! I thought I'd hate Ayaya's short hair as much as I did Rika's, but damn it's turning out to be so much cuter than I would've ever anticipated!

Oh and it's the haircut that makes her look Chubbier. Longer hair makes the face appear slimmer, and well shorter hair... doesn't. But there's nothing wrong with a little extra meat on Ayaya
