This year was a HUGE improvement over 2008's roller coaster of hit and miss. I like them all well enough, but I'd have to go with RIVER. The main song itself was great, and the Undergirls' song was awesome as well.

I liked Namida Surprise , but I have to go with River as it was very different from their previous singles !!

I really liked Iiwake Maybe a LOT more than the other singles this year..though all of them were good!

I loved them all, but my vote went to RIVER because I think it was the best.

My fav song of the year is kimi no koto, but I never got into river that much.

Iiwake/Tobenai makes a great set as well and is the only 2009 single I actually own...

I think I might wanna vote for Namida Surprise for sentimental values. It reminds me of the whole Paris trip.

Iiwake Maybe because;

1) it gave me a catchphrase I can actually use in real life (maybe, maybeeeee)

2) no other single will ever come close to the utter spectacle that was the election proses and the reactions to it. idol songs for me are just a means to see the girls do their stuff.

p.s. i forgot, it was also the first to recognize that the non-senbatsu girls had fans (undergirls)

It wasn't easy to choose from the four singles because they were all so good. In the end I opt for Iiwake Maybe.

I go with Iiwake Maybe because I really like it and I never get bored of listening to it. 10 Nen and Namida surprise are also nice as well. On the other hand, I am not a fan of River.

I agree with BarrieV. Iiwake/Tobenai is really a great set and I also really like Kimi no koto.

How is NamiSapu losing this? Imo, it's one of THE best written AKB48 songs out there... even thought the happy birthday part is kinda strange.
