More and more Western bands in essence do the same thing on PledgeMusic by offering perks like playing a round of golf with your favorite bandmember etc. Except you don't end up with a lifelong supply of beercoasters in that case.

Maruyama Karin passed away yesterday afternoon. Even though she had the channel where she would post daily videos, to be honest, they were hard to watch. To see someone getting weaker and weaker every day is upsetting, especially if you ever experienced a relative or friend dying from cancer. I did feel relieved when I would see that he had posted a video though, as terrible as that sounds.

Here's the video from her Shibuya release event in March. Forgot to post it earlier.

After the 2 songs, she said that her right lung had stopped functioning, which explains the way she was singing. The acoustic versions were nice though. I wonder if someone will try remix the acoustic guitar with the recorded vocals.

Not sure if I've posted about this before, but this years Hyper Japan festival in London, from 10-12 July, seems very surprising, since it's at the O2, and seems to be a much bigger event than before, and actually has a lot of performers!

Idol groups announced so far are: Dempagumi Inc, Tokyo Girls Style, Heisei Kotohime and Honey Spice. They will each perform twice, on the Saturday 1st session and on Sunday. There are some other Japanese acts like Eir Aoi and May J.

But yeah, it seems like it's going to be more competition in terms of idol groups coming to Europe, in addition to that Japan Expo in Paris, which I believe is the weekend before.

Honey Spice were the act announced today, and I hadn't listened to them before, but Hyper Japan linked their 3rd one-man-live on youtube, which I've listened to and seems like it will be a lot of fun to go to:

I'm looking forward to the whole event, will be so strange to see idol groups in the UK!

Tokyo Performance Doll's 3rd single "Dreamin'" came out this week. It's been my favourite song of theirs since I heard any of their stuff over a year back - so good to see they chose it as a single release.
